The man at the desk was rude.
I didn't know we were in a shared cabin and thought our room was in a lodge.
Loved the location near the river. Crowded with quests, but still quiet nights rest. Will recommend the lodge for other friends.
Hosts very nice and generous with breakfast.
McKinley Chalets location is excellent, 3-5 minutes car drive to Denali NP. McKinley also have few dinning choices on site, that's very nice (although price is a bit higher)
Check-in & Check-out staffs weren't friendly at all. And our room key did not work on the last day of stay, and our cabin is 15 minutes walk to lobby. Staffs didn't apologize for the miss, and that day temp was low (ie 40 degree)
location, location, location
housekeeping was questionable. staff minimally helpful. mattresses ancient. LOUD fan came on with bathroom light. one rickety luggage cart for entire property, that was hidden in back room. poor to fair value for the money, but not much other game in town.
Chalets are located far from reception Room service is poor Long waiting time at reception
Friendly staff, near Denali Park, good restaurants and bar.
Poor parking facilities near the rooms. Could hear others who left early or came in late.
Cozy comfy, great breakafast at Nenana grill
I loved the scenery and service. Location was fantastic as well.
I wish there had been a hot tub.
No bar soap; water was ugly looking ... rust/mineral deposits ...
People went to bed early so the thin walls were less problematic
Lack of parking close to lodge. Noise in room from others
Very close to the Denali Park entrance. Tranquil setting by the river. Walking distance to gift shops and dinning. Friendly staff. Dinning options within the hotel were great, food was prepared well and presented attractively. Fall in Denali is breath taking!!
Room was a little warm for us Alaskans so we kept the windows open, but then the sound of the river was perfect for sleeping. Would have liked a microwave and mini fridge in our room but that's more cleaning for staff and I understand!
The wooded areas and paths to the river and area
Sitting area was a little dated/worn. Needs a second comfy chair or a small love seat.
Setting was very serene on the river and near national park entrance. Sitting room with TV was separate from bedroom allowing different activities without disturbance. Bed and pillows were comfortable though noisy. We could hear the bed bump the wall next door. Food in restaurants was very good though expensive with limited selection. Wait staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
Distance from room to parking was far. Distance from room to restaurants was farther and all up hill. If I had known how far from the description of the facility, I would likely have elected a different hotel. Hotel has a regular shuttle on property to transport guests from remote lodging to the lobby.. However, the inconvenience of the wait between buses offset the availability. Many people were seen hiking uphill to meals and some with their luggage in tow. The upstairs floor transmitted every step into ceiling noise as did the stairs to the second floor outside the room on the wall. This was particularly noticeable at 4 in the morning as cruise ship patrons upstairs prepared for their early morning departure to their ship.
Beautiful location, friendly staff, nice shower.
The beds were horrible. A twin and a full that was too small for two people. We had to sleep in different beds.
Beautiful place, nice room, comfortable. Very busy. Very nice staff. Tour desk people very knowledgeable & helpful. Good restuarant. Only time I got a little help with luggage was from off duty staff member from room to bus, wish I knew his name!
Many staff not sure of themselves, not helpful. Had major problems with luggage, getting into hotel, getting to room, from room back to lobby, wow what a struggle. I do understand how busy it is there but I even asked for help several times.
It was a nice place and we got to see a play about Alaska with dinner
everythings a bit spendy but fun
Warmly service of staff
The restaurant by the river is very good. The location is also good. The shuttle service is good. The rooms are comfortable
Staff at reception and at the lobby are not polite or helpful. We got lost while searching for the room in the middle of the night. We had to walk back till the lobby because we were not given a map.
Like the design architechture,
Food range to be increased specially for Asians
Location, friendly, helpful staff, cleanlieness, size of rooms.
Parking facilities, no microwave, no refrigerator, no air conditioner, no close ice machine, over priced for the money spent.
Could not park at room. No WiFi in room.
Close to denali main entrance
Carpet really dirty You need a shuttle to make it to your room due to they force you to park outside at the main entrance
too early to check out
