    The staff were very friendly, the room was great with an amazing view. The cooked breakfast was worth the extra money it was fantastic and set us up for the day.

    We asked for recommendations for bars to visit and tbh they were rubbish. Luckily I was with a NYC native so we found some better ones. Remember to tip at check in or you get a bit of a lecture at check out.

    I loved the room, very beautiful and spacious. Also, very helpful bell staff.

    Location New interiors of the room

    The service from housekeeping to managers was appalling . Our glasses and cups were cleaned only once during our eight day stay. Every single day we had to phone reception upon arrival to ask that our glasses and cups be changed. ???? I thought this was standard?? I complained to management and it was different manager and all three of them would ask me to tell the story anew as there was no record of my complaint. We were instructed by a Chinese maid to take our own used shopping bags and dispose of them as she needed to open the cupboard . We reported this to management and there was not a single record. To me the hotel was a two star service hotel.

    We had to wait for over five hours to get the key. Staff keep ask us to wait for half hour and go back to ask them they told us to wait and wait. we wasted over five hour waiting.

    Rooms were cosy & comfortable with good staff to look after. Calm & quiet area over all.

    Lifts are rather getting old. Ski line lounge was for $25 that provides very poor breakfast with almost no variety and no eggs. Evening refreshment of one or 2 variety and same repeated the week over. No consideration for muslims & vegetarians food. Generally the lower staff almost fights for their tip even for smaller things. No locks in bathrooms door.

    it's great if you need to go for business in the UN area. I come often here; with the renovation this hotel has improved a lot.

    all ok. business center a bit basic. If you plan holidays this area of midtown is slightly unconvenient.

    The Sky lounge for breakfast and an early evening glass of wine was fantastic. The staff there were superb and nothing was a problem. Made us feel really welcome. Same for the chambermaids. Always polite and courteous.

    By contrast, having arrived at the hotel a little stressed from Manhattan driving, the Bellman was helpful in getting my family's luggage together out of my rental, but became very cheeky (almost aggressive..) when only given a couple of dollars (all I had at the time) for his services. Not a great welcome to the hotel and I was very disappointed to the point of almost considering leaving. This is a front of staff position and frames my immediate opinion of the entire hotel. The pool attendant (well the guy at the pool that was on his phone all the time) was also very rude to my kids when they were splashing around. A quite word would have been more appropriate.

    The staffs were extremely helpful from front desk Barry to bell man Frank and Nicole who was very attentive to my family's request .

    The air condition is on some kind of timer which flicks on and off thru the nights . So had to wake up several times in the night to turn it back on as it got warm during the night.

    the view from our room was excellent. The amenities in the room were first rate. The decor of the hotel and of our rooms was almost as shown in the pictures. The place feels very important

    The service staff was slow, almost every time we needed to speak to the desk there was only one person there and an older woman who appeared to be a manager on the phone who never raised a hand to help a huge line of customers. The desk staff was also a bit unkind and cold, while the doormen were a class act. Housekeeping rings the doorbell at 8am to ask if they can clean the room - a bit early if you ask me!

    Views were stunning. Location very good. Close enough to everything, but far enough away from the busy tourist areas to be quiet. Rooms were nice enough, but not 5 Star Not too expensive if you get a deal price, but their own website offers a standard deal that matches the special offers on booking.com anyway

    Service was terrible, staff were rude. They messed up the room, downgraded us and didn't offer a refund. Poor security. Showers were cheap and didn't match the expensive walk-in cubicle. Bad finish to the room, no power sockets where they should have been, ironing board missing, no milk in the coffee bits etc...

    Great Room

    Staff were rude and generally uniformed - we asked a question regarding the breakfast included in our room fee and were directed to three different people, none of whom seemed to be entirely sure what the right answer was. Very few staff spoke English and those who did were more interested in chatting with co-workers than dealing with queries. Sniffer dogs checking luggage before you enter hotel.
