Everything, it was great.
Needs a laundry service, so guest can wash their own clothes.
Location close to Union Station was ideal for our late night arrival.
Location was excellent. Close to Railway Station and El Pueblo with interesting market and nice restaurants.
- really close to Union station (walking distance with a backpack and a 23kg luggage) - free coffee all day, good breakfast
- not much around by night
Close to Union Train Station. Perfect for an early start on the Pacific Surfliner up the coast.
Located in Chinatown which was a bit too far out of the city.
Lively historic Spanish quarter, near union station good bars restsurants,
Wifi password was given upon check-in and I didn't need to ask; close to tons of public transportation; walking distance from Little Tokyo, Chinatown, and Union Station; free breakfast; no issues with staff; lowest price in the area; only a 4 storey building so I felt safe in case of an emergency; room had a closet with hangers and a safe, though I didn't use it; thick curtains kept the early morning light out; very well kept bathroom had quiet flush, curved out shower curtain, plenty of towels & washcloths, hair dryer, and new fixtures; nice firm bed.
Wifi was slow; noisy area (though not unexpectedly so, it's right on a big city street); room smelled a bit "stale" and old though not awful; bathroom door couldn't be propped open; air didn't seem to work in the room but it was nice weather so it wasn't an issue; breakfast (though yummy) included no protein or vegetables of any kind, and creamer for one's coffee was limited only to powdered non-dairy creamer or the milk they had out for cereal.
Easy place for a stopover while using the train
walking distance to the moca
SUPER slow WIFI barely worked rude staff breakfast selection beds were like sleeping on a brick wall
Closeness to Union Station
Hotel was rundown. Air conditioners were near the bed and blowing cold air over to the bed which you could get sick. Filters in the air conditioner was not cleaned so dusty and cold air was blowing over.
pay to park in lot
I like the is cross to most of the places like chinatown, la placita olvera and more.
i didn't like the comforters look old and the tv. I think the does two think would be changes.
Early check-in (11:00) was no problem.
Room had an unpleasent smell, possibly from the cleaning product used. Fortunately window could be opened to let in fresh air.
The staff was very personable and interested in meeting the needs of their guests. The hotel is within walking distance Union Station and several LA attractions.
Bed was a bit hard. Didn't care for spring closer on the bathroom door.
1. Hotel condition is really bad 2. Person on reception is rude n doesn't have clue about anything 3. Room doesnt hv AC. 4. Toilet flush doesn't work 5. We had to stand n eat our breakfast as there were no place to sit
Although the location in the center of city and near the old Chinatown, but it seems that not safety if you went out at night.BTWthe hotel staff were very nice!.
We liked the proximity to Union Station; we hand carried our light luggage the short distance to the station and enjoyed the walk down Olvera Street on the way. Breakfast was adequate; staff helpful and friendly
Hotel was very close to Amtrak station and LA metro. Room was clean and spacious and nice clean bathroom. There was a small breakfast that was appreciated
The MP is one of those hotels sought out by savvy travellers from all over the and, occasionally from the U.S. seedy location but excellent accommodations. My room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and apparently recently renovated. It was close to the train station, where I arrived early one morning. The hotel is about 3 easy blocks away, so I walked, with luggage I tow. It is on the edge of Chinatown, and I had wonderful dim sum for breakfast. There is bus service to just about everywhere, including the Music Center. Olvera street offers trinkets and tacos about a block away. For travellers needing every service, there's a bail bond office next door. It is off the beaten path, but it's far cheaper than any other hotel around, and it's an excellent value.
I would be uncomfortable walking alone at night for any distance.
Upgrade even though we were early
The location and the people at the hotel. They also gave a nice breakfast.
Good value for money. Breakfast good
Hard to find as signs are not all working or visible. We were walking from the Amtrack station at night
near downtown you can park the car for the night ( $4 )
noise homeless people and a few prostitutes around at night
