location Arriving from France on dec the first at the end of the day, I was given a narrow room, with no heating, no hot water, and inoperative shower nor tv set. Complaining early in the morning after, I was given another room. The tenant refused to recognize the first night room did not fit with the booking, and denied any compensation. I think this is a too frequent hotel embezzlement too often experienced in other places, and must not be accepted by Booking.com |

I loved the location in Manhattan. The staff was very nice and helped us when we needed it. No hot water 2 mornings. dark, narrow halls. Very small rooms. Room too hot. TV didn't have a good picture at all. |

The room was clean. The shower was big. The hotel staff was great. There was a metro station just near the hotel. It was just a bit far away from midtown and downtown but honestly with the metro you are pretty much quickly everywhere. |

The building is very old and there is no elevator. I was in the last floor and had to carry my hay bag upstairs. Although it's very very close to a metro station you need to prepare yourself to be all the day out and just come back to sleep. It's not worthy to come back to the hotel and then go downtown again. |

The location was convenient. There is no elevator. It was difficult carrying my luggage up all the stairs. The TV did not have a clear picture, only offered 4 channels, and the remote didn't work. We barely had warm water for our showers. The check out process was a hassle. I will not be returning. |

It was basically somewhere to sleep. We left the hotel at 8am and did not return until 12pm. The staff/porter were just about right for the price we paid and if you have problems with stairs I do not recommend staying in this hotel. No lift and not very helpful porters. But good price for a room and it was clean. |

Friendly staff, good shower, comfortable bed, clean room Poor glazing/air con fitting so room extremely noisy from outside noise. Found it very difficult to sleep. Hallways were dirty and in poor repair and we were on the 5th floor with no lift and lots of bags. We thought that for the price that there should be a lift and also a little more care in the finish of the hotel. In London this hotel would be considered 1 or 2 star and would have been half the price. |

The wi fi was very good and the furnishings were also good The hotels central heating was too hot every nigh. You should be able to control room temperature yourself, not have it come on. |

The hotel is very well located. I would never stay at this hotel nor would I recommend it. The shower was either freezing or broiling. The room was very cold; the heat did not work much of the time. The desk staff was mostly unhelpful and the computers did not work well. The room was barely adequate and not very clean. Very expensive for a very poor quality hotel. |

The staff was incredibly helpful and understanding to needs of guests. I also loved all the ethnic restaurants in the area especially Mama Mexico! I didnt like that I was unaware of the multiple flights i would have to carry my bags up since there is no elevator. The staff of course was very understanding and did offer assistance. |

Hotel Marrakech is a great low-budget alternative to the higher priced NYC hotels. Our room was clean and comfortable. The website pictures make it look a little more exotic and interesting than it really is. But if you want a clean, comfortable, affordable place to sleep while you venture out to different sites, this hotel is perfect. The Moroccan theme in the bar is fun, but it would be better if Moroccan music were played instead of top ten music. Also, the rooms could be spruced up inexpensively with a little more artwork. |

It was close to the subway and places we had to visit. We could eat very fast nearby. There was no elevator which we did not know prior to the trip. It has very dark narrow corridors, the only window in the room faced a solid brick wall appr. 5' away. |
