Very helpful staff,Very good Food and super free cocktails/drinks in the afternoon.Great location off Union square.
Double bed TOO small.
Close to transit system. Great tradition good food and happy hour.
Very noise from the street slow elevators noise A/C
The included breakfast is fantastic.
The maid service needs work. The bathroom was dirty and had soap with hair on it from the previous guest. The best was very uncomfortable. The price was INSANE the week I checked in and I do not feel it should cost similar to top notch hotels in San Francisco.
Location Happy hour
Dreary decor Some staff lovely others quite dismissive
The staff was friendly, the rooms, although on the smaller side, were very clean, comfortable, quiet and nicely appointed with amenities such as a Keurig coffee maker, fridge, etc. I definitely enjoyed my stay and would recommend it! :)
The one thing I would have appreciated would have been a complimentary bottle of water... That would have been very thoughtful after a day of sightseeing.
Location. Comfortable and clean rooms. Welcoming and helpful staff like Troy. Those omelettes.
Polite, helpful staff in this well appointed hotel contributed to a very comfortable night's stay. The included cocktail & breakfast offering on the 12th floor with a view of San Francisco added both pleasure & value. The halls were filled with interesting military history, honoring our heroes.
1. Ideal location for tourists. 2. Use of a gym within the building. 3. By and large an efficient service provided by staff especially the maids who clean the rooms. 4. Helpful front desk staff. 5. Very good choices in the breakfast menu. Loved the omelette option.
1. No direct access to the gym…cut off by management presumably. 2. Some of the waiters at breakfast were somewhat presumptuous about receiving tips when the quality and efficiency of service was found wanting at times. 3. Quality of the coffee in the restaurant in need of improvement.
Easy checking and check out Plenty Amenities
Breakfast! Excellent fresh fruit and made in the moment omelets. My thanks to the omelets chef. Some of the stories about military men displayed were very moving. Loved the detail of having books to read in the bedroom. Complimentary use of laundry machines and necessary products.
Expensive parking (but it's common in San Francisco and it was not the most expensive) Windows in the room weren't totally clean and limited our enjoyment of the skyline view (which was quite nice).
Location was good. Room was a good size. Bathroom small
Overpriced for non-members
This is not a chain hotel and therefore a great place to stay if you want something a bit different .
Happy hour was a lovely touch. Location couldn't have been better.
Very noisy at night
Great staff, fantastic breakfast. Good location. Good price relative to rest if the city (conferences on) but not good enough given lack of maintenance.
Lots of ambient noise. Air conditioner pump knocked every few minutes whether on or not. Wifi patchy and unreliable.
Location and staff
This place is central and close to almost everyhing and if not the tram stops outside and will probably take you there. The breakfast is lovely and the free happy drinks are wonderful
Nothing - a little dates
Nice location, very helpful staff, nice breakfast
Not very clean, expensive
Breakfast buffet, cocktail hour, location, museum atmosphere and much more.
Nothing we didn't like.
Free happy hour Inclusive breakfast
Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful reception staff, very interesting and unique building with all the Marines memorabilia.
Bar staff not very friendly.
Free happy hour and a great breakfast. The location can't be beat.
room that was upgraded breakfast happy hour
It was in a good location and the facilities were good with an ample breakfast.
The room was noisy because the windows are old and don't close properly and they open completely with no safety barrier.....which on the 9th floor is worrying. The furnishing felt a little tired and the room smelt of smoke.
Everything! The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the in-hotel library is amazing.
The only disappointment (and it was a minor one) was that we were there on a Sunday night when the restaurant was not open.
Location is excellent, allowing easy pedestrian access to superb 'shopping' and restaurants-especially the Italian, literally next door.
Unfortunately, there is no Porterage ,and regrettably not all of the Concierges reached Alan's high standards.
