Magnuson Hotel Detroit Airport    

Staff went far beyond the normal expectation to provide exceptional customer service, and tot meet my very specific needs that morning; I could not have worked out getting the rental car I needed, and I would have been stuck in Detroit, missing my job interview! They were courteous, helpful, and respectful. And the shower was beyond belief!

One small oddity was that there were no blankets on the bed; it was a mattress cover, a top sheet, and the traditional ugly as mud bed cover. Such as mall thing in light of all the good, but I wanted to be complete.

The location to DTW

I feel for the Hotel was very run down, needs major interior makeover. Holes in wall, Dirty bath tub(didn't shower because of) smelled terrible of cigarettes. People constantly running the halls. Should be a 20$ per night hotel.

The very courteous staff especially the chamber maid.

Hotel room was dirty and shower drain was clogged. There was food on the floor from the previous people who stayed there. The hotel was supposed to be non-smoking, but the lobby smelled like smoke like the employees were smoking.

Not much

Toilet failed to work. Overall feeling felt dirty and unsafe; (Like I would be raped or stolen from in the middle of the night). Woke up multiple times throughout the night to adjust heating as there were only 2 settings;(boiling hot or freezing cold). Slept on top of bed with valuables and coats. Did not shower the next day as tub was disgusting and we both felt like we would be even dirtier after the shower.

I didn't like that the bed was broke. before I broke it. And the toilet wouldn't flush. Not enough plugs.

The staff was all friendly and knowledgeable. An outstanding value for the location and conveniences.

Cigarette burns on the bedding, which was quickly brought to the desk staff's attention. I did not want to be blamed for this problem. Otherwise, an outstanding value for the location and conveniences.

Location was excellent proximity to the airport. The vouchers offered for extended parking ~ excellent.

The front counter staff both day and evening seemed distracted, not real people friendly.

The young fellow at the desk was very helpful & asked me how my day had been. He listened.

The staff was rude!!! The lady who checked us in was rude and the housekeeping staff did not speak! The room was dusty and the bath tub was dirty! I will never stay there again!

All premises owned by this hotel was clutter if with junk or just plain filthy.

Everything, It's a dump

Easy access to airport. The room was comfortable, although minimal.

No closet in room. The bathroom sink is so close to the bathroom door that you can't open the door if someone is standing at the sink.

Staff members were friendly . Location is excellent . I recommend the hotel for my friend .

Shuttle to airport . It was inexpensive I stayed only 1 night each way when flying to Fl. It served its purpose. The second room I stayed in was much better than the first.

Didn't feel very safe. Other guests were loud and it smelled of marijuana in the hallways.

Me and 3 other guys stayed here as we needed to catch an early flight to Myrtle Beach. All we were looking for was a place to crash. If you just need something very simple and your not travelling with girly girls I would reccommend this hotel. It looks like they are under some rennovations and trying to make some improvements.

The hotel was comfortable and affordable . It was very close tot he Airport as we were flying out the next day. The staff was very friendly and very Helpful. Also nice to see that they were upgrading the interior of the hotel.
