Loved room, view, cleanliness, super helpful friendly staff, only 6 subway stops from Times Square, price was reasonable nice comfy bed, super nice sheets. Really really great!!!
55 to pay to park, but that should be expected in NYC
Staff was very professional and well trained. The check-in clerk was helpful and asked about our room preferences. The bartender in the restaurant was friendly and attentive. The doormen paid attention to guests needs. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, although the hallway carpets looked like they could use a vacume.
The TV system was confusing and annoying trying to maneuver through channels. The guide didn't tell what was on, only what channels were available. Too much pushing expensive movies for purchase.
My 10year old & I traveled as his Christmas present to see NY other than a Yankees game. He's a history buff & loved being able to see World Trade Center site from our amazing view. Staff was so helpful, pleasant and fun! We can't wait to stay there again. Thank you for making his Christmas one he will always remember!!
Extremely expensive restuarant and room service - prohibitive.
The views from the 34th floor were amazing!!! The elevators ran like magic and we never had to wait. The location of the hotel was perfect. Cabs weren't too hard to get and staff were johnny on the spot ready to help with hailing one.
The bartender was about as unfriendly as anyone could be and the service in the restaurant was very slow and including tip $60 for two burgers is silly. Parts of the hotel weren't as clean as they should have been. The room was either way too hot or way too cold no matter what setting the thermostat was on. Lastly, $12.95 a day for Internet service... Just because you can make a buck off of a customer doesn't mean you should... Especially in a $500 a night hotel.
Service was great views are amazing
I didnt like the fact that we only stayed one night.
Close to the financial district, and the 911 Memorial.
Rooms share an A/C unit, so when the guest adjacent began smoking cigarettes, the smoke also came into my room. Staff intervened when called, but this happened two evenings running. Bar facilities are very limited to the 3rd floor with about a dozen seats in a brightly-lit area. On the ground floor, where you can obtain drinks from the bar area, there are no bar snacks available (have to go to the 3rd floor). Staff attention on the ground floor is exceptionally poor. Disappointing food service from the 3rd floor restaurant, overcooked, and with steak, which should be excellent, as tough as old boots. Probably best avoided if you can.
view & location
stayed junior suite, sofa bed was really horrible. felt really pricy
Great location, price was good, bed spotlight fixture provides great entertainment for shadow puppets.
The ventilation was very loud and throughout the night intermittently produced a very loud, low pitched, vibration noise that basically kept me up until 4am. Was not very happy about that.
Awesome view definitely worth paying for. Bed is good but small for a king size. Good range of tv channels. Location is extremely good. Great lobby and awesome concierge personnel. Although some negative points listed below I'm definitely considering going back.
Hate the way they look at my puppy even though it's a documented service dog, seemed like I was doing something wrong. A/c is pretty noisy but works. Breakfast is poor and expensive, but not an issue as there's a lot of diners at a walking distance. Bathroom needs update asap.
Helpfulness of the staff
Heated indoor pool
Customer service, very friendly people
The air con was constantly on even when it was switched off!?
Room had nice view over Manhattan
Breakfast was hugely overpriced since the buffet was miniscule and included only very basic stuff, e.g. only salami as cold cuts.
Poor TV reception and no HD. No internet free of charge in the room.
Front desk and concierge did not pick up the hotel phone once when I called.
King junior suite had plenty of space for us and we didn't feel crowded, not even after shopping and bringing back our bags-- the views of world trade center were incredible -- fast elevator -- did not use housekeeping but they were friendly when passing-- fast check-in/check out-- close to subway locations
No free wi-fi.. you would think in a hotel such as the Hilton, and for the price per night, especially in the financial district where more people stay for business the wi fi would be included! !!!! No help with bags upon arrival
everything else was great
i got sick from the room service food, ordered turkey club, they said turkey was not ok so subbed with chicken, get very sick that night
- The location was amazing. We had an incredible view of the 9/11 memorial from our room. We were also close to subway stops and the financial district It was a pleasant walk to the Brooklyn Bridge and boats leaving for the Statue of Liberty - Concierge, Luis, went above and beyond in helping us!
Breakfast was very expensive.
Excellent facility. Staff were very pleasant and helpful
The room was spacious, great location, staff was nice and helpful.
We left the room in the afternoon hoping that we would have room service to clean the room but when we returned nothing was done. That was somewhat disappointing. The room was a little over priced because it seem a little outdated.
Lobby is small
Good location, miles from Times Square and a quick drive to Brooklyn. Some of the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. Very accommodating. The interior was clean and swanky.
I felt as though the room was a little overpriced. The hotel was very quiet and in a great location but feel like it should have been $40-$60 less per night at least .
Comfortable bed and room. Price was average. Great location.
Scheduled a massage; The therapist had no oil, no sheets. This is an outside service and she was not prepared at all. Housekeeping provided LOTION and a TOWEL. for the massage. Don't book a massage. Mini bar had an open beer that was half gone which we were charged for. They did credit us. Prices in restaurant were above average.
