The being on the river. The cleanliness and the friendly owner. We were able to feel very alone since there were no other people staying there.
The smallness. The kitchen is caught in the 70's and reminded me of our first apartment. The furniture was not comfortable. Walking around the outside was difficult. Bed was too soft. Difficulty walking to any other places.
The beautiful garden near the river. The staff was very helpful.
the bed in the livingroom was a little bit old and the floor was not clean.
nice breakfast, beautiful river view
Friendly and helpful staff View from our Cabin Jacuzzi tub in our cabin
Bed not the best Kitchen not well equipped...no wine glasses, no baking sheet even though there was an oven.
The McKenzie River Inn Bed and Breakfast has a beautiful setting right on the McKenzie River. The back deck is lovely, and we'd recommend lingering out there until the sun sets. It's quiet and peaceful. The staff is wonderful - attentive yet gives you your own space. The breakfast was great.
The Inn is dated but kept very nicely. Don't expect a modern, contemporary setting. Think of it more as a family farmhouse on the river. If you understand that's the setting, you won't be disappointed.
We've never stayed in a B&B where the hosts were so genuinely friendly and the hospitality so natural. We were lucky enough to land on the July weekend of their annual Wine Tasting Festival and had the opportunity to taste award-winning wines. Several of the other guests were repeat guests from years past, which added to the easy conversation. The river-side location is also a huge plus. We ate beside the river and were lulled to sleep by the sound of the current over the rocks.
We weren't bothered by the slightly dated room décor, but travelers who are looking for extravagant interiors probably would be disappointed. If you like a warm welcome and a great natural setting, it's wonderful.
Beautiful, serene location. Loved the sound of the River outside the patio door.
Liked everything about our stay. No complaints at all.
I liked the staff immediately and the personal attention given to me. I liked the rooms and the safe feeling I got staying so far from home. It was an ideal location, and really perfect in every way.
Utterly charming. I loved staying there, and I plan to do so again the next time I am in the area. The soothing sound of the McKenzie River, the fresh air of the Oregon Rain Forest, the lovely river valley outlook all added to the experience. The breakfast we had was delicious too.
My 15 year old son was traveling with me, and his expectations were quite different regarding cable television, cell phone and internet access. This is not particularly a problem for me....
The location! The property and amenities. The view! The breakfast! The staff. Would have liked to stay and stay and stay.
Quiet, cozy, comfortable & clean.
Very charming and special place
Very quiet. Nice view of river from my bedroom, comfortable bed.
The setting was spectacular, right on the river. The cabins were quaint and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating, right down to preparing a wonderful vegetarian dinner for me.
