great views, great location, nice gym and pool overlooking the east river, friendly staff.
No wi fi, expensive breakfast, this hotel is tired, needs a refurbish. No way is it a four star.
No free wifi
The hotel is very old and the rooms are too small and you not not get a sense that you are in a premium hotel. For the price I could have book somewhere away from the city and got better service. They woke us up at 9 am for housekeeping check out is at 12pm. Come on man
They try their best to give great satisfaction to clients.
They don't have weighing scale for our luggages.
Only the view
The staff in the reception was the worst staff I have be seen ever,, and also concierge,, so I'm not recommend that hotel for anybody,,
We loved the location and the panoramic view. The staff were amazing and helpful.
The bathrooms were not cleaned properly. They smelled and there was orange mould. We stayed with three women who needed mirrors and there were only mirrors in the bathroom. It made it very difficult to get ready.
Staff extremely pleasant and helpful (especially since we are from Boston!)
A bit of a walk to subway/public transportation
Everything was very clean. Great customer service, all the staff very professional but yet very friendly. Close to everything. I would definitely stay again.
Good location with a nice view, staff was friendly.
Shower did not get hot, and the hair dryer did not start.
Excellent customer service nothing too much trouble Amazing views Free upgrade to room in west tower and club privileges of free breakfast/refreshments/cocktails
Location - a little bit off the main tourist areas but everything within a decent distance
The lobby was very modern and the staff were helpful. The amenities were nice. Our room had great view on NYC
The furnishings in the room were old. Even the a/c has knobs? No remotes? Too expensive for its value, i should have paid less. I found it ridiculous that i had to pay for wifi, but then again it's new york? Everything's expensive there.
Price, location, comfort
West tower is getting a bit grubby...just a bit too used...time for some new carpets in halls perhaps?
the quiet comfort and views of the upper floors.
Reception and check out is almost always a tedious wait, it seems to be under staffed at the busiest times of the day.
service from concierge excellent. fabulous view from room (3522) children loved having a pool.
room decor little tired
very narrow double bed, 130cm wide only
Good central location and great views from our room looking uptown and across to Brooklyn.
There was no water provided in the room and my room service request for water never turned up. The room decor is starting to look a little dated, though I suppose that is reflected in the lower rate.
Cost of bar drinks, internet charge. Hotel needs a refurb
Location is nice, at walking distance of Grand Central, Times Square and other points of interest. Nevertheless, the closest subway station is 10 minutes walking, what can be a problem with heavy luggage,
Altough in the reservation appeared as 'superior room with extralarge bed', space was so limited, and the room wasn't definitely 'superior'. Views were also limited.
- Hotel front desk, was a bit old school. The mirrors behind the Front desk allowed me to see all the cluster and mess the staff have at the front desk. - Room did not have a fridge or a microwave.
Cant complain about nothing.
Just one of the elevator stop on the 36 floor n we press on 37 floor n it look it like it was gonna drop down. Very scary that i got to see my boyfriend face 4 the first time like omg we going down. Beside that the places was beautiful n everything was so close.
Spacious room Lovely view Decor in new wing was super
Decor in old wing was tired Valet parking 20% more expensive than neighboring garages Wifi is expensive - it should be free Door staff lacking in charm Failed to respond to request to find and return lost property
Everything expensive, for example 1 USD each copy in the business center!
Location - 5 minute walk from Grand Central station, flat rate from/to JFK for cab. Citybike stand in 50 mtrs. View is astonishing and compares to what you get from climbing the Top Of the Rock:)
Personnel seemed quite relaxed and unwelcoming. Maybe they expected tips for every move they make but I support the rule first you do then I thank, not vice versa. The bartender and bell boy were great though. But anyway - the location and the view do compensate.
Valet and bell service were great. Most front desk staff were very friendly. Loved the view from the 34th floor!
No in and out privileges. Ridiculous. Parked for 2 days. $48! When I needed to retrieve items from my valet parked car I had to walk several blocks to a parking garage, then down to the bottom where my car was parked in a huge puddle. I could have done that for way less than $48
