Mayan Resort    

The view from the balcony was great! Being right on the beach was super!

We originally booked the room for about $55.00, At check in the "resort fees" tool it to $74.00. Some what deceptive.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mayan Resort. It fit all of our needs. The beds were very comfortable

Loved the location! Also the continental breakfast was great, staff serving the breakfast very friendly.

Not enough parking for all guests, had to wait 20 minutes to get a spot, carpets and bathroom were old, carpets were stained, cockroaches in the kitchenette

Staff

Poorly maintained. Had to wipe down the room with sanitizer wipes. TINY bathroom and sink area. Continental breakfast...bread,a few packaged yuck muffins...had to go to front desk to get milk and inform them that the toaster...was behind the front desk... No fruit... All around not a good place. I'm pretty easy to please

was a good value for the money,bed was comfortable and was clean for the age of hotel

the resturant next door had an outside band that played until about three am on the weekend and it was too loud to get to sleep.

I liked the location, it was right on the beach!

The employees at the front desk were rude, maybe because they thought that I was young and that entitled them to be that way? I don't really know. And also, the "security guard" that watched the parking at night was drunk on the job every night. Didn't really make me feel safe. Also, parking sucked! I had to pay $10 out of my own money a day because they ran out of parking, and then wait until the last day when I checked out to get reimbursed.

On the beach

Resort fee wasnt aware of when booking, dirty sheets, the piece of the celing in our showwer was broken and could see the pipes, vvery loud ocean deck club next door on friday and sat night til 2 am kept kids awake, breakfast room was poor and felt like a sona air was broken had to call maintence

Location and staff...

Out dated room's and facilities..Elevators were scary I thought they were going to break down at any moment plus they smelled.Chipped paint every where and maintenance came to fix the door as soon as we checked in.

Beach balcony was beautiful Ocean Deck and Daytona beach Pier with in walking distance.

Badly needs uplift in rooms. Windows on patio and floor filthy. Bathroom toilet and tub needs to be replaced. Slamming doors all night because they are old and need to replaced.

The parking was horrible, the room had ants in the kitchen, the tub felt like it was about to cave in. The hotel lock wasn't working. Locked out of the room each time we went out. It was a restaurant next to the hotel they played loud music all night. I will never go back.

good beach location....walking distance to bars restaurants etc...

very noisy ....mainly younger single people and loud music from bar next door until early hours...needs a reno... place is in poor shape...

The ancient elevator.

The staff. What there was of one. Lack of customer service skills.

Good bedroom, great area=next to the OCEAN DECK!!!. Good staff and great security. I hope many people do a reservation by you for the Mayan Inn. Thanks. Joanne McCarthy

I would like the elevators be in better condition. I would like the free breakfast have some bagels, english muffins, or waffles.

Location! Closest to everything

Have to bring bug spray & your own sheets, last time we stayed we found bugs in the room, "ants" & hair in the sink. The couch was stained pretty bad, we put towels on it, but we stated again bring bug spray & our own linens. The club outside nextdoor is very loud until 3am. Price is right for what you get. It was nice watching the band from our balcony. If your looking for quietness, don't stay here. It's a party hotel in a great location. We will stay again

Loud music until after 1:00 am coming from the Ocean Deck restaurant and bar. Sound proofing in the room was non existent.

Right on the ocean - woke up to waves - this is the only thing mind you that was pleasant.

Room had cracks in the wall, picture popping out of frame, smelled like cigarette smoke, carpet was wet and smelled like mildew, mold in the shower, towels were stained, carpet was stained, dust bunnies everywhere, build up dirt on every ledge - completely filthy!!

It was close to main street.

Room was dirty water ran all the time it was too expensive for two night $700.

Location

The place is run down. Three of four days we had problems with the card for the door. We had to have maintenance in the room three days working on door lock and to let us in . The refrigerator switch was broke and froze everything over night. Balcony chair was broke. Parking was a nightmare. They should have been ashamed of the breakfast buffet. Loud musin from the bar next dood until 2 am. It was a one star hotel with a five star price. This will be the last time I stay there. It was worth $50 a night not $279.00

We were there for the first weekend of bikeweek2013. I loved the fact we could walk to main street and our room was over looking the ocean. We are smokers and smoking is allowed. That was nice. The ocean deck is right next door and had a band friday night,kareoke saturday, didn't bother us as we were up and out partying anyway. GREAT PLACE if you are going to Daytona to party, espeacially for bikeweek being so close to main street.

unfortunately it was a bit chilly. Although we did not spend alot of time in the room, an upgrade to the tv's would be nice for when you are in the room. Motorcycle parking was a mess at night, need to do a better job with that.

I like the Mayan and it's location.

The hotel is in bad shape and the rooms are in fair shape. Bedding was fairly comfortable and clean. For over $300 dollars a night during a sell out event, the Mayan is very over priced. Hopefully they will upgrade soon, fo they are in an excellent location, just south of the pier and Main Street.

Locatiion

Dirty, Bed was broken, Breakfast was a joke. Basically, they did everything as cheap as was possible. In a $250 per night hotel, they could have at least spent $100 more on the breakfast and had something hot besides just toast.
