We had tickets to comic con.. The walking distance was fantastic everything around will definatley book again next year..
Although an older facility, finishes and furniture were all new. Blocks to Times Square and transportation makes location convenient.
Next to garages and Lincoln Tunnel ramp - with air conditioning on, couldn't hear any traffic with closed windows. Morning coffee and snack in lobby - ?
The location is great for access to Times Square and some great places to eat in Hell's Kitchen. we travelled by bus to Manhattan from Newark Airport and the bus stop at the Port Authority is a 3 minute walk away. The bus takes 40 minutes to the airport unless it's Friday rush hour and I would allow a couple of hours or a different form of transport. Staff were friendly and the apartment was clean.
The noise was a bit of an issue. The window sounded like it was open when closed. Our apartment on the 4th floor over looked a bus holding car park and the road for buses to get to the Lincoln Tunnel. Engine noise and "reversing beep" of the buses would start at 7.30am for a good 30 minutes. One of the lifts was out of order (but was fixed quite quickly)and the other took ages to arrive whenever we used it. The bathroom door would not close properly and, whilst it was secure, the front door wasn't flush with the wall and looked like it could be pushed open.
We could walk almost everywhere. Close to supermarket and transport. Reasonable sized apartment, we had a studio. After walking all day we managed to sleep very well even with soft mattress, and noisy air conditioner.
Noisy air conditioner, close to bus depot so could be noisy. Bathroom needs a bit of refreshing.
Short walk to times square and links to anywhere in the city. We used this as our start point for a tour of New England If we had known about the bus links literally on the doorstep we would have stayed here more. would not hesitate to rebook
Great location - just off broadway Clean room Free Wifi
Right by bus station so noisy
good location，nice room with kitchen，all is good！really satisfied with that～
For the solo vacationer lording over midtown Manhattan, you cannot beat the location of Metro Apartments. Situated just a few blocks from Times Square, these clean, kitchen equipped suites are comfortable and cool. The staff is very efficient and I for one thoroughly enjoyed my stay, but then again who wouldn't in misty, magical Manhattan?
My only quibble is the lack of housekeeping, which I discovered after the fact is available upon request and comes with an added charge
good relation quality-cost, friendly staff
In Theater Row! Great little restaurant nearby! Great class of guests! Waling distance to a 24 hour Deli for snacks!
I liked it all!
Comfy bed. Spacious room, although not an apartment. Good towels and bathroom facilities. Good location for underground and near enough a lot of places to visit. There was adequate cupboard and draw space.
Advertised as apartments when only as big as a hotel room with kitchen facilities within the room. The noisy road that our window was facing. Only one chair for two people forcing one to sit on the bed to share dinner with. Only one luggage stands, does couples really travel with just one suitcase between them?!?
The staff was friendly and helpfull. The apartment was clean and bed was great! I even got my balcony as requested on line, thanks!! The location is great if you want to explore the city..2blocks from the Metro an bus stop. There is a crocery store 1block away to do some shopping if you want to prepare your own meals at the apartment! Good value for you money in NYC.
It is a bit noisy with the Lincon Tunnel next to the apartment...but hey it's New York!!!
Excellent service, the folks on the desk were friendly and extremely helpful!
We liked its location. Very handy to everything. We enjoyed the breakfast that was offered to us for an additional cost.
The Port Authority Bus Terminal at our window from morning till night. The noise was relentless.
Midtown location is great and suite, when we finally got the one we paid for - 2 nights later - was perfectly adequate for the price. The staff were pleasant enough, though there seemed to be a certain lack of organization and communication between them and the management..
Arriving after a long trip to find our party of 5 only had beds for 4. This was rectified, but it took 2 days and a quite a lot of complaining to get the suite we'd paid for. It could do without the winos 100yds from the door too, but that's not Metro's fault. For a Times Square site it's not expensive and you don't expect the Waldorf. You do expect the right number of beds though.
Location to Theatre District...friendly cooperative staff.
Noise level when windows open...but,hey, this is NYC
All the staff were helpful and friendly. There was coffee and tea making facilities in the lobby in a morning together with biscuits and doughnuts. It was in a way ideal for us as we are a family with two teenage girls and it probably would have cost us double to have two rooms in a hotel, but I was very dispointed as it had been advertised as luxury.
The appartment was advertised as luxury- in our opinion it was basic. The wiring on the lights took a bit of working out, you had to leave the kitchen/lounge lights on so you get light in one of the bedrooms. I understood the appartment was air conditioned- one of the bedrooms had an air con unit in the window, the sitting area had a portable unit fixed into the small window, but the second bedroom only has a small oscillating fan. New York was hot and and humid while we were there, so nights were uncomfortable, there was no window in this room.
Location, Location, Location right near Times Square
This feels like a budget hotel, kitcken is more like a kitchenette and quality of facilities is really lacking.
We could not use wifi because we were on the 11th floor. I booked for 6 people but it was ready for 4 people. It was not eenough for 6 people.
Small kitchen, comfy bed, location is great! 10 minutes walk to Times Square
Noisy place (bus station is nearby)
the rooms are very clean and spacious. It comes with a well equipped kitchen and I love that all utensils are provided. Its also just 5 min walk to Times Square and a stone throw to subway and supermarts! Will definitely stay here again!
The apts where well stocked & very clean & comfortable
The only downside & it's small. 4 girls sharing an apt with 1 mirror was challenging. A full length mirror would have been beneficial. And a kettle. Otherwise excellent
I like that the maid was not in every day and I could have clean linen when necessary.. I would stay at the Metro again. It was .much better than I expected. Thanks for the coffee.
I was sometimes ignored at the desk, even a written request had to be remade,....I like to feel homely away from home. If the staff were not new then they have to pay more attention to customer relation..There was no rapport.
