- location - comfy bed -clean
- very bad wifi - next to nothing
This is the second time I have stayed at this property. I feel it is an excellent value, and you cannot find a better location to explore the city.
Carpet needs to be replaced in several areas of the hotel.
Staff look after you very friendly Rooms nice Location great close to everything
Decor in the room a direct copy of the tiny rooms oc Libertel Lafayette in Paris, exact same toile fabric & wallpaper.
Chipped & paint spattered tile on bathroom floor leaves an unshakable impression being unhygienic although it seemed clean enough.
the location is very close to Times Square.
Room are extremely small, the bed too hard, Wifi terribly slow, the carpets very dirty, and there were 4 groups of people including us, waiting for the rooms to be prepared until 3:40pm when check-in was at 3:00pm. The staff didn't seem to care.
Location Rooms small but plenty big enough for the time you are in them Clean and tidy Good bed Bathroom was really good
Hotel needs a makeover but is clean and tidy
We saw five Broadway shows all within easy walking distance. Friendly and obliging staff.
Location was great and the price was good.
The wifi was poor in the bedrooms. I do feel the hotel could have looked better and a little TLC and it could be more appealing to tourists. The staff were always friendly but maybe the uniforms could have been a bit smarter as it brought the initial look of the hotel down when we first arrived.
Friendly & helpful staff. The Mayfair has character something sadly lacking in the big name brand chains. I thoroughly recommend a stay at the Mayfair, it may not be everyone's 'cup of tea' but it certainly worked for us. Thank you 'Mayfair' for a great Times Square experience.
Wi-fi was slow
Location, Wifi, air conditioning
Proximity to subway,theatres and restaurants.
Rooms incredibly small.Very difficult to maneuver around luggage and bed with 2 adults in space.
Location. Restaurant around it. Quiet in a good location
Wifi a bit slow. View. Just so so. But of good value. !! Highly recommend
NO FRIDGE NOISY AC NO VIEW BRICK WALL
To be honest, there is nothing what's not to like! It's a beautiful, quiet hotel despite its location, very beautiful old feeling to it with the vintage photos on the walls... elevator! :) Great wi fi access. Very, very helpful staff at the reception, friendly and always ready to help, even if you know the city. Thank you James for all the great tips about where to get a perfect picture for my photography course! And for all the other helpful advice and just the great, warm atmosphere! I'll be back soon! :) I hope to see a kettle next time in my room ;) But it's a tiny thing, really, the room was perfect! Loved the old style...
I loved everything, from the check in to the check out.
Room is cleaness and recepcionist is very Nice
The elevator is very old
Proximity to Times Square and Broadway shows. Free wifi. Clean and comfortable.
Small room, but since it was only a place to sleep while seeing New York, it did not bother me.
Location, bed, house keeping, shower.
Wifi not working, you can not even check your email or do a simple google search with it. But there is a cafe near the hotel, which has a slow but working wifi. The decor is too tired, it is cool for a night but if you stay longer, you'll just notice how much it cries for renovation. Some rooms are too awful, some other in fair condition. My first room had a not working AC and was above their kitchen, awful air condition, but they changed it afterwards. Some staff are nice, especially those in night shifts, some others are the opposite. Next time I would add the extra money and stay somewhere better, as the difference with a good hotel is not that much.
Convient location next to Book Of Mormon. Maid did a great job keeping the room up and well stocked. Front desk was friendly and helpful.
Roof leaked twice after taking shower. Very noisy air conditioner and pretty hot without it. Very cramped quarters. TV remote was very slow and sometimes didn't work very well. TV channels missing what I wanted to watch. The bar wench at the Cielo bar downstairs tried to defraud me $20. I paid for a cocktail and the bill was $8.71. She added $20 tip!
Stuff was very kind, helpful and adorable. We checked in to hotel early morning (our check in date was for previous day). We thought that we have to leave the hotel at 12 pm but they arranged our check in for that day and they let us to stay untiş next day. We left the hotel that night, but it was a great gesture.
The location The room was clean. The price was good.
The air conditioning was too noisy.
Position is really good (at 1 min to blue line subway), room is small but very clean & bathroom is very comfortable with all services (hair drier, air conditioning)
air condition is very noisy but with ear plugs is ok
The hotel is in a great location but so overpriced for what it is and includes hidden charges that they don't make clear on bookings.com eg tax and wifi. If you're travelling on a budget don't stay here. Also te room was cramped and air conditioning unit in our room looked like it could explode any minute.
The room was small but clean and comfortable. It has all what you need. The location is excellent, 2 min walk from Times Square.
