Location, Staff, Atmosphere, Oliver's
Nothing really. Rooms are small but don't see much to do about this and location means not much time spent in room.
The location couldn't be best. We were in town for a science meeting and de convention center and the walk just a few blocks long, with the main shopping streets around the hotel (it is even connected to a shopping mall) and the famous market also a few blocks away. The hotel itself is beautiful, with great staff, and the room was very confortable. Even during such busy days we got the rooms for a price that was half of what we would have paid for that location and quality at any other city so the Mayflower was an excellent choice. Great wifi connection as well - not usual in busy hotel. Highly recommended.
The A/C in the room was a bit noisy. During the busy period (official hotel for a large congress) the two elevators were not enough for 12 floors and we often needed to wait for an elevator.
Nice old hotel from 1920, friendly atmosphere, very friendly personnel and the bar is just a cosey place to stay for a drink. We had a great time.
Nothing mayby the airco outside, but you get used to it.
Attractive and comfortable historic hotel in an excellent, central location.
In room hot drink-making facility a little inadequate, particularly if you are a tea drinker.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great and the food at Andaluca is quite good. Shopping is accessible with Macy's across the street and Nordstrom's around the corner, it doesn't get more convenient. My wife loves it!
Excellent location. In walking distance to everything
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Love the martini bar. Great restaurant. Great location. Beds comfortable.
The Service was excellent. We were upgraded to a very nice suite with very comfy chairs/couch/bed. Nice furnishings, wonderful linens and accessories. The staff helped us with transportation and luggage issues. We were impressed and won't hesitate to come back again.
At breakfast the Oatmeal portion was too big! Really not a complaint just an observation.
I really loved the architecture, detail and comfort of the hotel. The rooms were the best apportioned room layout of any hotel I've been in Seattle. I loved the old world elegance of the hotel without the appearance of age and dinginess like some places have. I loved being connected to Westlake and the convenience of the location. Oliver's was a lovely, relaxing atmosphere.
There wasn't anything to dislike.
The 12th floor view, the bed and the WIFI were great on this visit. This is the one place I feel at home at. Close to everything from the MET to just walking around downtown Seattle.
We need more seats in the bar. Sorry but this place is always busy,
The hotel lobby is great and has a classic feel. It's not brand new, but classy. The restaurant is excellent and the bar is top notch. You're smack dab in the midst of things...the monorail to the space needle is attached to the same building. Pike's Market is in walking distance...lots of other attractions, too.
Elevators are SLOOOOW! Room service food selections are paltry. After 9pm forget anything meal wise. The gym is a bit pitiful. And ice machines aren't on every floor...the ones that have them, though can have a bit of a mildew smell.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Each one we spoke with offered service above and beyond our expectations. Further, the hotel is lovely and rooms were attractive and comfortable.
Everything is very classy, starting from decor of the lift, and including the attitude of the staff.
The room was not large; and the walls are thin (which may be a norm in time-honored buildings like this). But hey, hearing someone making sweet love just a few feet away can be quite a joyful experience.
Perfect location, very friendly staff, good (and free) internet, all non-smoking
Bathroom was quite cold (no separate heating)
The location couldn't have been better and perfectly suited my needs. The room was pretty well equipped and comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Super convenient to the train from the airport and other public transport.
Would like to have had a fridge in the room. But an ice bucket was provided and ice machine was just outside the room.
wifi connection hotel bar workers location pillow selection
Noise from external air conditioning (really loud and i was in 10th floor) Noise from internal air conditioning.
The staff were very friendly. It felt like it was 'their hotel' and they were making sure we enjoyed our stay. We requested a refrigerator and they put one in our room for us and it was there when we arrived.!
The rooms were a little small, but it is mature hotel.
Great boutique hotel! Beds are super comfortable. Location is perfect to walk a short distance to multiple parts of the city. Great hot showers with lovely shampoos and lotion.
Unfortunately the wifi would constantly drop in and out.
Great location-beautiful Classic decor.
Homeless @ Macy's
location of the hotel. Excellent Martini Bar and Bartender Patrick was excellent. Rooms were very comfortable. Food was good - Andaluca
Elevator was slow. Queen size bed too small - i thought we were booked in a king suite
The location was great with easy access to the airport and space needle. The beds were super comfy too!
The bathroom was small but the rest made up for it
We like everything about the place, the staff, the bar, the location. it's all good.
This is a wonderful place to stay in Seattle and a step back in time of great service perfect size hotel to manage and serve guests well and beautiful architecture. The service and cleanliness is great. Andaluca restaurant has the best atmosphere and the best breakfast in Seattle. Oliver's lounge is a classic cozy social environment where both guests and locals gather each day, but it is never too crowded. I have stayed here several times over the years and it has always been a great experience. The rooms are very well restored and well kept, clean and the beds are great!!!
The place oozes charm and elegance, yet is modern, friendly and has all the comforts you expect. Lovely toiletries and linens, fantastic cocktail bar and restaurant, great staff. It is a perfect location in central city, you can easily walk with your suitcase from the train coming from the airport (which is about 45 mins ride, but very cheap). I stayed here last year and was delighted again. Look forward to my stay next year when next visiting!
OK value for the money. great location
poor place ment of TV. Old outdated large furniture. poor maid service. floor not vacummed. towel quality fair. robes left wet and hanging.
