Love the proximity to SF and Mill Valley. Easy fwy access. Pretty surroundings and lovely walking path nearby on a picturesque marsh. Friendly and accommodating staff (esp Joanne!) Terrific organic Italian restaurant next door (Frantoia) and great organic coffee shop& bakery just a minute's drive away (Proof Lab) next to the local surf shop.
Hot water in shower at peak times took awhile to get hot...
We were in the area for a local trail race, and the location of this hotel was great for our event. The hotels breakfast service was wonderful with many items available. The staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our clean, spacious pool view room with balcony.
Very pretty and spacious room. attendant up front I believe Joanne was amazing! Bathrooms small but clean and room service was very good. TV was huge with easy entertainment hook ups that the hubby was sad he didn't bring his ps4.bike rides along the bay and close to the beach must go hiking!
Room needed a good dusting. balcony had lots of spider webs and was cramped
Minutes from SF, no charge for parking, great staff, great facilities and easy reach to wine country.
Location is great for people who want to be away from the city (San Francisco), and planned to visit Muir woods and its surrounding beaches; Muir Beach, Stanson Beach, Baker beach, and much more. The hotel facilities are above average. Staff are friendly. Free wifi and breakfast.
No elevator if your room is on the top level. No one will help you with your luggages, so be prepared.
Fantastic access to Richardson Bay trails & wildlife & excellent Italian restaurant.
Staff was great , breakfast good, clean room
The running/walking/biking path that I could take into Mill Valley. Also very nice restaurant next door & good selection of breakfast items.
Restaurant next door was excellent-- service, ambience and food!
Good location handy to 101 and just north of SF. Great complimentary breakfast.
Location , quiet place
Internet , price
The room was decent. Big TV with a nice power panel for charging devices, etc.
Parking lot was extremely full late at night and had to park far away from room.
We had intended to stay in Sausalito itself, but waited too late to book for a holiday weekend. However, this hotel was a good option and --- even though not cheap --- probably a good price for the area.
one wing faces the highway...very noisy rooms. rooms in general: noisy - through closed doors noise from the room across the hall was heard...as if it was from our room. Really noisy rooms. Old rooms - the AC/heating units are old style, smelly. Staff were not overly helpful. For the price, I expect staff to be helpful and rooms to be quiet.
It appears that the person up stairs, 3 nights, had very heavy feet and the clomping was not pleasant. Also when we booked we requested a king bed, however when we got there it was not available, told they had a "large group" was that what was upstairs? We have family in Mill Valley and come often.
Comfort Parking Location, Wifi -- all good
For the price, the breakfast was really cheap and routine. There is a card at each table suggesting eggs but none were available; knife & fork of plastic and plates of cardboard made for a very unwelcoming feel. Unimaginative food. No staff available to provide a steel knife to cut an apple with.
Loved the bikes you could borrow and ride along the many trails nearby. The breakfast was also very nice.
The room was a bit dated and had a slight musty smell. Also, the signs warning about hazardous building materials were a little alarming.
Lovely pool and hot tub. Great location if you want a quieter place from which to do day trips into San Francisco. Remember to set up the online credit card account for driving south over the Golden Gate Bridge.
Disappointing front of house staff - it's not much effort to smile and offer a warm welcome at the start of a guest's stay and the lack of it colored our visit. The cooked items of the breakfast spread need improving.
The beds were very comfortable Breakfast was good.
Check out the bathroom in room number 14. Tile floor very grungy. Needs a good cleaning. Bathtub had a bath mat glued down to bottom of tub. Unsanitary looking Part of wall near tub needs repair We stay at Holiday Inn Express often Would not stay at this one again. Looks worn and tired. Did you take over an older motel and do a quick makeover? This property is not at all like we expected of Holiday Inn. Sorry - but you asked Carole & Bill
Good facilities, inc pool, bikes, wifi.
Corridors a bit musty
Price on Friday
Great location, and the restaurant attached was unexpectedly very good. Staff was friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean.
It is closer to Stinson than our house, they have s'mores at night and a pool...and the restaurant next door - Frantoio- is one of the most interesting in the bay area...
Proximity to San Francisco
Didn't like the fact that the freeway exit and the parking lot were under sea level and flooded every evening. Forced to drive my car in salt water. Also, was charged for 2 bottles of Crystal Geyser water @ $5.99 ea. even though we didn't use them. When I called to report this issue, was treated like I was lying.
