Metro Plaza Hotel  

The location was great,it is about a five minute walk to the hotel from Union Station. We also enjoyed the Historical District around the hotel. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. We would stay at this hotel again.

I like the location. The staff has always been great. I am a frequent customer.

We wanted to take an excursion out from the Los Angeles Union Station and needed to be there no later than 8:15 am. The only way to accomplish this was to arrive the night before. I am listed as 100% disabled, which is deemed to be entirely service-connected by the Veterans Administration, and have problems when required to walk longer than one mile. Therefore, it was necessary to stay relatively close to the Union Station. If similar circumstances necessitate me to be at the station before other means of transportation that would otherwise delay the connection at the station, we shall not hesitate to stay at your location in the future.

The Ice machine was inoperative on the floor we stayed at, with no sign stating where an operational machine was located. This lack of notification delayed our actions for approximately 20 minutes.

My partner and myself enjoyed our stay at the Metro Plaza Hotel very much. It is very central and is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and Union Station. The staff are very approachable and helpful. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to stay in downtown LA.

I have no complaints about the hotel but I find one problem in the breakfast room. Some guests do sit there and chat even though they have finished their breakfast and do not have considerations for other guests who could not find a place to sit. In the interests of other guests, the hotel management might want to consider putting up signs at the table to request guests to vacate their seats when they finish their breakfasts.

Location and convenience for public transport

The staff were very friendly. Excellent location in Downtown L.A. The rooms were very clean.

It was close to Union Station. We just needed a hotel for the night between train arrival and next day departure.

The hotel staff upon arrival was somewhat abrupt and not at all focused on customer service. Yes, he checked us quickly and efficiently but it appeared he was having a bad day. For example, after we got to our room, wanted the internet password, call the front desk and after asking my question he stated I needed to come to the front desk and hung up without waiting for a resonse from me. I would recommend hotel only based on location and price.

Location to Union Station for the train and China Town for our Las Vegas tour was great. Breakfast also was good.

Nice fruit and bagels for breakfast. Exercise room was never full.

Location and service are great. Without a car this is one of the best choice.
