Location and outlook was good.
Furniture and washrooms are old styled and demands a lot of improvement.
Simple straightforward no thrills apartment
To close to Port Authority busstation and it's savvy neighborhood
Location, wifi, kitchen, room to open suitcases, elevator, private bathrooms
We had a suite on the 7th floor. It had a microwave, stove top, coffee maker, TV, comfy bed and ensuite. There is a lift too. Compared to other places we stayed this seemed like good value considering you're in New York.
It is on a busy ugly intersection (however only a couple of streets away is nice) so being on a lower level could be noisy.
Three blocks from Times Square if that is your thing Welcome YOU'RE THERE
Staff Good size for a single flat
The strong smell of the old carpet The noise, no double glazing The Air Conditioning was not working properly, too old The location near a bus/car station with day and night busy traffic
Clean, comfortable, great locale, excellent and helpful staff
Poor, poor internet. Interfered with work. Just unacceptable for today's travelers needs. Get it together and upgrade.
Easy walk from times square and 42nd st subway. Pretty much got exactly what we expected. neat, clean, good staff and well run. Would I stay there again - yes probably.
Manky view of the highway and almost nothing else if you have an apartment facing the back of the building. Very light curtains so no light blockage either. In spite of those we were not really disturbed by the highway noise or lights and slept very well. Might have been because there s so much to do that we collapsed into bed exhausted.
Value for money, well equipped self serviced bed-sit one room apartment with choice of whether you wanted to pay for housekeeping during your stay.
Room backed onto bus station/terminal which operated 20/24 hours per day- bring your ear plugs!
Laundry facilities were very convenient. Location was close to food shopping plaza and the Port Authority transport hub. Kitchen facilities are a great feature.
Noisy air conditioning and street noise. Take ear plugs and you should have a better sleep. Musty smelling bathroom. Be selective about the streets that you walk down in this neighbourhood.
Nothing, it was awful
The hotel is located next door to Port Authority Bus Terminal In a VERY VERY noisy street, the rooms lack double glassing an the honking an noise of all the trucks and buses kept us awake all night ( we were in the eight floor). The street is full of homeless and strange people so the management put a guard in every floor but once you step out of the hotel you are on your own and its quite frightening!. The extra bed in the room was so bad that my daughter preferred to sleep on the floor, for the second night we asked to change the bed so we got a worse one so the three of us slept in one queen size bed, not what I expected for a $200 + hotel ,even in Manhattan!! This hotel can really spoil your vacations!!
We really like the location of the hotel. Close to the Main bus station, and walking in 10 minutes to the main avenues. The Staff was great and the price.
It was too close to the bus station, so from 5am there were a lot of noise from the buses coming into and out of the station. Also there were no blinds so we woke up early due to the noise and brightness.
rude staff rooms extremely small air con in one of bedrooms and didn't work bathroom tiny rooms stunk of smoke electricity unsafe with extension cords everywhere no towels told to g et our own from cupboard in hall so bad we checked out by 9am in morning
Central location, Room was clean when we arrived Staff was helpful
The carpet smells bad, needs to be replaced One of the stove plate was not working even after the technician was called The wifi stopped intermittently
The staff was very kind and sociable. The location was perfect for our site seeing needs. Some reviews I read complained that it was noisy, but we had no issues with noise.
The proximity, staff.
The mouse which appeared in the unit and not being able to access the internet from our room.
Location is one big factor in favour of Metro Apartments.
The only thing I do not seem to like in the apartment is their cleaning policy. You have to pay $50.00 each and every time you want your room to be cleaned. This is not good enough.
Location was good, the bed was pretty comfi.
Poor management! I was referred to the manager Diana Puro in some matter and her attitude was horrific, she just didn't want to help and gave us bad attitude. It's too bad because over all the place is nice.
location was good, 10 minutes walking distance from time square morning staff were helpful
dirty: I got bed bugs the moment I arrived! changed the room then again bugs in the new room!! very noisy: windows are not isolating noise at all, I wasn't able to sleep without sleeping bills! night shift staff are completely unhelpful: I had to shift my room alone over night and the night shift team asked me to bring them the key after shifting the room instead of offering me a hand!!
good location and clean room
staff is not good, always bad mood.
I loved the location, the cleanliness and comfort of the room, the courtesy of the staff. I will definitely come back!
Traffic when getting out of the hotel, very confusing for pedestrians and a bit scary. There was no soap in the bathrooms. I stayed there for 3 nights and I would go to front desk everyday asking for soap and they would tell me that supply had not been delivered. Internet availability to always reliable.
Close to subway and Times Square, midtown etc
Wifi pathetic in rooms and so slow in lobby, no soap, room not cleaned on agreed date, shabby and dirty surrounding area
Excellent location, very kind staff. There is an ATM on the lobby of the hotel. Great location, short distance to Times Square and Metro stations, right in the hear of Manhattan.
Room furniture and carpet are bit old, and maybe not super clean. Nothing worrisome, just not spotless.
Very close walk to times square. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The staff was wonderful and helpful. It was a great bargain for 6 people to stay so close to so much to do and see.
It was a little noisy outside, but, it is new York so why wouldn't it be..
The location was good as they are reasonably priced. Having said that though there were some dodgy people around and the entrance is very close to the busy motorway
The toilets are old and with paints coming off. The flush system was really bad and almost broken. They dont have vents in the toilet so it smells. Adding to that we were at the last room to the corridor and the wifi did not work properly at all
