Business center p was down
The comforter on the bed. And the pillows were nice.
The lighting was way too bright, and have to get out of bed to turn them off. No switches handy in bed. The floors in the bathroom were dirty, with hair strands in the tub and on the floor. Didn't feel comfortable in the room, was a bit industrial feeling.
DID NOT HAVE OUR RESERVATION
Location is near to uncc campus
The room is too small for two kids
Location was okay we were there for the races
Our window in our room would not lock it was broken looked like someone tried to break into it . We advised management and they said they would.fix it and never did. It smelt like smoke in our non smoking room. When we were checking in they were advising people to leave who were caught with drugs. The shower sounded like it was going to explode.
Checking in and out was the easiest of all my hotel staying experiences. Everything was clean and comfortable. The price was great and the hotel was near everything I needed.
Wifi wasn't that great. It would say I was connected, but I wasn't.
Customer service was nice and the rooms were satisfactory.
We booked a room for 4 people and there were not enough towels. One would think that if you booked 4 people they would relay the message to the cleaning staff so we wouldn't have to keep going to the front desk to get an extra set.
Food was poor, unhealthy, few choices Understaffed Unwelcoming
Loved the staff. Loved the fact of down commforters on bed instead of the usual ratty bedspreads that most hotels use. Will use again everytime I am in area
Everything. People smoking weed in the elavator. Bad beds.
The smell of the room. It's smell the smoke of cigarette
I did like the location of the hotel. I was pretty much within 10 minutes to everything. From the track to the mall and restaurants. The staff was nice and the room was nice and clean.
I had arrived around noon on Friday, so I didn't like that there were no rooms available for a possible early check in; however I did understand since it was a race weekend. Also the wifi seemed a little weak so I just used my phone data instead.
Wi fi unsecured
Wifi was down for three days
Clean large room
Wifi was sketchy at first.
The downstairs staff were very nice.
Access to all food restaurants was terrible. We had to fight traffic everyday to get where we wanted to go.
Location & the staff were nice
No refridgerator or microwave in the room.. No glasses or plastic cups in the rooms
Location to my purpose in town.
1. room was tooooo small 2. smoked mirror on the headboard/wall 3. airconditioner smelled/humid - not cold 4. no towels upon arrival 5. 1 pillow for a queen bed 6. hair dryer did not work 7. cleaning staff did not speak English - didn't understand cherardes 8. noisy area - sirens all night
Price Location Beds and bathroom were clean
Smell of cigarettes in the room, it was horrible The carpet was filthy and old
I liked that none of my stuff was stolen.
The list is of dislikes is long. Upon my arrival, I was "greeted" with nothing but bad news. The elevator was broken, so I was told I was being placed on the bottom floor. Being new to Microtel, I had no idea what that meant. I didn't really care where I was placed, as long as I got the room I paid for. I upgraded to the larger deluxe room prior to checking in, so that's what I expected. As me and my wife walked in, we were greeted with an overpowering odor. It was a combination of smoke and mold, but the rooms were marked non-smoking. The room appeared clean, but it smelled horribly to the point of making my wife sick. As we started unpacking, we realized we didn't have the upgraded room. It was supposed to be almost 100 sq. feet larger than the "regular" room and include a microwave/fridge. This room did not appear 250 sq feet and it didn't include any amenities. The whole ordeal was frustrating, especially after driving for 6 hours straight from Florida. I went back to the desk and was greeted by Michael, I believe. Actually, I didn't consider it a greeting. His shirt was untucked and he gave me an attitude when I asked him a question... which he clearly didn't listen to, because he asked me an unrelated question following my question. After I told him I didn't get the upgraded room, he asked me to "go check again." I was baffled... extremely sore and tired, so I proceeded back to the room to find there was no microwave or fridge. The room was also not 250 sq ft. I walked back to the front desk and he switched us over to the room next door to it. This one smelled horribly as well, but it had the microwave/fridge. It was the same size, which was frustrating, but at this point, we were ready to crash. Before we lied on the bed, we unpacked our stuff and made a trip to Target to buy Damp Rid, Lysol, Febreeze, and scented candles.
Good for the money. Wasn't expecting much but it got job done
Room smelled weird, like cleaning supplies. Only door open was front and had to park in back. Walking around building was pretty dark
The staff was very helpful.
Ice machine not working
the staff was very helpful in providing assistance in whatever way needed, directions eateries, shopping etc.
It is hard to control what some patrons did in this hotel on our final night stay. The odor of weed was very strong near elevator on 2nd floor.
We a arrived around 3pm was promptly given Our room key. As I entered the dark room the first thing I noticed was how smokey the no smoking room was. I quickly realized that our room was occupied by another guest!! Luckily he was sleeping! This has never happened to us before! The lady at the desk quickly blamed the maid! I was in shock... She didn't apologize but kept blaming the maid. Which I found to be unprofessional! This same lady had told another person they had a room available but when the guest came right back in with her husband to check in, the other person at the desk had to them that they actuay were booked and had no rooms available !
It was a great place for the rate.
