I did not like anything about my stay at the milford plaza. I would not recommend it to anyone from Ireland. It is old and room was smelly.we asked for another room but that was the same. There are no facilities .do not waste your money .book a better hotel and enjoy new york.

In short, nothing except the location The front staff were friendly, the concierge perfect and helpful The beds were very good As I have stayed in several other us hotels in other cities, I expected a similar high standard here, but no, first we got a cupboard which in no way looked like the one on the Booking.com that I booked. I complained that it did not have 2 double beds, only one and we simply could not get the cases inside, the manager was called and we were allocated, after some remonstrating, another room on the same floor. It was bigger, but only enough to contain the second bed, There was a chair but no table for it, the wall paper is in a poor condition as if it is still the original. We did get a refrigerator in the end, but the maintaenace man, like myself, could not find a powerpoint for it. Several hours later and after another phone call,(the phone did not extend to other then the switch board) someone came with an powerboard. The bath room is simply not fit for people, apart from tiles missing on the floor, it is filthy along the door frames wich looks rotten, as does the door to what passes for a wardrobe.( 6 coathangers for 2 travellers is just not enough) There are no soap holders, only slippery china to put it on The curtain will not cover, it keeps spipping off the notch to hold it in the clip and keeps the room too light from outside. As we had switched room immediatedly, nobody had seemingly told the cleaners and we had to ask for the room to be made up the second day around 2200 hours The merry sound of the jack hammers below did not add to the ambience to get our baggage to the room, wich were not ready, as it was only 1000 am, I had to run a gauntlet of porters costing a lot in tips and the lady actually told us to go away for six hours, which we did. More tips to porters, one of which got rude when I said I would carry the bags down myself.

Nothing. The hotel is durty, rooms are poorly kept, walls are stained, shower is small, not ventilated and is totaly coverd with mould and fungi. The room was "so clean" that when my wife walked on the room carpet bare foot a pin got stuck in her foot.............. I would not recommend any one to choose the Milferd Plaza Hotel. It is a shame to the hotel industry of the usa that this hotel is part of the American hotel industry.

We liked the location. We found our room to be very small (much smaller than pictures on line or rooms at other hotels we have stayed at). Also there was no wastebasket in our room & we found someone else's garbage left in a drawer. The floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. However the bed was neat & clean.

I didnt like the renovated room that I booked as it was very small and not worth the money. I didnt like the fact that I had to pay for my bags to be stored for a couple of hours .

Good location - very small and old looking bedroom, shower with not-operational temp control, changing from hot to cold waves, bathroom to small, only one power sup for the room, heating system not working, in reservation was mentioned that no deposit will be charged but hotel charged me 160$ over

I liked the location and price The room was small, furniture very outdated, bathroom was worse than a public one, elevators were annoying, couldn't check in until 4pm, charge of 12 dollars for holding bags even after we stayed there was very wrong!

I booked to stay 8 nights, but only stayed one because of the poor condition of the room. The beds were more like cot bed and in the bathroom they did not even offer shampoo. For the same price or maybe a little less I moved to the New Yorker which is on the same ave. at 34st instead of 45 (which is pretty much same location, but better convenience for subway and the rooms .... well .... way different )

Location of the Hotel was ideal and very close to Time Square. Hotel staff were only ok. Room sizes were tiny and our initial room had an adjoining door to another room but we asked to be moved when the people next door made a lot of noise at 3am. Hotel staff were helpful enough to move us and we got a nice room then albeit you couldn't swing a cat in it!!!

This hotel was great in every way. It´s cheap and cheerful. Great value for money. We were lucky we got a new refurbished twin room, the beds were double beds and very comfortable.Plasma TV in the room. The view from the room was amazing with the lights of the city. We could walk to all the sights from this hotel.I spoke to a lady who was staying in the hotel and she was not happy with her room, she did not get a refurbished room.

I really enjoyed the view and location. The hotel backs up to times square. The staff was horrible and I was told many different versions of the same thing. The room was very noisy and very small. There was a huge gap between the door and floor so you could see people go by in the hall. You could hear everything going on in the other rooms and at 9am the room next door to us started undergoing construction of some kind and there was serious banging like hammering going on.

Ask for a refurbished room. They are very nice. The location is the best (in the corner there is a subway station and one block away from time square). Good cost-benefit.

I loved the location, in the middle of manathan, Time Square, Herald Square, Madison Square Garden, Theatres you con visit all of them by a short walk. Very convenient. Nice room design (renovated) Renovated room: stage 23, my room smelled very bad all week end, odors from wc, shower...piping also need to be renovated! Phonic isolation inexisting, you sleep with your neightboor.... Business center just a scam :1$/ scan.....5$ If you need to print 01 document... Internet wifi access daily charge 15$...huge....huge

Combination of location, price, and have stayed there previously. The renovated room was comfortable and the design was good with respect to renovation of an older building despite the bathroom being compact. Although coffee was available and good at the lobby shop, a coffee maker in the room would have been a good amenity.
