the room was ok for the price, need a little repairs on the shower doors
that was no dinner ,or room service for been a hotel by Michigan av.
location, price, staff, security, I travel a lot and this is about as good as it gets
Sheryl the concierge was most helpful with spa in area and other services and remembered us from previous stay. General Manager Angel was also quite helpful and proactive with a small issue from the booking.com reservation. Craig our bellman was quite friendly.
Booking.com made some type of error and caused confusion with scheduling 2 separate reservations which was not noted on our confirmation.
Door man helpful and nice. Very clean.
Not enough surface room for makeup and getting ready. Needs more furniture. Wish they offered complimentry fresh coffee.Pricey car valet parking.
The staff was nice.
Everything else room was not cleaned what so ever. Rooms way to tiny. Bed sheets were felt like plastic. View was terrible. Just a very depressing hotel to be in wouldn't do it again.
Boogers on my duvet cover, lack of room service, malfunctioning computer that stored the food menu for take out, lack of wifi, hair in shower, tub did not drain, annoyed guest service staff sans the guy that delivered our bathrobe, missing bathrobe, rooms did not cancel noise, line for elevator and stairs shut down due to wedding which is fine but inconvenience for other guests etc.
Time it took valet to retrieve car, room temp, water pressure. Knowledge of front desk.
Most everything! The rooms were updated but the hotel is very old. The staff was attentive and beyond pleasant.
The room was on the small side and the valet parking was very expensive.
I would like to have free WiFi.
location is fantastic
still a beautiful historic hotel, but needs updating of finishes.
Location Room was clean
No room service Paying for wifi Coming back to the room at 5pm and the room wasn't made up Trying to print my boarding pass but the printer was broken. Reception told me to email & they would print and have it waiting at 5am the next morning when I left but it hadn't been done. Would not go back.
Bar and music
The hotel bar was nice, as was the staff. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Elevators were cool. Pretty historic hotel.
I did not like the shower. The water never got hot or even what I would call warm. Did not like the rain showerhead feature.
The location is excellent located near the magnificence mile. In addition the room was very comfortable and the staff was great!
Staff were very knowledgable and professional. Bed SUPER comfortable. Recommend the suite.
Basic cosmetics needed. Carpet in hallway needed to be replaced. Only three small elevators so you might wait a bit to get down to the lobby.
Parents had room 1021 which was an excellent room and a good bed.
The bed in room 300 was very poor and the room looked a little beaten up compared to room 1021 that parents were in.
If you can walk near everything. ie art institute, lots of shops and food.Traditional hotel with history. Lobby music and cheap drinks/tapas on a Thurs.
didn't have a bath.so ask for one otherwise nice shower
charming and romantic weekend needed and was found at the Knickerbocker!
I booked a king room last minute and upon arrival they upgraded me to the presidential suite. No extra costs. Dry cleaning service was super fast and staff was very friendly. Clean room as well.
Wifi connection was a little hard to connect at times but not a deal breaker.
I have come back to the knickerbocker many times because of the hospitality. One of the best hotels in downtown Chicago area!
Wifi isn't free.
The staff we encountered were very friendly and open to any questions. The concierge desk was superb with direction, advice and booking side trips. Great awareness of restaurants and nightlife.Management has surrounded itself with a very capable staff!!!
Given the cost of the rooms one would expect wifi to be in all rooms at no expense. Ten dollars per day for a few minutes use is a little over the top in my opinion. Wifi in the lobby was free and accessible but inconvenient.
The location of the hotel was perfect .Staff were just so good you could ask them anything and they went out of there way to help you.We would definitely go back .Highly recommended Janet and Michael from Ireland
Staff were extremely attentive and excellent...... especially Craig the bellboy who was wonderful!!!
Great location for shops and restaurants. Just off the main drag so reasonably quiet
Noisy fridge in room, easy to unplug!
