Pool and location
Staff and room/balcony unclean
Location was good, friendly staff on the reception.
Our room was not cleaned whilst we stayed there, after being out all day and wishing to relax on an evening the cleaners tried to come in circa 17:40 each evening!! Also we ordered room service one evening when we were going out and gave permission to enter the room and drop off, the staff dropped off the food (piza) but left the other previous plates from meals in there, so on top of the cleaning this was unbelievable for what we were paying and the 4 star rating, not what I would expect!
This hotel is a favourite of mine and this was my fifth visit. Having said this, at check in on learning it was my fifth visit and it was my birthday I was checked into the smallest room I have ever had staying there. It's a shame as I have always loved this hotel but probably won't be returning again.
staff and reception not service friendly. offer first available rooms before 4pm only with a fee to those willing to pay.
I cannot think of anything positive to say about this hotel. The architecture is so interesting, which is one reason I chose it. But it is dire need of a renovation, a thorough cleaning and updating, and new management.
This hotel is decrepit, rundown and smells strongly of mildew! It was the worst hotel experience I have had. I could not have tolerated the room at even 1/3 of the cost. The room smelled so strongly of mildew it was almost impossible to sleep. Everything in the room was worn out, chipped, grungy. The food in the restaurant was served cold. The staff were friendly enough, but I don't know how they manage to work there. This hotel seems to be dying and was nothing like the pictures I saw online when booking.
Pool, rooms as big and comfortable. Good location.
Staff at front desk were not so welcoming. They charged us extra 100 usd for late checkout and we were late by 1/2 an hour. They also charged us extra 30 usd because we asked for someone to help us with the hot tub, unbelievable!
Very large room (suite) Very nice facilities
The room was freezing cold and the maintenance was unable to shut off the a/c - I froze the whole night. The floors were not clean - and my feet were dirty....upon getting in shower and the shower was difficult to turn on because you had to get into the shower and stand there to get the faucet on. I did not like the fact that I could not go to the rooftop pool and security was there for a private party stopping me from even looking - I was there for one night so why advertise the happy hour. The crowd was inappropriately dressed and girls butts were sticking out in the lobby - totally unacceptable - I felt like i was in a strip club lobby. Unacceptable! The only compensation I received was a FREE breakfast - wow! I will never return and will not recommend this hotel and I know alot of people. It has potential but perhaps in the islands on a beach.
Room size and in room facilities.
No water in spa tub. In room drinks too expensive.
Noisy people in the floor beneath our room, I call reception during the night and complained in the morning
Pool breakfast Location
Fabulous place. Very welcoming and accomodateing. We enjoyed it very much!
stuff has an attitiude no wifi reported several times. Stuff did nothing for three days hotel was nice 20 years ago probably. now needs remodeling or demolishing
The location is Close to downtown
This is a big hotel just has one staff at the fron door, i have to wait 30 minutes to check in. Aslo ,i disapointed about the room, that didnt pretty like the picture. I pay 2 days and 2 night for 459 .The floor always wet, the key always had problem.
Accommodation ,staff is helpful, enjoyed spa and gym ,
The hotel charged amount of money on my credit card exceed than the rate of the room and when I checked out they told that this amount will not be charged and till now this amount is holded and I cant use and when I called front desk he told me that it will take from 3 days to 5 working days....its not my problem
Size of the room Location
The room smelled Wasnt very clean No day light through the wall on the terrace Expensive parking ($28+tax)
The size of the suite, the jacuzzi in the room, the location is relatively near the city center, the rooftop pool, the price.
The valet parking was expensive (but there are other parking spaces right next door), wifi was terrible in the entire building, the elevators were insanely slow.
Location in Coconut Grove
Rooms not ready at 5 pm. Staff at reception incompetent Balcony facing a wall, distance 5 ft Air-condition noisy and blowing right on the bed Whole pool area has two!! umbrellas Valet parking for only 28$/night and so on and ....
Check in time
Hotel looked great Rooms great
Maid put a pissy smelling comforter on our bed when we asked housekeeping to clean the room. Mysterious noise all throughout the day started at 5am
Dinner at Spartico and Carlos our waiter.
Hot pool with napkins floating in it, bad service at pool. Loud, rude housekeeping in hallways. Wake up call at 5am (un requested!!) hardest hotel bed ever. Hot tub that didn't work. Disorganized valets. All in all, a big disappointment.
Location, property and comfort.
Service was at best Average except for restaurant manager who took initiative to help out with front desk. We waited for over 20 minutes to check out. One clerk helping one guest and not asking for any back up help that whole time. Also, service on roof top cafe was REALLY slow and music was horrible. We left to go downstairs to restaurant. Service there was again really slow, but friendly.
The Htl is really elegant with a lot of comforts and closed to Coconout Groove so in the night is very pleasent walk throught the small streets fulls of restaurants and Bar with live jazz The cusine is excelle and the room was large and cleaned We liked it very much
Reservation have me wrong room
-the hottub was only available at an additional price. - there was a piece of glass that wasn't cleaned up before we got there and when my friend got up to use the bathroom at night without shoes she got cut, it wasn't a big piece but it could have been worse.
