Bedding - including pillows made it easy to get good sleep Privacy
Needed to ask first three days for drinking glasses in the room Not that helpful at checkout
good location good staff big bathroom
payment rate per package for receiving merchandise average breakfast (small and limited portions, not very varied) no fridge in the room
Great hotel in excellent location. Staff very helpful. Restaurant serves delicious food. Really enjoyed our stay at Martha Washington.
Noisy air conditioning
I liked the black, white and grey color scheme, the amusing silhouettes above the bed, the ultra-comfy bed across from the wall-mounted TV, the illuminated bathroom mirror frame, the black armoir, the clean and simple furniture. The staff was friendly and efficient.
I never like heat that comes through vents. I also did not like the perfume scent in the hallway and elevator.
Location and safe. Great staff
Location location location! The hotel's history was a plus too!
Rooms clean and modern. Kept waiting for hour and a half for our room but upgraded - the bellman was brilliant. Their best staff member. Hotel being refurbished now, they might brighten it up a bit!
The 'Marta' restaurant. - Breakfast very average - this was offered in the price which we have used with other hotels and found superb. This however, was not. Very slow service. Some staff charming. Others not so.
Great location, very cool, appealing reception/breakfast/restaurant bar areas, helpful staff, comfy bed, clean, nicely decorated room.
My only complaint - there wasn't enough light in the room - it was hard to find stuff in my case in the evening!
Excellent public restaurant, excellent location, Wi-fi, pleasant staff, responsive bell boys (I think the name was Joseph). Our room was very clean, sheets and towels changed regularly, and hotel itself has some wonderful scent in hallways and in elevator. It is very, very conveniently located. Room was on 12th floor, no noise at all.
Forget about the heating - it is very loud and you can not leave it on during the night or no sleep at all. We opt for colder option. Room was really small (standard queen), you do not have extra space at all for moving or you luggage. Bathroom / lavatory is so tiny that you can barely wash your hands, let alone to wash your face, brush your teeth or blow your nose - all this you need to do under the shower.
It is quite convenient to enjoy Nyc main attractions. Plenty of diffrent kind of restaurants nearby. Will come back. Concierge people very attentive to customers needs
I would like to have breakfast offered in my rate(even if it increases a bit)
The localization The interior design of the lobby The restaurant
The poor quality of the rooms The noise in all the 3 different rooms we had (street & Air conditionner) The included breakfast is good but too small for people in vacation.. perhaps, if you're working it could be sufficient..
The staff was marvelous and extremely courteous. When my husband had trouble with hailing us a taxi to go see a Broadway play, one of the staff members went out of his way to get us the cab... This may seem minute too some, but being in a city where the majority of people act like entitled a@& holes it meant the world to us.
Good breakfast and nice bar. Free WIFI.
The hotel room with 2 beds was booked for 8 days. As we arrived we understood we can’t stay there, the room was so small that my friend felt immediately bad. We asked to change to suite, unfortunately this was booked out. We have got the other room, which was bigger but only with one big bed. The temperature in the room was around 10 degrees!!! We had to sleep in the jeans and pullovers. The next morning I was totally sick, this is how our trip started… thanks God, the next day we moved to the other hotel.
-vue from room on the empire state building- -kindness of the staff(reception.concierge) -emplacement of the hotel, very cetral and easy to access dinner food at the restaurant delicious
-no fridge in the room -heatingin the room goes through the air condition,so very noizy.... -breakfast menu is not very varied, and most of the things were sold out by 0900 am...but i had dinner at the restaurant and the food was amazing....
vivid lobby with pizzeria very quiet room good service
the gym is too small
New updates and new renovations were nice!
I didn't like how I was treated by management (Jon or John to be specific) had a error with my booking; had multiple renovations for 1 day - when all I needed was 1. Someone like myself who has been at this location more then 100xs in the past 3 years; a loyal respected guest- I have never thought I would be treated so horrible by someone. This gentleman said it was too late to cancel the other reservations; that I would need to pay for all reservations- which I did not need! If I did not pay he would refuse my stay and all stays in the near future. I was shocked! Especially knowing I have been a loyal customer to them for years- he did not want to help me in anyway; showed poor customer service! I will not come back or recommend this place to anyone! I took myself across the street to the best on the block called Gansevoort Hotel
Location Top of world staff! Great food, both breakfast and dinner had so much to offer!
Soft beds. Although the staff helped out a lot by hardening up the bed for me, huge improvement in sleep!
The room was as big as a closet and the sink in the bathroom so narrow that it was useless even to brush your teeth
Got awesome rate for a pre-Xmas stay. Quiet, private, clean & modern!! Courteous helpful staff, incredible concierge for local picks - things to do - places to see. Attentive daily housekeeping, great central location for walking in all directions - would book & stay again in a heartbeat!
A nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff
Great staff! Very clean, and felt homely.
The kitchen stoves were being cleaned so I missed out on the restaurant.
