The room with a view was great. The bed was comforable, clean, and the hotel was quiet.

The closet was awkward with the bathroom door-not a big deal though.

i really like the location and the size and layout of the hotel. you feel like home there, although it's massive

the rooms are not big, so that's the only compromise

39 lounge bar. Great views before the fog rolled in.

Very disappointed we didn't have our room cleaned or receive new towels for a day.

The location is very good! Near union square, shopping mall, restaurants, rail cars, etc! Really recommend! We got the city view king room and it was great. The panoramic view bar is overwhelming. Breakfast buffet is huge and has everything a tourist would like to eat... The bed was really really really big and comfortable.

Parking the car in the hotel is really expensive!!! $60USD/day hit my budget directly in the nose.

Nice personnel at the reception and the view from the 36th floor :)

My sister and i have just returned home from our trip. The welcome we received from the Marquis staff was amazing...we needed to ask some questions about an extra bed and we were greeted with helpfilness and promot service. Every member of staff smiled all the time and helped us whenever needed. It could not have been better!

Amazing view from our room. You couldn't ask for a better location either.

The tub clogged up a couple times but I'm confident that it was a random mishap.

Maid came at inconvenient times to clean room; we were back in the room during a downpour outside and she came to clean at that time.

The place has a very nostalgic style to it. The bar on the 39th floor has an incredible atmosphere.

The room was a little simplistic, wi-fi was not free, and after I decided to pay for it, I could not connect my iPad. Some features of the hotel could be updated to accomodate more modern comforts.

It was a very nice Marriott with plenty of amenities. The View atop the 39th floor was awesome, although it does get very crowded. The staff were all very friendly and hotel was very clean. All in all a great experience while we were in San Francisco. We would definitely return to this hotel.

The location of the Hotel was just perfect and made it easier for us to move around and enjoy our time in San Francisco! Staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel was very clean.

The location was perfect for shopping or visiting the museums in the soma district.

The bed was too soft. Charged extra for rollaway for small child.

Seems like a cheapskate maneuver not to have wi-fi free. Even Starbuck's has it, and so did the hotel we stayed at in Monterey last night.

The staff was excellent! Really helpful, our room was clean and comfortable!

The valet parking was a bit expensive $60 a day. The staff had no problem suggesting the public parking at half the price, Walking distance!

The lobby and lounges were nice, open spaces with good energy. The staff was attentive and the location was great. Close to Market Street and a BART station.

We made reservation on booking one for 2 rooms under one name they only give one. They said they can only find one. Parking is nightmare. Overnight parking charge $60!!!

Excellent bar on 39th floor, staff wonderful and fantastic location! We had an amazing stay here with a fantasy city view room! Ask for a room on floors 23 and above!

The quality of hotel and location was great. The room was great, the view nice, as I was on the 19th floor. The desk staff were very informative and helpful with whatever I needed.

Prices were inflated, in an already expensive city. They overcharged for food and drink, and took forever to get it to us. Asked server to come to our table to take our drinks orders 4 times, which is ridiculous. Then had to ask twice every time we wanted more drinks. Total failure on the serving front. Went to bar across the street when got totally frustrated and we had service and it wasn't anywhere near as stupidly priced as the hotel.
