Good location, nice views, good size room In need of refurbishment. Major overhaul of rooms needed. Tired looking. Empty, rusty minibar. Qualified recommendation |

Convenient location to Theatre district and shopping areas Our room was in the section that is not renovated, and therefore, not as spacious and bright as the one we had 2 years ago. |

Excellent location, close to Chrysler Building, Empire State Building and Grand Central. Numerous eating possibilities within a block. Spacious, convenient room. Grotesque lobby. And last but not least: the magnificent view from our room, you won't believe your eyes. We stood in awe each and every time. Internet is too expensive: 12,95 $ per 24 hrs. They tried to charge us a candy consumption which we didn't have upon check-out. But ultimately, the invoice was changed. All well that ends well... |

I loved the generous size of my room -- especially that you provided an easy chair with a reading lamp! Also, the views from my room were wonderful. Convenient location. I hadno cell phone service in my room. I was disappointed that wifi was not free. |

Amazing view, although be warned you may get a view of the East River and Queens and not Manhatten. Nicely furnished rooms and lovely pool. The pool shuts at 7pm during weekdays (not the advertised 10pm). No ice box in room or mini bar/fridge. |

the staff is always great the room service cover charge -- it's absurd that each person that orders has to pay a cover charge along with a gratuity |

A luxe hotel built in the 40's, but very well maintained, special atmosphere. Superbe bed! Very good breakfast, with a lot of fresh fruit every day (melon, strawberries...). The swimming pool on the 27th floor is so great, magnificent views. Grand Central Station within 300 meters, so location of the hotel is sublime. Friendly staff, newspaper at your door every day... |

Excellent location, only 20 mins walk from Time Square, Central Park etc. Great view and room was very clean. Also there was very quiet, so no traffic noises. Staff (or some of them) seemed sometimes quite unprofessional, smile would have been nice. |

The hotel is across the UN building. Our room had a splendid view of Manhattan and East River. The location of the hotel is very good, in the heart of the city. It's 15 minutes walk to Grand Central. There are many coffee shops and delis within a block around the hotel. The fact that there wasn't a hot water kettle, coffee and tea in the room was a (minor) annoyance. |

For the money, it was great. The bed was comfortable. The fitness room was really good. the iron did not work, and I was there on business so I needed it. The hand shower did not work, although the bathroom was very nice. There was no coffee making in the room, and a cup of coffee from room service cost $13. A bit ridiculous. The pool was closed by the time I got to it. |

Staff exceptionally helpful, friendly and accomodating Lack of some basic facilities in the room which I would normally expect from a hotel of this calibre: e.g. small kettle for boiling hot water, small sachets of tea/coffee/sugar/milk to accompany them. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Bit overpriced but I appreciate we stayed in New York! |
