Location was good. Price was great compared to rest of area and we had a whole suite.
Pillows were big and a little to firm. No big deal though.
The front desk staff, Chris is amazing. He was so kind explaining us all we want to know. The room is huge with comfortable beds and pillows. We were in 13th floor and got an amazing view from our windows and small balcony. The bathroom is large and the shower is perfectly working. They give us sufficient toilleteries and towels. The kitchen is well equipped to make a decent simple meal.
We stayed for 2 days and sadly the wifi was not working at all. Also, they didn't clean your room, you have to clean it yourself. The sink in our bathroom was a bit clogged, the water run down slowly. A rack for washed plates and glasses and an extra kitchen towel would be more handy.
Location Space Balcony Seperate living areas
The beds were very hard No towels in bathroom
Clean property good location very good price comparative
No hot water in shower in Am
Most helpful staff ever! I booked a taxi to go to the airport, but it left because I arrived late at the hotel. The staff called for another one, but as it didn't show up for a long time the superintendent drove me there himself!! Otherwise, location is good, the bed is GREAT and the price (although super high for any other city) was very decent for NY in December.
There's a lot of noise coming from the street outside.
The location, the staff especially chris who also had time for a chat and generally a nice guy. For the price we paid it was well worth it.we would recommend the metro to our friends and we would stay there again.
The only thing was the noise from the bus authority but it was only a minor problem.
We liked the privacy & apartment like atmosphere
The couch was hard
Good rate for NYC.
Close to port authority Close to time square
Hotel Service was the worst I've ever encountered. Room had rips in the carpet. Sheet metal exposed near sink ( cut hazard) Bed sheets were definitely not washed Found pubic hairs on the toilet seat. DO NOT STAY ON FLOOR 4! IT IS GARBAGE
close to amenities and attractions some members of staff (Chris) very helpful.
noise informed at check-in we were entitled to linen change as staying 1 week asked 3 times plus reminded but linen never changed. special request floor 10 on 41st as light sleepers on check in were offered ground floor next to reception with buses very noisy! at back suggested this was upgrade at first when asked to move were informed not available as apts full and special requests cannot always be given until female member maybe management sorted it out we were given exactly what we had booked and requested.
Location was good. Service was ok. People live in the block so hallways are a bit poor. Don't expext the world.
Location, spacious studio, reasonable price for what you get.
Noisy location with single glazing, internet impossible to log into at peak times.

nice room friendly and helpful staff
bathroom too tiny
After seeing mixed reviews I made sure to take the suggestions of requesting a room on a higher floor that was recently renovated and facing 42nd street. When walking in to the room we were amazed at how nice it was- it was like an apartment for the standard room we reserved. With an entirely separate bedroom and a kitchen that was stocked with all the eating necessities (plates, cups, silverware, pots, etc.) This room greatly exceeded what I was expecting.
The shower did not have a base at the bottom to keep the water in so it leaked on the floor to a second drain.
location near Time Square; price
location near highway; much noise from the traffic outside; staff not helpfull and could be nicer; wifi logins didn't work, I had to ask for help everyday so they log me in (like other guests by the way)
I first visited in 2012 with my parents. I was so impressed I returned with my partner. Great value for money, exactly what you need when you're out all day sightseeing. Perfect location 5 minutes from times square, 10 mins from Macy's, Grand Central and Rockefeller. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely return a 3rd time.
The beds are great
Amazing location five minute walk to Times Square, room had everything we needed for a great week away. A little dated but in the process of updating.
Loads of towels and balcony for a smoker.
Wifi should be easier to connect. Problematic.
Convenience and equipped kitchenette
Slow attitude of staff to clean bathroom - when we arrived there were hairs in the bath and it took an hour of them trying to apportion blame before they actually cleaned it.
Warm, comfortable and clean accommodation. Excellent value for money. Great views of the city at night. The traffic noise was bearable - living in London, it was not too bad. We were given 12th floor accommodation so noise level was as expected in a bustling city. Friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
Taxi drivers reluctant to take you directly to accommodation. Happy to drop you a couple of blocks away - something to do with the road system that doesn't suit them. However, my daughter has Ms so this became a problem for us.
The apartment was well presented and in a great location for going to local attractions. We could do all on foot
Our room was located on the ground floor and the noise from the night staff at the reception was far too loud. On our last night they started to do some refurb work on the lifts at 1am!!! When we complained they offered to change our room but as we were getting up at 5.30 to go to the airport this was not practicle
Our second stay at Metro was in 1 bedroom studio on level 11 still very noisy however could not fault the apartment. Location great.
Do not book a studio apartment ours was shabby, we had to ask for bath towels shower gel shampoo etc. In general the studio needed completely demolishing and starting again. Traffic noise horrific luckily we had earplugs. Staff however were fantastic.
This was a great choice for me not only for location but for the excellent set up- kitchen, spacious, kitchen facilities and convenience to all things New York (food markets, theatre, subway,Times Square. It even had a little balcony. You looked after yourself -towels put in the basket, trash in the trash room and if you wanted replacements you asked and received including toiletries - that's why I loved this set up. Also you can ask for an extended stay for $25 p/h if you've got a late night flight, thanks!
I liked everything except the traffic noise, it's very near the Lincoln Tunnel entrance/exit - a problem easily solved with some decent thick curtains (not curtains as thin as a shower curtain.). Also maybe a change of sheets as I was there 8 nights(perhaps I should have asked). Overall there's little to complain about at all unless you're expecting a 4 star hotel.
