This was the comfiest bed that I found in New York. I didn't want to leave it. Price was good for NY. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good cocktails in the lobby bar. Try the Aged Negroni.
Location main entrance
Main entrance is deceiving as the hallways are filthy we could hear everything in the rooms adjacent to ours the mattress sinks in the middle the quality of sleep between the noise and the mattress was unacceptable parking lot was not near by and there was no valet
brekfast, bar, place
very small bathroom, noise from the road
Great location, lively lobby area with restaurant and bar.
Noisy construction outside window at night.
Impressive ground floor lobby. Friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable bed, modern well appointed bathroom.
Nothing negative to say.
cleaniness, location, atmosphere, my third time in New York and third time in this hotel, huge improvement on facilities since my last stay in 2011 when still trading as Lola
From the moment I arrived the staff was courteous and attentive. The room was excellent. I have no complaints.
Location is very good
Internet was slow.
Breakfirst fantastic Friendly and helpful personal
Room reasonably quiet for NYC. Good quality towels/bedding (apparently not in all rooms, so I was lucky). Very helpful concierge and door staff. The Marta restaurant is excellent as is the breakfast choices - nice not to see the ubiquitous breakfast buffet for once.
Being greeted with the words: We're so busy we gave your room away earlier today! Not being offered a drink whilst waiting for reception to sort out said room. Rooms too small. Wardrobe ridiculously small (but perfectly formed!) No bathrobes. No tea/coffee making facilities.
Staff, service, room quality,
I like the location... and the hospitality
The room was small...no coffee serves in the rooms
The bett and pillows very good The wire less connection
The restaurant The support to get a transfer to the airport The personal, you miss a kind of commitment
What a comfortable bed!
Rooms can be soundproofed. There were renovations during our stay so we could not enjoy the hotel to its full - wish we were notified of this upon booking (there was only a note about using an alternate entrance upon arrival). Complimentary tea and coffee in the room would be great.
Very unfriendly staff at the reception. The reception itself I'd difficult to find, have to go by very noise restaurant to get to the actual reception without any indications or labels. Did not inform about wifi at first, did not say a word about breakfast availability, there is no tea or coffee available either in the hotel. The room was very small and the is not a single place to put your purse when you come in. Did not like anything about this hotel
I liked the central location of the hotel but ive never come accross a hotel so expensive for food and drinks what a turn off!!$20 for a cocktail and $10 for a small local beer.had a drink on the first night and that was it,refused to even have a coffee there after that
Read the above and also street noise it was as if the window was wide open very annoying when you are tired from sight seeing all day
The size of the room was nice. Location was good. Facility seemed clean.
There was no mirror in the room, except for a small mirror in the bathroom. We were a group of four women, trying to get ready for the night in one tiny mirror! Hotel staff was not helpful in the matter. We called the desk, they said they would call us back and never did. I had to go down to the desk and ask again. They said they would send someone up to "look at the room". The guy they sent up was a total joke and didn't understand our concern. Instead he tried flirting with us. Totally disgusting, and didn't help us at all. $400 per night, and no mirror in the room itself. Room service menu not in room. When we called the desk, they said it was in our nightstand. When we tried to explain that it wasn't, they hung up on us. Tried calling for extra glasses and line was consistently busy. On top of everything, it was my friends birthday and I requested for something simple- could have just been a plain card that said Happy Birthday, to be in the room when we arrived. There was nothing. Overall completely disappointed; I wish we had stayed somewhere else.
smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. should have been a single and still would have been small. Restaurant takes up a substantial part of the entry and is open to it. Quite noisy. And since the lobby is still under construction, there was no place to sit.
clean and renovated
no mini refrigerator in the room
Staff very helpful and kind Perfect location, close to 5th ave
