Its very central location and proximity to the Penn Station was a strong point. Walking a few steps out of the door to find myself in the middle of Times Square and Broadway was a pleasant surprise. The Hotel was clean and very convenient for my purposes. The staff were most helpful and it was a positive experience.

The location is perfectly situated in the heart of Manhattan for shopping, broadway shows and dinning. Subway is just 2 minutes walking distance. All kinds of cuisine around.

We were in New York for only 2 1/2 days. The Mayfair is in a perfect location. The subway stations are around the corner and easy to get to. The doorman at Mayfair New York made our trip memorable. He was very nice, courteous, helpful, and gave us really good advise and directions. We simply adore him. I would recommend the Mayfair to anyone looking for a great hotel with an incredible location. You can walk to Times Square, the Empire State Building, Broadway shows, and many more places. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip. The rooms are small and need to be renovated. The carpet was definitely too old and looked really dirty (from how old it is.) I definitely did not want to walk barefooted there.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location I was scammed by a telephone caller sxaying he was fron desk seeking to "comfiram" my credit card details. Apparently calls can come directlly into your room rather than having to go through the switchboard at front desk. Hotel management quickly sent written notes to all guests about therse calls but unfortunatley I had given my credit card details to the scammer. I had to phone my bank in Dublin next morning, at a cost of $110.00, to cancel my card. In future all incoming calls to guests should be routed through front desk.

The hotel accomodations were more than adequate. Clean, quiet, everything in order. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and made a big difference. Phone calls between rooms did not register. The call went directly to voicemail, but did not ring at the other end.

Located in the heart of Broadway and walking distance to moma and Times Square. Next door to the Eugene ONeil Theater where the Book of Mormon is playing. Rooms are small; enough space for a bed. No view from any window. Decor is dated with pink or blue toile wallpaper, but it was clean and fine. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Staff at the desk were very nice and helpful. If you're in New York just to sleep and leave, then this is a perfectly good place to stay.

This was my second stay ay the hotel in the last two months and my experiences were nearly identical. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but well-equipped and perfect for just me. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The window unit was noisy, but makes it impossible to hear anything going on outside the room, for which I was very grateful. The location is excellent...tons of food, entertainment, and night life nearby. I would definitely stay here again!

Most of call it has an excellent location and the front office staff is extremly friendly making you feel welcomed. The room was small and highly priced probably due to the season and obviously the location. Overall impression: satisfied and felt safe staying there. The elevator needs some upgrading and this is the first time I ever have to pay for concierge, probably nyc standard of practice.

Very small room. The elevator was bad and didn't work sometimes. The room floor was uneven and was a little inclined. The staff was very friendly. Very well located and price was a bit high but I guess it is under the average of hotels in that area

Small hotel in a decent location The hotel needs a little sprucing up. It shows alot of wear. A fresh coat of paint and new carpeting. I would of been alot happier if they would of fixed my showerhead but after asking twice I gave it up!

At $220 a night, it was about the best that I could find, based on boookings.com. Being close to Times Square was fun. This is a "converted" sro. It is not a "boutique" hotel. The place feels downtrodden and not particularly clean. The room was tiny. A full-sized bed barely fit in and the window was on a grim air shaft. This is a one star hotel at best. You can't make a silk purse out of this sow's ear.

Really good location, right next to and so near all the theatres in Broadway. Metro stations only a block away. Great value. Room a little small, but with such good rates and great location, it's no big deal.
