We stayed at Marina Motel May'13 and found the motel to be ideally located We had requested a baby crib for our room, however our request was not read and told at reception that we should have phoned the motel to confirm special requests. The room was smaller then expected for two double beds and a kitchen. Be aware that there is a variety of different size rooms and not all are equipped with kitchens.

It was close to all tourist attractions. It was nice and quiet and brought a nice whimsical element to the experience. The staff was really no e and always ready to help. It was an amazing stat for the price, clean and comfy, will stay here again. Oh and there was covered parking all the time! Bed was a lil old and creaky but definitely still decent.

I love the beautiful artwork on the courtyard walls. I love the individual covered carports. I love the gorgeous old world garden. I love the attention to décor in the bedrooms. There is nothing I don't like about The Marina Motel.

Free parking was the biggest drawcard as every other hotel I looked at was around us $30 per night. Room was clean. Only a 10 minute drive from Union Square. Friendly and helpful staff. N/a

Love the location, the beautiful courtyard and friendly people. Also, the parking garages are a big plus. We occasionally do the Escape From Alcatraz triathlon and its perfect for preparing and storing the bikes and other race gear. Nothing.

The hotel is a little bit tight. As much as this is a family oriented room, there's no table available to even fix your snacks or eat your breakfast; you have to confine yourself on the small space available on top of the drawer. I'm not even sure if they change the bedsheets for the next day. Wasn't really happy with the hotel itself, that's why it's the best kept secret in San Fran!! Staff at the reception were nice though.

This was a really cute place. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It was very convenient to have the garage parking and the location was great for shopping and restaurants. There was quite a bit of street noise in the room close to the street, but wearing ear plugs while sleeping was enough to block the noise.

Location was outstanding and courtyard was very pleasant. A bit noisy when other guests would climb the stairs to their rooms which were adjacent to mine.

Cozy european style, much unlike other motels on Lombard. If it wasn't for the staff, would be a perfect place. The staff is downright rude, especially the front desk person Natalia. Such people just shouldn't be allowed to face customers. If owners hire such staff, it just shows how much they care about their customers.

The location was great for the Presidio and Chestnut street has many nice cafes/restaurants good grocery store. Access to buses. I liked the fact that it is family owned and operated. The courtyard was charming. Bathrooms very nice. Our interactions with staff were pleasant. The price was very, very reasonable. It was clean and well maintained. If you end up in a room on the street you had better not mind very loud white noise from the traffic on the street. The rooms are small. We are a family of five so it was a bit cramped for a longer stay it would have gotten old. No HBO!

Having free parking, given the majority of the hotels in San Francisco have a daily fee of 35$ and above. The location of the hotel is quite ok, near the major sights of the city, however if you don't have a car or prefer walking it could be very challenging distance.

Quaint and cozy. Individual garages to park car at no additional charge. Great staff, efficient, pleasant. Location is walking distance to good restaurants Older hotel, the walls are pretty thin. I could hear the guy next door zip up his suitcase.

OK location. Clean, quiet rooms in the courtyard..Safe dedicated parking. OK wifi. Way overpriced for single night stays compared to other lodging in neighborhood! I suggest they offer a lower rate for multiple night stays. Ask for room in the rear courtyard. The Lombard St. rooms very noisy.
