parking is easy to pull into.staff is nice. great beer bar right across the street. can walk to at&t. the area right around the hotel is sketchy but half a street down its nice and there are alot of cops around to keep the crazys down
Location is good, close to union square, but also too dirty area. Unfortunately.
Dirty pillows with stains.
The location could not be better, very easy to see the hole city. The hotel was nice and clean but getting a little tired.
wifi in my room was a blackspot
most staff very nice and friendly. lady on arrival did not smile once.
1. DO go back before 10 p. m. , the street corner close to the hotel is horrible! 2. no facility to heat up food
1. service, except for refusing to move two beds together 2. cleaner 3. hotel view 4. location
No refrigerator in the rooms, no breakfest
In the downtown, near subway station
The location of hotel is not so good. There are some noisy cars running outside in late nights.
almost everything unfortunately.
the location is near to Union Square
Couldn't sleep due to loud transients. Very noisy area. Fee for parking too high, or anything you want extra.
The screaming brat down the hall, but that is hardly the hotel's fault. Slightly pricy for what you get.
The hotel was on a street that was busy enough that we felt comfortable walking up and down Mason St at night as a group. And FarmerBrowns in the same building was fantastic for brunch the next day! (Hint: make a reservation. That place is popular.)
The elevator was out of service during our stay.
Location and the reception staff were excellent. I've been to a lot of hotels, the Metropolis reception staff are the best!
The area is TERRIBLE. Holy moly, if you don't know what the Tenderloin is in SF LOOK IT UP BEFORE BOOKING. Talk about crazy/scary person central. A few streets over everything becomes normal again but it's kind of scary to be there especially at night coming back from a bar or event. Take a car or taxi/uber don't walk. Watch yourself!
It was cheap and the inside of the hotel is actually pretty nice.
- noisy if you have window to the front - bed linen have been dirty ... - no breakfast for a lot of money
- friendly staff - spacious room
Didn't know til too late broken elevator . Heart condition couldn't make it up the stairs again a third time after I went out so only stayed halftime came back checked out in the morning
lots of noises surrounding building (lively neighborhood) very humid and hot- air conditioning or a fan would have been nice
Close to many things (restaurants, shopping, transit) Good location (a bit dodgy at times) but didn't feel unsafe Great, friendly, helpful staff small room but worked for my needs
The location is great because is close to the commercial area, but it gets a little dangerous when you go out on night.
The installations are pretty cool and clean, and the employees are really nice.
I liked the hotel's proximity to public transit and entertainment. This is not a location for people who are easily frightened by homelessness, teens and young adults hanging out. Reminded me of Alphabet City 15 + years ago. If you like the grit of the city, this is the perfect place!
No heat. Had to get a portable heater but other than that, everything was wonderful.
The affordable price and the comfort. Also very clean, and courteous staff. When I was cold, they didn't hesitate to bring me a portable heater. They also gave us good touring suggestions
I think I could have paid a little less for our one night
Loved the friendliness of the staff, the ease of reservation and payment.
Because our room was located in the end of the floor the WIFI was not working very well. Some Lobby employees have an attitude.
The comfort and convienenence
breakfast is just coffee/tea but we did not really mind! :-)
The hotel staff were amazing! So helpful and nice! The location is excellent!
staff was very dependant on shift (some were friendly, some were very unfriendly) car park was expensive
View from apartment! (top floor) Localization
For SF sightseeing is perfect, thou region between 5th and Mason has "original" residents.
