Breakfast! Excellent fresh fruit and made in the moment omelets. My thanks to the omelets chef. Some of the stories about military men displayed were very moving. Loved the detail of having books to read in the bedroom. Complimentary use of laundry machines and necessary products.
Expensive parking (but it's common in San Francisco and it was not the most expensive) Windows in the room weren't totally clean and limited our enjoyment of the skyline view (which was quite nice).
Location was good. Room was a good size. Bathroom small
Overpriced for non-members
This is not a chain hotel and therefore a great place to stay if you want something a bit different .
Happy hour was a lovely touch. Location couldn't have been better.
Very noisy at night
Great staff, fantastic breakfast. Good location. Good price relative to rest if the city (conferences on) but not good enough given lack of maintenance.
Lots of ambient noise. Air conditioner pump knocked every few minutes whether on or not. Wifi patchy and unreliable.
Location and staff
This place is central and close to almost everyhing and if not the tram stops outside and will probably take you there. The breakfast is lovely and the free happy drinks are wonderful
Nothing - a little dates
Breakfast buffet, cocktail hour, location, museum atmosphere and much more.
Nothing we didn't like.
Free happy hour Inclusive breakfast
Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful reception staff, very interesting and unique building with all the Marines memorabilia.
Bar staff not very friendly.
Free happy hour and a great breakfast. The location can't be beat.
room that was upgraded breakfast happy hour
It was in a good location and the facilities were good with an ample breakfast.
The room was noisy because the windows are old and don't close properly and they open completely with no safety barrier.....which on the 9th floor is worrying. The furnishing felt a little tired and the room smelt of smoke.
Everything! The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the in-hotel library is amazing.
The only disappointment (and it was a minor one) was that we were there on a Sunday night when the restaurant was not open.
Location is excellent, allowing easy pedestrian access to superb 'shopping' and restaurants-especially the Italian, literally next door.
Unfortunately, there is no Porterage ,and regrettably not all of the Concierges reached Alan's high standards.
Excellent service and business room.
After we complained about being in the smallest room ever with the air compressor right next door, they moved us to a larger room (although that also had compressors just below the window). Excellent location though.
Very small rooms. Each room had engine noises making it impossible to sleep. Bathrooms are old and outdated.
Central location near Union Square and transport lines are great. Dinner on the 12th floor was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful
Room was too small for the price and the room we were in had a giant air conditioner machine just outside the window. We kept the shutters and curtains drawn 24/day so we wouldn't have to look at it. Made a rather loud noise all day and all night.
location is excellent nice breakfast quite rooms
slight dim room no refrigerator
The hotel has a decor and atmosphere never seen in our travels. The proximity to everything was a plus. The front desk staff was kind and very accommodating. The restaurant had priceless views, but the staff was not always friendly.
The most interesting hotel ever! Every nook and cranny is filled with history of the corp. it's a national treasure.
Clean and tidy. location is good.
Comparing the facility its very expensive. Reception was always busy on phones. Requested 2 pm check in while booking and when visited rooms were not ready and asked me to come back at 4pm which is their official check in time. No view to our room and rooms are small. Not worth for the money you pay. queue for breakfast.
Big room with good facility.
Some guys in self-service dining room. They should be fired.
Noise coming from interconnecting door plus the chime of the lift.
Location was a short walk from BART station, Union Square, Chinatown, Walgreen's and Trolley Stop. Beautiful view, Happy Hour and great breakfast on the 12th floor restaurant.
