My husband was born on Stanford University in 1942. We come back for his HS Reunions. He loves going down memory lane. It is BEAUTIFUL here. The red wood trees magnificent. Great restaurants down Sante Cruz.

The area that we lived in - Haven Avenue is a new area with new buildings in an old industrial building area next to a trailer park and opposite the Porsche showroom for the area. It is great for its space, but not so great without transport (You can uber/lyft, but it can be expensive) There are no eating joints around but postmates, doordash and uber eats deliver. Although I think that the choice was limited given the location

We always feel welcomed and treated so graciously. I was a little surprised at the removal of the morning complementary coffee. When I asked the manager behind the breakfast bar, he seemed offended and didn't explain the policy change. This was unusual for how friendly the remainder of all the staff! Love the cookies, love the hospitality. Unsurpassed location. We'll be back.
