Proximity to the office. Spacious room. Fantastic view. Very comfortable bed. Very helpful, friendly doorman with good restaurant recommendations.
The bar is absolutely characterless and uninviting. The reception staff (with the exception of one or two) are not very welcoming.
Excellent location, wonderful views and large and comfortable rooms
Room service was not so good and seemed to be forced to do the job assigned
Ease of booking...staff - door man and bellhops came right up to the car ....immediately (even though it was freezing out 8 degrees wind chill) to help my wife, my daughter and my mother-in-law (92) who just flew in from England like we were family...front desk was quick and we were whisked to our rooms. Security was outstanding when I locked us out of the adjoining rooms when the door sprung shut....patience of a saint.
Wish that we could have stayed longer.....
Loved the location and the room. The VIP lounge on the 30th floor was brilliant and the staff here in particular we're excellent. Very hospitable.
That I was charged an absolute fortune for laundry. Soured the trip. Nearly 200 dollars for pants, socks, some jeans and 2 tops!
lovely room and view; helpful staff
Staff were excellent, nothing was to much trouble
the views are the best thing
all properties in Manhattan are outrageously overpriced; so this one, which is merely overpriced, seems like a bargain.
39th floor room
Room didnt face the city, i asked for a table and two chairs in the room but they said none were available. Told them we were on our honeymoon and they didn't care.
Love the look of the hotel very good entrance and public areas. Rooms are very good stayed in same room on 40th floor wonderful views of Empire State and Chrysler buildings.
The first time we stayed had access to the Skyline Club in the evenings this time when we went there we were told that it was now $50 extra. This had not been communicated earlier and bearing in mind the Swimming pool was still not in use I felt this could have been waived
I liked everything at the hotel from the location and to the room service. It is definitely the best option may can buy.
The room was perfect It was me and 3, 15 year old girls that loved it.
Parking charged me over the quote. Said my charger was oversized. But did give me the over charge refund when I stood my ground.
The view 'city view' was amazing !
We booked a corner room , it was well appointed and the view was amazing, it made our trip to New York
the staff were very ambivalent at reception and the concierge service was poor.
Bed Was comfortable
Staff were extremely Rude, i was with my 2 year old daughter rushing into a cab, there was an african american staff member who just called a taxi for us, then he started yelling at us "i did something nice, you were expected to Say Thank you"!! the only thing he did was just waiving at the taxi. Next day, someone else wouldn't let us go without tipping him! i usually tip very generously but this is not the way to handle 5 star hotel residents. i would never consider going there again.
No pool but was advertised
The lines were slow to check in and out.
The location, the furniture, staff
in All US I don't like that no water pipe near the toilet seat for washing in the rest room & you have to use only paper to clean your self.
Suite was very nice and spacious, bathroom was modern Staff very helpful and friendly.
Room service ordering proved difficult - lady found it difficult to understand requirements and forgot to give us ketchup twice despite us asking for it with our order. Slightly overpriced - stayed elsewhere for 3 nights nearer to time square in a very similar room and was a lot cheaper.
Beautifull view they did exactly as I asked and provided my dad with an amazing room my dad loved it. Thank you.
The rooms are really big by any standard, but especially for New York and they look like they've been recently renovated. The location of the hotel is fairly conveniently located.(****Traffic could be horrendous in NYC though so if you're not up for walking or taking the subway, give yourself at least twice as much time as what google map tells you to get to your destination.)
They should replace the lady who works at the check-in desk. She's rude, unfriendly and for the three nights we stayed there, she never once smiled -- she just glared at us as we came in and out of the hotel. She's short when we asked her for help. This woman doesn't belong in hospitality and should be fired. Way to make people feel unwelcomed and never want to go back to your hotel again.Because she's the first and last person you see when you're there, it really ruined things for every other staff member who were quite lovely. It's hard to catch a cab here at night. We ended up paying the hotel car
We stayed on the 40th floor of the West Tower. Justin checked us in and gave us a wonderful room with an amazing view of Manhattan. The skyline bar and staff topped off the experience.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten track but we liked the relative peace, together with the view so the only real downside was the swimming pool was not in use during our stay.
view was awesome, comfortable room
a little to far from time square and central park, after check out they charged 2 dollars for every piece of luggage, no late check out
They didn't email us to tell the pool was not available it had been out of action for couple of weeks .. We book because of kids and pool and how tired your feet can be walking in NYC. Disappointed we was so we checked out they didn't offer anything in place even though there was two pools near by in other venues.
The views were memorable shame about the receptionist and the pool.
The tall guy with no hair on the reception who wouldn't let my wife check in, as I was running the marathon, even though she had the booking .com reservation print out, my passport and card wallet. This meant she had to walk around New York three hours in the freezing cold while i got back. When I then mentioned it to one of the female receptionists she shook her head and said, "that's really bad" and apploagised on his behalf. The pool was closed for reconstruction work however we were not informed of this when we booked, the receptionist again apploagised and stated that we should have been informed.
The price: special offer - beat everything at the time of booking for same standard of hotel. Access a bit awkward when driving. Bar could do with more 'élan'
Lobby a bit stark.
