My door key never worked. One of the hotel staff came to open the door but the. When I tried to leave my card key still didn't work.
Not close to activities
Lobby arears, Xmas decorations, lounge food
Carpet joints in room were ragged; spotted (soiled) chair
the building the place in the down town
The historical building. The decorations. Smoking rooms The best restaurant ever although they serve pork only on the breakfast menu and I don't eat it. Not enough varieties although it's expensive.
I was shocked once I stepped into the room. Too tiny. No minibar. It resembles prison cells that appear on tv. Not related to what I saw through your site. I went down to complaint and they changed the room and added an empty fridge to the new room. It was a little better than the first one but still not up to what I expected and to what the hotel from the outside and it's inside decorations imply. I wanted to change it on the spot but I was flying for more than 22 hours and wanted to rest. The bathroom was too old. You should see the toilet, sink and shower. No towel holders next to the sink. A very tiny shelf to put all your stuff. No shelf near the shower. The bathroom door doesn't close properly. The windows were with metallic bars as if you are in a prison. The windows are extremely dirty. The concierge made me feel they are tourists like me. No valuable advice or recommendation were given. I googled everything and used Yelp. The shop inside is too expensive.
No coffee cups in room. Heater did not work, fan blew cold air into the room and front desk had to send a tech to fix it. Inconvenient. No bottled water available in the room. Dirty windows/window sill. Tired room.
The hotel has great history and character. The staff were friendly & helpful, the room clean & comfortable. The brasserie (Bugis Street) was great with attentive staff, good sized portions and very reasonable prices. Accessible by Dart Bus from Union Station or Metro which also gave a means to get to Hollywood Blvd (Chinese Theatre/Walk of fame)
No issues at all.
Because of some other reviews and hotel descriptions, there are no troubles or problems for our stay.
Great location in the downtown, wonderful lobby and access to some facilities. Rooms confortable.
The old feeling of the building. The room was a nice size.
Rude guests walking around in their underwear in the lobby and conveniently no one that worked there saw this.
Very comfortable and clean hotel. Location is great for business.
If you are visiting for touristic purposes, it's pretty far away from Hollywood and other attractions. Parking is very expensive.
It's a beautiful propery and the building is well maintained. The staff is warm and friendly.
It's hard to imagine a large four-star hotel that doesn't offer some sort of room service 24 hours a day. The Millennium shuts down at 10 pm. This service failure is made even more significant by the lack of any neighborhood stores/markets/restaurants.
Location, Architecture, historical significance of the property.
Guest rooms were not upto standard expectations
Wonderful trip into the past with the 1920s architecture and decor
Elevators are pretty iffy, bedroom decor needs updating.
Grandeur of the building
Had to receive a letter posted to the Biltmore Millennium Hotel, but this letter could not be traced until our departure. Sent e-mail to the Hotel after departure to check whether the letter has been found but did not receive any feed back from the concierge or management in charge. Very disappointed!!
Location, Atmosphere, elegance, cleanliness
Contruction on Third floor and above us. Woke us up at 6:00am with banging and clanging. After three calls, they offered to move us up to 10th floor where rooms were more up to date.
Small beds and bathroom facilities Six elevators and only three worked, couldn't find the stairs
The common facilities are what makes this hotel a pleasant experiece. Lots of LA history here. The location is close to the Music Center and Disney Hall, but you have to hoof it up a hill to get there. Take a Taxi.
1. The internet is not free. This is a big issue for those doing business. 2. The room was big, too big for the furnishings in it. There was pleanty of room for a sofa and coffee table. There was one chair and a desk chair. Very uncomfortable. 3. The hotels immediate location is in Skid Row, next to Persing Square. Thankfully, it is changing for the better.
Ambience history of the hotel
The bar and music and the breakfast buffet.
The service in the restaurant for dinner was poor and the food was extremely average. The gift shop (jewelry) was closed with a sign on the door to call the jeweler if you wanted to make a purchase. No one ever called us back.
The room was reasonable but had issues . The architecture and furnishings of the hotel takes you back to days of a bygone era
I have stayed at the Biltmore in the past (pre Millennium Copthorne) Room was ok but had coffee cup ring stains on table. Arrived late at night and was told that no food was available and 2 menus were thrust into my hand and so not knowing the city I was reduced to ordering Pizza to be delivered - not what I would have expected in a hotel of such standing. 6 hotels during our stay in USA (incl 1 Econo lodge) and this one was the only 1 to charge for wifi, not impressed. It appears they are driven by cost saving. Looking forward to having a drink in the sports bar, closed not used anymore. Would I stay there again, NO, not at $200 per night.
The staff were outstanding. Very helpful and pleasant. Beautiful old hotel.
The location is good with mostly everything in downtown LA in walking distance. Good value for money in a beautiful historical building.
Historical building is both good and bad as some things would benefit from some sort of renovation (windows were dirty and hard to open, etc.). The in-room internet is $9/day and slow in peak hours.
Great value for money Staff in the cafe were really lovely to my self and my son
Excellent location...close to the Metro, pubs and restaurants. Interior of the hotel is beautiful...craftmanship is something you don't see in modern architecture
My only complaint was the air conditioning..very weak! It was a very warm day in LA, and the A/C just couldn't keep up. Made the room uncomfortably warm, even at night. Didn't make for a good night's sleep.
