Look no further for the perfect Hawaiian vacation. Marriott Ko Olina delivers in accommodations, customer service and facilities. Our three kids ages 4, 8 and 11 were so busy with resort activities and getting to know the amazing Keiki club staff that if Hawaii wasn't an amazing enough trip, the Marriott topped it off. During our 2 week stay we encountered minimal issues (i.e. wifi issues) and those were followed up appropriately, including a complimentary gift basket for our troubles. Each and every staff makes an effort to say "Aloha" to you when they pass you, and vacationers are treated like royalty. Amazing on-site activities meant that we didn't need to leave the resort very much, and the complimentary Ko Olina shuttle makes it easy to have an hour or two away at other local resorts and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to families who want the convenience of a condo with all the amenities of an all-inclusive!
The tranquil surrounds with all the attractions of Hawaii close at hand. The staff and facilities were first class and the assistance was willingly given in arranging trips.
Traffic conditions driving to and from Honolulu vary widely and this can lead to some tedious moments stuck in traffic congestion.
The lobby was fantastic, and the private beach. A textbook tropical beach resort!
Wifi signal was so weak in room that you can only get accessed in a specific Coner
We stayed at the 2 bedroom villa with ocean view and it accommodated perfectly 6 adults - me and my husband, his parents, and my parents :) The beds are comfortable and surprisingly the pull out bed in the living room is the most comfortable futon I've ever slept in. Staffs are super friendly and nice, and the resort itself has a lot to see and activities to do. Definitely coming back again for some alone time with just my hubby
When I first booked Villa i thought it would be a single house...but it turned out to be a 2 bedroom suite (they just call it villa) But that's pretty much it!
Beach, pool and walks, friendy staff
my pillow was a bit too soft so a memory foam option would have been good.
Wifi wasn't working
everything nothing was awful!
Staff was super friendly and helpful
Resort feeling... away form other hotel
Resort was lovely, right on the beach with nice pools and facilities. Rooms were great with loads of space, kitchen facilities and very quiet.
Asked for an early check in after arriving on an overnight flight but couldn't check in till 4pm so wasted most of the first day. Location is a bit away from everything,
From the moment we arrived we felt like VIP guests. The view from our room was outstanding not to mention magical. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Resort had lots of free activities for all age groups. Free shuttle was handy too.
Having to leave...
The apartment itself was very comfortable and clean.
There were several things I did not like about our stay in the Ko Olina Beach Club. To begin with, I found it hard to understand why the accommodation we rented would be called a 'villa' when it was in fact a 2 bedroom apartment in a big hotel/apartment building. When we arrived the rooms were not ready so instead of checking in at 4 pm (as advertised) we had to wait for almost 2 hours before we could get into the apartment. We booked an 'ocean view villa', but when we looked out of our window on the 6th floor, all we could see was another hotel building and a tree. When complaining about that, we were told that there was nothing that could be done about it. Nonetheless we were charged the full ocean-view rate, the reason given was that we could still see the ocean when hanging out of the balcony looking to the right! Not very professional in my opinion! Another problem were the waiting times for one of the restaurants, which - on our first night - would have been 2 hours. Prior reservation was not possible. So for us the accommodation did not turn out to be a stay in paradise.
Well it is a Marriott's hotel chain, so cleanness, comfort, and staff are excellent.
For a person who likes just staying at a resort the entire vacation period and does not explore the surrounding area too much, Marriott's Ko Olina is a perfect choice. But for a person who likes to explore outside of the resort area, the location is inconvenient. The shuttle service from the hotel only serves within the resort. It is not easy to go to the nearest local grocery store or shopping center (I had to rent a car). For going to Honolulu/Waikiki, I had to use a shuttle service from a 3rd party company and had to change shuttle at the airport.
We enjoyed the pools & beach and spent most of our time there. We made our own meals to help cut down cost. We used the gym daily. We liked that there are markets,Target & Costco close by.
Everything is expensive there so you really have to plan well. It cost $30 @ day to park. We opted rent 1 car and if needed we can rent by the day, there is an Enterprise Car Rental on the property.
The location of this resort in Ko'Olina gives you a true experience of this Hawaiian Island. Totally a laid back atmosphere without all of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Definitely a relaxing place to vacation with top class facilities and staff...
Pool and spas close at 10:00 PM which is a little too early for a family with children on vacation.
Really relaxing environment. Could work at whatever pace we wanted to. When we left our passports in the safe on departure the staff were incredibly conscientious about getting them rapidly delivered to our next destination.
A slightly earlier room availability on check in would have been nice.
Staffs are very friendly starting from the receptionists and all staffs are very friendly and always greeting visitors with a warm Aloha.
Vent in kitchen was too low to stove top. Tub was obviously very worn.
The lagoons were excellent because it gave you ocean access safely without looking for a beach. The ease of getting to the pools was also good.
I had to leave at the end of my stay
Cleanliness, manicured grounds, very well organized checking in and out, availability of showers and lockers for those who need to stay a bit longer after checking out, pleasant staff, plenty of beach towels, well-kept surroundings and approach road.
Poorly located garbage processing area resulting in loud noise for many, if not all units (they do refrain from starting too early, though); tiny balconies for studio units; limited shade around pools and on the beach for so many guests; excessive prices for food of normal quality in the two restaurants and the convenience shop
The location and he scenery
Resturant choices are limited and house keeping
Everything, in our twelve years of living in Hawaii, we have done mini-stay vacations all over the islands, have stayed at many luxurious resorts but who knew that practically in our own back yard was the best place to stay not only for value but the accommodations, location, restaurants, staff and amenities!
There was nothing we didn't like!
I loved the hotel and location. I would come back for sure.
The size of the room is small and the bathrooms are too.
Family friendly option for kids with different pools etc
Pretty built up area. Would not suit someone who is looking for something more "remote"
Mostly, we truly appreciated that you considered our family visit and booked our son, wife and children in adjoining room with interior access. Additionally, we were pleased at the amenities included in the 'full' kitchen in each room.
We didn't like leaving!
