staff and efforts to make the stay the best it can be

Lesson learned, call hotel before booking on line to see what their prices actually are. Price seemed high for small loud room. Staff was quite good as well as the restaurant next door. Couldn't get on Wi Fi.
This is a very unique hotel and the art work is outstanding. Tour all the floors.

The room was very small - something you can't see ftom photos. The halls were narrow, low ceiling and painted black and felt a little creepy for a couple of girls traveling alone.
GreatocTion and staff was awesome.

The first room I stayed in was at the day of the floor 3 & I had to move to another room. The garbage was collected at least three times during the night from the next door building was very noisy.
Location of the hotel was excellent. The restaurant adjoining the hotel was fantastic. Overall very nice hotel.

street noise from outside of hotel 1 elevator not working
atmosphere, decorating lp player in room w/records was an amazing touch overall value is very good, i would stay again

Elevator was a bit slow, but I found the stairs around the back, and that helped.
Great room (others complained about size of theirs, but I had a big one); really friendly staff; good WiFi (only one small hiccup); excellent location. $5 discount/day from the minibar if you don't have them make up the room - great idea! Currently my favorite downtown Seattle place.

No shades on the windows so as opposite an office had to pull the black out blinds for privacy. Sound of traffic so bad in normal room - changed to King room which was at the back which was better. Air-con also stupidly noisy. Had to pay for water in the room -would it hurt to give a free one. Coffee maker in room but not sure how you were supposed to make tea with it?!
The wi-fi was fab, lots of USB ports for charging in the room.

My sheets were stained with blood. I approached staff about the observation and I was given a $50 credit to the restaurant and told someone would be up to my room to change them in a few minutes. I was heading out for the day for tours and exploring. I came back 10 hours later and to my surprise, the sheets were not changed. I filed a complaint and the assistant manager told me she would credit me for the first nights stay. Despite the credit, the cleanliness issues would definitely keep me from staying here again.
Great location! The hotel is walking distance to Pacific place mall and Pike Place market. Also, the hotel is conveniently located near the monorail which will take you to the Seattle Center (the area with the Space needle, glass museum, etc.)

The dootman was very nice and warming! We actually talked a lot about the entire city. We shared opions about a lot things in this beautiful city such as restaurants, parks, etc.. And the hotel in a good location in the downtown: guests can basically get to everywhere through public transportation or by walking!

Street noise in the evening and early morning. They have window A/C units and that doesn't help.
You can get close to it by light rail and just walk a short distance to the hotel. They have a happy hour with a craft beer every evening. The themed floors and original art are fascinating.

We spent 3 nights there for our anniversary. Hotel Max was perfect. They reserved us a large corner room and had a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us in the room. What a nice surprise. Perfect location, can easily walk everywhere and close to link light rail to go to the airport. Awesome ambiance in the hotel.

NEEDS UPDATING SMALL BATHROOM STILL TOO DARK
NICE GYM FREE BEER GREAT STAFF GREAT PHONOGRAPHS AND RECORDS

Parking is expensive. Reccomend NOT renting car unless you're traveling far out of Seattle area. Many other options...
Great for introverted & extraverted travelers. Staff is respectful of both. Lobby happy hour includes free coffee, tea & Local Beer.

Many posts on some sites comment on the very small rooms-- I don't think this needs to be a negative though especially if you already expect it--they're very functional, clean, and well done. Only points of improvement would maybe be to havw free breakfast but honestly not necessary esp already w free beer and coffee. A service or shuttle to airport maybe would be nice but maybe not cost effective for the hotel unless they teamed up w other hotels around to provide it.
Great location for the conference I was going to. Beautiful artsy decor with lots of attention to detail, lots of character. Most comfortable bed I've had out of at least a dozen recent hotels. Super friendly staff. Great free beer and coffee in lobby. I like the incentive to pass on housekeeping with local goodies. Nice hot showers with good water pressure. Everything very clean.

A quirky little hotel in a great location right doe my own.

Best stay in Seattle yet. The hotel was great, comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. Every night they have a complimentary beer tasting in the lobby which was extremely enjoyable. We also really like that the rooms came with a record player and records to listen too. Awesome touch!
April 19, 2015
Bed wasn't made up when we arrived to the room. Staff gave us a new room and a $20 food voucher
April 18, 2015
Exorbitant cost of bottled(!) water ($10), Conor theme of red color in lobby and in bathroom, 2 ½ feet square standing shower
Provision of ear plugs, Lather brand toiletries, Creme rinse & body wash in addition to usual toiletries, sealing tabs on toiletries, dampened toilet seat cover, good looking table lamps, clock radio, good painting on the room external door, inside wall painting, packed breakfast (to-go); Prompt service
April 18, 2015
My room was placed next to an elevator. When the elevator passes the floor where my room was placed, makes some noise like somebody hits a tinware. It was very difficult to sleep with these noises.
April 16, 2015
Parking is a bit steep, but I understand that they have packages that defer some of the cost of parking.
We loved the beds, so comfortable and cozy. The craft beer happy hour was great and we met some other guests. Location was great so that we walked anywhere we wanted to go. Great restaurant next to hotel.
April 15, 2015
The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was really cozy and we were able to walk (almost) everywhere we wanted to visit because of the location ;)
