Good location, most places within walking distance.
Spacious room Good shower Large closet Robes in room
No Kleenex in room! Noisy from street below
I thought the room and the beds were small fir 3 people. The closet / hall in the room had no lighting. The street was quite noisy.
the position of hotelclose to union square and trams to fishermans wharf
when we booked we were not made aware of the homeless shelter and the continuos smell of urine along the side walks outside the hotel
Liked the lay out of the receptionist desk and room decor.
The parking was poor had to call 15 to 30 min for car to go out and same for incoming car parking. Plus had to pay tax for parking. No good.
Location Nice design
Elevator Small and a little uncomfortable bathroom
Location, newly refurbished, good taste decoration, tea/coffee in the room is a plus
A bit overpriced
Location very good and staff friendly.
Rooms very basic.
Nice place but there is only the People there are very helpfull and the location is awosume
one elevator and you can wait for more then 15 min antil you can go down The walls are so thin you can hear every noise from the rooms next to you
It was not priced right for the inconvinience of construction goning on and no breakfast, nothing to offer. Dark, shabby lobby. 1-st impression was like, OMG why did I book this hotel of all.
Specially the location, also the staff is very nice to the clients
I didnt like the fact that it was too much money for what it included.
The bed was comfy, the staff was nice
Located on a busy street with load people and cars. People were yelling on the street till about 3 in the morning. I was on the 7th floor and it sounded like I was on the first. No microwave or mini fridge.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable.
Water from faucet and shower head had hot water spurts quite often, which burned me. There is no thermostat to control the temperature. They were installing furniture while I was there, which tied up the elevators quite a bit.
the room was a bit small nut really nothing too much.
Unfortunately I did not get the gentlemans name when we check in but to my opinion he gave an ambiance to your hotel as classy. He was very courtious, friendly, and he dressed very professionally that I thought made the hotel classier to my opinion.
Nothing but if I had to maybe the elevator but we loved the stairs so it was not a big deal
Proximity to the Union Square, Financial District, shopping, good restaurants two blocks up from the hotel, metro just three blocks from hotel. The staff was very kind helpful, recommending us restaurants, sightseeing, giving us tips about safety. Free and fast wifi was a great bonus.
The windows were not that soundproof but we were worn out from all the activities that it was not such a huge problem. The area south from hotel got slightly dodgy at late night, SFO has problems with poverty and unemployment but we had been warned beforehand by staff to avoid going there.
Clean, perfect localization, frendly staff
Room was very noisy due to heavy traffic on Taylor Street even at night.
Nice staff. Room size larger than average for SF.
Poor ventilation in room. My room faced an alley and I heard yelling from it all night. Room furnishings are Spartan to say the least. Soft bed. Bathroom plumbing didn't work properly. No desk in room. Area surrounding the hotel is, well, questionable. Price point not good for value received.
a bed and Tv was all that was in the room. For 219.46 taxes added you should get at least one chair
Location was not good. No facilities in hotel for extra aminities. Charged for everything. No refrigerator, no chairs, bathroom too small for two people. Need safety bar in tub.
Good location and decoration inside, friendly receptionist. Everything is good.
The location of the Mark Twain is extremely close to Union Square (about 5 mins walk) and near enough to some nice cafes, there's a particularly good breakfast place next door. The facilities are also quite good, with comfortable bed, good shower/bath and TV. The concierge at the desk was particularly excellent (a tall blonde man who I think was called Alexander) being both very friendly and recommending some great spots and a general overview of the city. He provided a map on the morning we started exploring and highlighted the key sights, which really help make our time there as good as possible.
The hotel is currently under refurbishment and while it's quite stylish it's certainly in need of it. We were in a room overlooking the street and the windows were quite thin, leading to an issue with noise disturbance throughout the night. This can be solved fairly easily with earplugs however it was an issue on the first night. Also the hair dryer in the room was fairly weak which caused us a slight delay. Nothing major but something that would have been preferably avoided.
Location, coffee shop next door, quiet, big room.
Small elevator, old bathroom, noisy heater
Was attending a 3 day conference at the Hilton Union Square, so very handy location to that. Just had to cross the road.
A small fridge would have been good to have in the room.
