Noice from next room showering in middle of night
Main entrance with steep stairs no good for older people
room and en suite v clean and tidied daily, v comfortable bed, staff all friendly and helpful. near subway station and area felt safe for me as a solo female. great local shops around hotel.
no lift, which I knew beforehand but after a long day walking, it was long climb to my room on the 4th floor! not for the unfit. would b nice to have basic continental breakfast on offer in bar in mornings?
Noisy Hotel Room
No elevator and our two rooms were not ready at 3 pm check in time.
Beds and clean Location
Bathroon, too small Noisy water flushes
The localization about 50 m from the subway station (red line), the kindness of the staff.
No lift but it's clearly not a big deal because the staff helps you before you ask.
Close to the Subway. Good Location
No elevator and it is too small
The staffs are good and the location is very good and it is close to the subway and buses stops.
The rooms are small and barely can move.
Room not as expected, too small no 2 beds as booked but one small queen, no deluxe as requested, very noisy....no ac, no elevator....
Subway stop right outside the door. A little further uptown but so easy to get to.
Would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room...or even in lobby
I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was so helpful and nice. Your right in front of the subway and lots of good food.
No elevator. This is evidently a common thing in new york though.
The neighborhood is hip and not very crowded. Very close to the subway. Great restaurants and other amenities close by. Like Amsterdam, you need to walk up steps, which I don't mind at all. If you need a lift, don't stay at this hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. No luxurious amenities here, no pool, but for my daughter and me, it was awesome.
You can hear people walking above when they really stamp around. Getting a top floor room would take care of that. You can also hear the water when they take a shower.
Location, right next to subway
No elevator, super tiny room, carpet everywhere, noisy AC
wifi location staff
had to ask to change bed sheets after 4 days. bed was uncomfortable as i was sharing no lift
I am amazed by the quality of sleep that I had during the stay. Very good set of pillows. The hotel staff are very helpfull, and helped us a lot in terms of planning our trip while in New York to suit our budget. Close to shops, markets, restaurants and most importantly metro station is only few steps away. I would return to this hotel and recommend to anyone.
No coffee machine available in the room.
very nice people, metro right there
no elevator i was booked in 5th floor with 3 bags going all the way on stairs staff not friendly at all the room is bad quality bathroom very very small
Loved staying at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Felt very comfortable and safe staying here. Great location. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting New York.
The staff at Hotel Marrakech was so friendly and very helpful, especially the doormen---always smiling! The location was very convenient for transport throughout the city and also had plenty of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. There are no elevators, which did not bother us in the least but if you are traveling with someone with mobility problems this may not be a good choice for you. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Marrakech
The only drawbacks to this hotel were that our TV was fuzzy and the AC did not work super well. Also, the beds were fine, but not exceedingly comfortable.
This hotel is a unique experience! It all starts with the stairs up to the lobby and the music which give you the impression that you're entering a night club :-) all staff is highly motivated and always smiling and helpful! The hotel is situated next to Starbuck's Coffee, the next Subway Station is seconds away - therefore highly reccomended for tours downtown on your own!!! Hotel hasn't got an elevator, but the staff helps you with your luggage!
We enjoyed the street view from our windows.. The staff was very accommodating and easy access to subway and good food..will stay there on my next trip to nyc..
Steep stairs with striped carpet made difficult to see with sunglasses...
-the hotel has a lovely interior design including the rooms -it's as close as it can be to a metro station, Starbucks, supermarkets and some bars and restaurants around, good location -the staff are polite, friendly and helpful, whatever u need ask for it and they will help if they can -its walking distance from central park and if you're into swimming a free public pool in the park, take your lock with you for the lockers
-absence of elevators can be a pain when checking in or out, especially if you're on higher floors -although the hotel is fairly clean and the room is made everyday, do not expect your trash to be taken out everyday or anything but your sheets and towels to be tidy after you come back to the room. -
