good location convenient parking
- room is quite expensive, considering it hasn't been renovated in a long time - breakfast quite basic
Great place to stay if you're picking up a train in the morning. It's right across the street and a block away from Union Station.
It looks like a return to the 80's. That's probably the last time any renovations were made.
I like all close to the union station LA and close to all nice hotel
The gym need look better with a new machines
We arrived around 11pm and were out by 10am, only spending one night there. Room was clean and welcoming with good wifi. Breakfast in the morning was standard continental, but there was plenty of it and lots of seating space. Was really happy with my stay here!
No late-night food places for hungry travellers. Quite a large homeless population outside.
Pleasant, smiling, and welcoming employees.
Breakfast is lacking.
Location to union station
Fitness center is tired and lacks AC half the equipment was broken Safe was broken in room WiFi was slow Rooms very old and tired
Everything I wrote in the evaluation. Plus that is was close to every place we wanted to visit from the Union Station
the entire stay was comfortable. I'll keep coming back
terrible hard bed! Wifi extremely slow!
The staff at front desk who assisted the hotel manager. I was relieved to be leaving after two nights.
This hotel is old and stuffy, the carpets probably have not been shampooed. I think there are bed bugs on the blankets because the night I removed the blankets I was not covered in as many red itchy red welts as the day before. The breakfast is rather sad, all I can say you will require lunch and you will need to go early as the seating space is limited.
close to union station
Price. Proximity to Union Station, Ease of using Bus Service to the Station. It is a Good economy Hotel well located in LA
Frank Mezta: Fisher family weekend in L.A. - complete dissatisatisfaction! I am writing to let you know that the accommodations at the METRO PLAZA HOTEL in Los Angeles, CA this past weekend for my daughter, son-in-law & grandson (Liana & Sergio Fisher, Anthony Mezta) were a huge disappointment. I will list the rather lengthy list of complaints: ü Upon arrival at the hotel, the entrance to the hotel parking lot was unattended. My daughter had to get out of their vehicle and ask the hotel clerk what to do. My son-in-law was told to back up onto the street and then enter through the narrow EXIT. ü The rooms looked nothing like the photos you sent me in advance of making the reservation. They were rather “seedy”, smelly and “cheap-looking.” ü There was hair on the carpeting and floors of the room, really disgusting! ü The beds were so uncomfortable that they had trouble sleeping. ü My grandson was in bed and felt something crawling on his arm, it was a large, black spider which he knocked off and killed. ü The room A/C never worked really well and it was HOT and HUMID. (After a day of sightseeing and driving, this was a huge let-down.) ü The “Continental Breakfast” was substandard (for example, the bananas were over-ripe, brown and soft.) ü The charge for the room was supposed to be $119.00, $137.95 after taxes (all charges inclusive in the quoted price). It WAS NOT! After a room tax of $19.46, an L.A. Tourism Assessment Fee of $2.09 and a Parking Fee of $4.00 were added, the Total Bill charged to the Fishers was: $164.50. The revised total also included a $10.00 “extra person” charge for our grandson, Anthony. The hotel clerk insisted that the reservation was for 2 adults, not the 3 adults on our confirmed travel form. Sergio showed them the reservation and it clearly states “3 adults – total $137.95” for a room with 2-Queen Beds. They could not be convinced and added the additional $10.00 charge.
I didn't like nothing.
I didn't like everything.
Close to Union Station, China Town, Historic LA Pueblo and MOCA
A bit noisy. No drawers or shelves for unpacking.
In ability to communicate with staff
I thought everyone I dealt with was nice. I left my library book in my room and they sent it to me. I really appreciated that.
Loved the location to great pieces of LA's past - Union Station, Olvera Street, Phillippe.
The homeless ppl hanging about.
Near Union Station so easy access to the rest of LA.
Can be a bit noisy. Soda dispenser did not work.
location to Union Station, breakfast is decent, tacqueria next door, downtown location.
poor wifi, old, dingy look in hallways, lobby, but accepatable. not cheap for the quality - $137 for single, one night, weekday.
Was close to Union Station Amtrak so very convenient for us. Was very clean. Staff was helpful and polite.
Cheap stuff like smallest bar of soap I've ever seen. Bedding was cheap. Shampoo was so small only 1 of the 3 of us could use it.
Close to union station, breakfast included and clean!
Parking fee that was not clear when booking ($4 per day). No maps available from the hotel.
This hotel STILL takes credit card imprints for "guarantee of payment." PLEASE! Who does this any more? If it hadn't been midnight when I checked in, I would have left. There are more secure ways to manage customers credit card information!!! I won;t go there again!
noisy carpet in common area is dirty
