    I was in Chicago with my wife for my daughter's wedding. We spent 10 nights at the hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Very convenient location, excellent service with good value for money spent. We had other 7 rooms all together with family and friends for two to six nights and they all enjoyed their stay at the hotel.

    Staff was friendly and helpful. The bartender helped us with where to go and made great martinis!

    The air conditioning was quite loud.

    Clean, well decorated

    Coffee shop only open till 2 and not early enough. Would have liked coffee at 6. Concierge and people at the front door was not very welcoming. They were OK.

    Good location if you buy pass for the hop on/hop off doubledecker. There is a stop near by and it easy to explore the city this way. Also there are good places to eat around.

    Everything is good. The room and toilet are very clean, hygienic. Staff is very polite and friendly. The location is excellent. Lot of good places to see.

    The checkout time was slightly inconvenient for me. I kept by luggage with the staff for few hours. But that is not a big issue.

    Very affordable, had a good appetizer at the bar one night, though it took a long time to prepare. The bartender checked on it for me several times without my needing to ask. Nice front desk clerk in Lawrence. My room was quiet while I was there Monday-Friday night. I could also see a small section of the beach from my window. I liked the location at the very north end of Michigan Ave because it was a tiny bit away from the big crowds there, but still very central to many places I wanted to go and for traveling to and from the airport on the CTA.

    Housekeeping didn't restock the one can of diet coke in the minifridge one day-which is my "coffee" in the morning. A small annoyance. A little wear and tear on the room-spots on carpet, bolster pillow had torn seam, scuff on cabinet, bed made 5 nights straight with a flat sheet on the mattress that didn't meet the bottom of the king sized bed (which being tall, made me uncomfortable putting my feet directly on the mattress pad at the bottom, germ-wise, and overly warm on the feet rather than a cool sheet) and only two small drawers for clothing storage. Nothing that would keep me from going back, but small details could be improved.

    When we arrived they asked why we're visiting told them it was our 30th wedding Anniverisary they gave us a free room upgrade plus 2 free drinks at the bar. All the staff very friendly & helpful. Hotel very clean & no waiting for the elevators. Located close to a lot of Chicago activities. Would stay there again very good experience!

    The staff was amazing and the restaurant in the hotel was wonderful for breakfast. The hotel has loads of charm.

    We had an adjoining room with in-laws and the doors didn't fully shut and lock. Our in-laws double bed room was late but our king bed room was cramped with a chair they squeezed in there. Also, the bathroom is tiny and the water pressure is terrible and I had a cold shower most of the time.

    Staff &location

    Maid missed request for towel turn over-- used out, clean in. We adjusted our tip to not cover that day's lapse. We were too tired to follow up our request so we went with the flow.

    Position could not have been better .The room was very good ,Staff were helpful and friendly .

    Breakfast was not great value .Free wifi was only in the lobby but it was not a major problem as we had 3 G

    All interactions with all staff. Location, price with Booking.com.

    AC went out 3rd night of 3 day stay. Fortunately, the weather was cooler than normal and with the help of fan the staff brought to us - it wasn't a big inconvenience. Staff on duty were great. Apologized, tried to reset AC twice and offered to move us to another room or bring fan. The fan worked fine. We were provided breakfast vouchers for our inconvenience. Great service!

    Location was excellent, nice rooms (although I had an outdated ripped leather chair in mine). Beautiful hotel.

    The hotel seemed understaffed, there was only 1 guy helping with luggage on checkout, so we had to wait a while, he ended up dropping our luggage of downstairs and then disappeared, he was extremely overwhelmed with work. Also when I called concierge to inquire about about getting hot water, they really weren't sure what to tell me, eventually directed me to get it myself from the restaurant. Although the rooms are equipped with complimentary tea bags? Really that was my only complaint, understaffed hotel, and not very knockledgeable or eager concierge.

    I didn't like the $75/day hold charge to my credit card since I didn't use any services but I do understand why the hotel may do this.
