The room was extremely small barely any space to move around in room at all. The ice box in basement was terribly , it had outside products inside coming in direct contact with ice and only had foam cups. The bed was extremely hard I was embarrased to bring my wife there to spend time away from family . no toothpaste shampoo conditioner and only 1 open bar of soap

The motel had friendly staff and modern decor. The motel should advise that the beds are hard board ones and should provide cereal instead of just buns for breakfast. These two factors are important for long stay travellers.

The hotel was much nicer than we really expected, being more or less in Chinatown and fairly cheap for nyc. A private bathroom with an actual bathtub was also a nice perk. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and quiet, and it was an overall good experience. The nearest subway stations are all a few blocks away. This isn't much of a problem, unless you have heavy luggage and/or you are exhausted. There was also a train that went by every couple hours or so that was pretty loud, which may deter some people, although it didn't bother us at all.

Good Value for money and Good location regarding the financial district and World Trade Center - The internet in my floor stopped working for some time and I complained about it, but then the guy told me you can use the internet in the reception.Non sense i guess! I also had a wound in my hand and I asked him for some first aid box that they may have. He told me we don't have and if you can go to the pharmacy and buy something from there. The breakfast was very poor. They were not changing the bed linens at all except when you ask them.

Mayor Hotel is very close to Manhattan Bridge with heavy traffic andunfortunately the windows of the hotel are facing the bridge. It's pretty noisy so I slept with ear plugs. The staff was fine. Free Wi-Fi at the room was good. Interesting location in Chinatown with lots of restaurants just outside the hotel. I found the area to be safe at night, although it's pretty run down and smells of rotten fish at times. Close to Little Italy as well. Breakfast was kind of basic with coffe, croissants and bagels with cheese and ham with somewhat artificial taste. The breakfast room is too small with only one table and a couple of chairs. They store two washing machines in the room and they take up a lot of space that could be used for more tables and chairs in order to make it a more friendly area for meeting new acquaintances. Most people just fetched their breakfast and went up to their room to consume it.

The breakfast that is included at this hotel just consists of a coffee machine and a rack of croissant, nothing else! In addition to this you have to make sure you arrive early just to get the croissant as they do not seem to restock them, so once they're gone they're gone! Also, very small rooms, there was about 50cm - 100cm gap all around the bed so you couldn't open the suitcase on the floor as was not enough space, had to lift it on to the bed everytime we needed anything.

It was close to the underground, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again To check their plumbing as our toilet became blocked during the time that we were not even in the hotel

I had never stayed in such a bad hotel like a Mayor Hotel. People on a reception desk are good, but a room...OMG!!! 1. The room was a size of a little bathroom. There was a space just for a queen bed, a little table and nothing else. 2. I found a few long black hair on a blanket. It was so visible. So, that is mean that housekeeper didnt clean it at all. 3. My nightmare was continued in a bathroom. Black hair was even on a wall together with some strange red marks, the tub never was properly clean (hair around, the tile walls had some black dirt), toothpaste was on a cabinet door, and a countertop never was clean. About tile floor I dont even know what to say. That is disgusting!!!!! 4. Of course carpeted floor never was clean!!!! When I went downstairs to ask about other room, they said that the dont have any, but they promised to sent a maid to fix everything. The maid brought with her only small towel and blanket. So the blanket wasn`t bad, but you gotta see how she clean a bathroom: she only made wet a towel and "cleaned" everything. Of course she didnt clean anything, just pretended that she did. Everything was in the same way like before(((( I was so angry!!!! I have no words to describe it. I tried to give her second chance, but she even didnt try to fix faults. So this hotel is a real pigpen. Thanks God that I didn meet a cockroach there!!!!

The room was clean and the bathroom was completely fine. Also, the hotel is in a very noisy location (under a major bridge) but the soundproofing was very good and the room was quiet. The location is in Chinatown--could be a plus but it can also be intimidating. Although it is listed as having a breakfast, this is stretching the truth. There was no fruit or juice and only a "bun" to eat. Lighting could have been better but this is often the case in hotels.

Fast easy check in. Cheap price. Quiet. Clean. Our room was super super small. I wouldn't mind a super small room as long as I know about it before check in.

My husband began referring to our room as the Blues Brothers Suite...if you recall the scene in the rented room in Chicago...referring to the passing elevated train line outside the window..."How often does that happen?" "So often you won't even notice!" Clean and safe. Not near train stops although D and B go whizzing by off the Manhattan Bridge. Certainly colorful and in the heart of the real Chinatown...which we enjoyed.

I don't like this place. They request immediate payment as soon as you book through booking.com which was not stated clearly on the description. It is located in an extremely noisy and dirty neighborhood, right across the street was a busy train station, it's just not suitable to live if you want a good night's sleep after a long day's trip. However, if you just love to stick to Chinatown to eat noodles and stir fries, plus you have to be able to sleep under any circumstances, this place could be a choice. The staff there were terrible, can't provide any useful information and were aloof.

The area was great, For me the bed was awful. I have a much softer bed and it was just too hard. My back hurt in the morning and throughout the day. My husband loved the hardness of the bed. So one person was happy.

the staff was very friendly The rooms were very small though clean. The breakfast offerings should be changed. Some kind of fruit- apples, oranges or bananas and whole wheat or grain toast would be much healthier and much more appealing than what was there. Also, if you could incorporate a dishwasher, use real mugs!!!! so much more appealing and better for the environment than styrofoam.

Fantastic location - close to subway and the best ( and cheap) chinese restaurants. In a bustling part of chinatown but relatively quiet.courteous and helpful staff. Great value for money and I would stay there again.
