Very friendly staff. We were given an upgrade for the same price whe we showed up with an extra person. Plus, they changed the room to a quieter side of the hotel when the music outside got too loud.
Pool was under construction. Music festival outside was blazing loud.
Location on 17th and closeness to the beach. Large room on the 8th floor overlooking the ocean. Nice & large shower cubicle.
Very noisy air-conditioning No ventilation in the bathroom No fridge in room Part of the pool area closed for refurbishing so had to walk out of the hotel to reach the beach. One of the bar attendant was unpleasant during Happy Hour when I asked for more tonic water in my gin and asked me for another tip Tired carpets Bathroom toilet was not clean. Tiles not properly grouted. Shower head plate out of place & I fixed it.
room was clean and a good size
no hot water in bath sink no air vent in bath area windows in very poor condition could not open . at 3:30 am neighbor made very loud noise door slaming shouting. called for security at 4:30am never came noise untill 5:50 management gave me a $ 10.00 refund for my trouble......
We asked to be moved and the staff was very accommodating.
The noise on the street side rooms. Pool was also not open and no one told us.
Less than 24 hours before arrival, I received an email saying that the pool "may" be closed because they "may" require a city permit for some construction. Upon arrival, we discovered that the pool area clearly has been under construction for a while. This meant not only that there was no pool access, there was also no direct access to the beach - which was the ONLY reason why we paid that much money to stay there. (The email said nothing about the lack of direct access to the beach. We could have easily paid for another room across the street for much less.) Their email also said that we would be receiving free beach chairs and umbrellas, except they did not mention that it was already included in the resort fee that was already charged to my credit card. When we asked that the resort fee be waived, they gave us a hard time about it. They finally agreed to it, but the refund has yet to show up on my credit card, and I highly doubt they will refund me without me calling them out on it. The staff was shockingly rude from start to finish, acting like we were crazy for being upset about the lack of direct beach access - something that they prominently advertise. They did not understand that a little bit of hospitality would have gone a long way. I strongly advise anyone from staying there.
The bed is comfortable and large.
We booked a seaview room with extra price. The room is on the end of the corridor, near some kind of machine rooms which make constant noise 24 hrs p. Day. From the window we got the noise from the ventilation of the next building. The front desk staff were unhelpful and cold, totally refused our request for another room, so we tried to stay away from the room as much as possible. After a night with restless sleep due to the constant noise from the door and the not- sound proof window, I had headachs each morning. The window can't be open, and it is dirty, so the seaview we paid extra for was not much worth it at all! The so called "resort fee" is over charged for the service: the beach towel look like 20 years old, when we came to the beach, the staff there were only interested in collecting the ticket, they were not friendly, nor helpful.
the pool service
old structures in the building and a lot of noise from the outside . The hotel is not made to give you rest
The location is priceless, close to Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive. Infrastructure and service at the beach.
No valet service, space for parkinf in front oh the hotel . Access to the beach is not ready.
i loved my room. It was just the perfect size for me and my friends and the hotel was super close to everything we needed!
When I got to the hotel the room I had ordered was apparently sold out, but that is not what I was informed on booking.com. The staff at the desk made me feel very comfortable and was able to work around my situation, but the phone rep was very nasty about the situation and had very poor customer service skills. It upset me that she caught an attitude with me because I wasn't happy about my room. That's not my fault that she couldn't correct her problem.
The location was okay, the "party" of south beach mostly takes place around 10th street and lower, so we walked quite a bit. We ended up getting upgraded from a 2-full bedroom to a 3-full bedroom (not a suite), for free, without asking! And the 3rd bed was sectioned off with its own door and Tv which was awesome because I was the only girl with my group of guy friends! The room was clean. They have upgraded the bed rooms so don't base your decision to stay here off of the old pics on Trip Advisor. Also, the pool is open now. All in all its a huge step up from the hole in the wall, dirty, boutique hotels that are all over south beach. Definitely worth the money, but could be a little cheaper. I'd stay here again.
The shower head needs to be changed I could see the mold and residue from the holes. I think that or the soap they provided caused me to break out. They need to rethink their ventilation system in the rooms. Just imagine 4 people in a room, 80+ degrees outside, 1 vent in the room and no opening windows. Plus the materials the windows were made out of seemed to generate more heat than usual. I think I woke up with a stuffy nose every day. We had to keep the a/c on all day just so it could feel normal
Location was good. Erick Veizege, the Pool boy, was the high light of our stay. He was awesome. Attentive, respectful and helpful.
We paid a lot of money for a beach front hotel. There was no access to the beach from the hotel due to construction. No one in the hotel mentioned it at all including booking .com.
The swimming pool area and the pool attendant very friendly and helped us with several qustions about the area. His name was Eric I say this because there were two. There was a young man in the reasturant that was very nice.
I thought the hotel was very tatty and needed upgrading. The domestic staff were indiferent to guests and never spoke at all. never smiled at all. I have never been in a holiday resort hotel where the housekeeping staff were so rude. we had to wait until 4.15 pm to go to our room despite having booked a deluxe room for 5 days well in advance. We arrived early due to having been on a cruise. It was appalling. They advertised a free cocktail hour although the barmaid was very nice the cocktails were awful and not worth the dollar tip pd. only went once. Our room was not serviced some days until 4.30pm. I asked for tea bags in the room as my husband and I do not drink coffee, I was told by the reception staff that I would have to go and buy my own!!!!! I asked for skimmed milk in the rasturant and told they did not have it.!!! so I went and bought my own. We have travelled all over USA over the past 30 yrs and never had such bad service even in motels....
Facilities, access to the beach closed
Location on the beach is best block of South Beach at the best value. Front desk and bell staff were excellent. Food delivery at the pool was very good and reasonably priced. Room was good size with comfortable beds..
The pool area is still under construction which requires walking down the block for public beach access which we did not do. The current pool is open and plesant. They are building a second adults only pool with cabanas and tiki bar over next 3-4 months. We had to log into wifi every 5 mins both in room and in pool area/beach front. The bathroom was quite small
great location, terrific happy hour, friendly-helpful staff-pool area terrific!
Pool not completed
Staff were all great. Desk, pool, front desk, bar tender all great people. View was nice. Clean everywhere.
Construction. Although the updates are looking good. Parking.
Hallways and rooms are dirty, while the reception area looks ok!
Happy hours ,excelente promo a USD1, imperdible
Algunos pasajeros bulliciosos hasta,muy tarde
Great staff and location. Could walk, taxi or bus easily.
Shower didn't drain and was not fixed after telling front desk twice. Cool pool. And no easy access to the beach because of pool constructions.
Staff never available to fix broken TV remote (for 3d); Wifi out as well, all 3d, with no acknowledgement to guests; Staff actually believed 'slow' (no) performance was PC related
The unexpected $150 deposit.
