the windows in the bathroom should have curtains. although being reassured that no one can look in it is quite weird to be able to look outside. the room was so small that either us or the luggage could fit in. we had to put one of the suitcases in the bathroom on the ledge. therefore it is recommended only to a couple with one suitcase
Jorge & Sam were extremely accommodating and helped us out at every turn.
The Marta restaurant and hotel don't seem to work together and are disjointed.
Clean, nice hip hotel in a good, central location in NYC.
The internet basically didn't work unless you paid for it. Kind of lame.
No smoke detector in the room, the floor we stayed on was underconstruction.
Amazing location and staff. Beds were one of the most comfortable I have ever encountered in a hotel. The restaurant Marta was always full, small cocktail lounge at the back was very nice. Staff drove the experience home, extremely helpful and nice.
Got a great rate. The hotel was well located and the lobby was clean and modern. The staff was friendly and the room we were in appeared newly renovated. It was small, but probably not by NYC standards. Plenty big enough for us. Bed was super comfortable. Had pre theatre dinner at Marta's. We were very happy. Would come again
only very minor flaws the internet signal did not seem to hold very well, but we really did not need it. There was a free Wi-Fi for email, etc. and one that you could pay for if you wanted to stream or use for music. The climate control system, which seemed to be forced air was on and off intermittently and did make a blowing background noise. There were minibar items and amenities, but no coffee or tea available in the room
the bed free wifi clean
I booked for a queen room , however was give twin beds instead. Had to ask to change it. There's construction going on at the minute that will not you sleep after 8 am !
The hotel was very nice, staff was helpful and friendly. This hotel has a separate full-time running Italian restaurant. Food was awesome, it was fully booked all the time. I definitely reccommend it.
The room was a little bit dark.
Front desk staff Sam was awesome he gave us an amazing service. I was offered a room on the 6th floor which was super noisy with the horns and drunk ppl around the road. When I informed Sam he immediately changed my room to a higher floor with a better view too. Thanks Sam
Noisy neighbourhood and Resturant down.
No breakfast included, no coffee or tea in the room but expensive food and drinks available in the room. Not very clean.
Central location, good toiletries, comfy bed, helpful security guards and housekeeping maids.
Room was a bit tiny and wasn't sound-proof as I could hear police sirens and people walking in the alleyway. Room didn't have the artworks as opposed to what's being shown in the pics on here. No free bottle of water and everything in the room is priced. A small fridge in the room would be of great use.
Arrived after a long flight, check in was easy, the standard twin room was rather smaller than I expected but cosy, whilst mum and I was there for 6 nights we requested a larger room which was promptly dealt with, we ate in Marta the first night which was pre booked And had the best pizza I've ever had I live in Hongkong and have travelled all over the world the conceige team Rachel, Renee, and Gillian, was the most pleasant and helpful I have ever come across and couldn't do enough for us. In asia the service is of a very high standard and I found this just as equal of which I don't usually find when travelling Through Europe even in five star hotels !!! All of the staff were very polite and couldn't do enough for us a big thankyou to the team at Martha Washington location of the hotel is perfect not to far out and a little bit quieter than staying around the tourist areas but only a 5 to 10 min walk to everything once we masterered the grid system of New York.
Location & price
Staff were bordering on rude & the hotel doesn't look quite finished.
Location very close from main atractions and 15min walk from Times Square, staff very friendly and helpfull, indeed next time I would go to NYC I will look for this hotel again
The hotel looked like good from outside and the bathroom was big and so clean
The rooms are so small and they don't have any chair in the room it is not worth this money i mean they don't deserve this money i paid less amount before and that was better than this hotel
Hotel is in very good location near the 5th Ave and Broadway. It's very clean and there is a nice restaurant downstairs.
The only thing i didn't like was the sink in the bathroom was extremely small, it was very difficult to wash my teeth, too narrow.
- Liked the lobby bar and lounge - Although we arrived early in the morning we checked in without paying any additional charge
Our room was on the 9th floor. Renovation works were underway at the corridor area but nobody mentioned anything when I checked in. I booked my accommodation based on photos posted on the hotel's website but our room didn't look at all like those as there was no artwork or any design accessories and the bathroom was pretty basic. I would definitely have stayed somewhere else if I had known that the room and the corridor would look like that
Lovely Spacious rooms Beautiul, comfortable 'sink into' beds Very welcoming and friendly staff Very clean and comfortable Lovely bathroom with walk in shower
No coffee/tea making facilities in room
I left my expensive charger in the room I called lost and found 45 mins after I checked out to say I would collect it when I checked back in 2 days later. Staff we're very unhelpful and evasive. Charger never found. Housekeeping/Lost and found not very responsible
Location; Hot water; Gym; Free wifi enough for email, web browser and even some on-line video; Better wifi also available for purchase; Helpful staff
No coffee machine or kettle; Room 404 is next to a staff room with some noise
Entrance within a popular, crowded restaurant welcomes u for Newyork:) Perfect location, can walk everywhere in Manhattan. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are very clean.Nowadays floors decoration is changing from a modern look to a romantic style. We would prefer next time again.
Air condition was so much noisy. Bed was so much soft for us.
The staff was welcoming, cheerful and thoughtful. It was the perfect location. And though I wasn't able to get a reservation in the restaurant, I hear it is very good. Maybe next time.
You all could make a gift of at least 1 bottle of water…
The Staff's are amazing. Very helpful. Even helped me carry my bags and called a cab! I thought, The Plaza hotel does this kind of stuff. And inside the Elevator. It smells really good.
Rooms are very small, very small
