Friendly staff. Comfortable accommodations. Not too far of a ride into Baxter State Park. I can't think of anything.

The owners were very friendly- provided us with home-baked goods, suggested an alternative to our original hiking plans when the weather ended up being bad. Bedding and towels were very clean- we could control the temp in the cabin and stayed very comfortable. The bathroom had been remodeled since our stay two years ago and there was new carpeting- looked and smelled very clean. Cable TV was a treat for us. Microwave and Fridge were handy and appreciated. We enjoy playing cards and fixed our lunches to take on the mountain hike, so a small card table or TV tray would have come in handy.

They were clean; the beds were comfortable. The owners were very nice...left fresh muffins daily. The grounds were very pleasant, with chairs and firepit. Very basic accomodations...no soap, hairdryer, hangers (were provided when asked for), etc....but the price was in line with the accomodations.

Right down the road from a local bar and restaurant and skydiving. Great value for the price. Took a little longer to get to Baxter st park than I thought, but thats something I could have done a better job checking ahead of time.

In this area there is not a luxury hotel nearby. We did not know what to expect. When we first arrived there was no visible sign saying where the main office was but we figured it must be the house next door. I must say the the cabin although Rustic was very clean and quiet. It was a 20 minute ride to where we wanted to go, but a few fast food and DD near by. The linens were nice and clean and I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Muffins in the room was such a nice touch. The bed that we slept in was in need of repair and the owners should put a better sign as well as a menu of offerings inside. We did not discover the stove, etc in the garage bldg. until after.

Good value cabin. Fit two adults and two teenagers just fine. Cabins are not fancy but clean well kept (they just refurbished the bathroom). The family that runs the cabins is very friendly, accommodating, and dropped off fresh cookies and muffins the evening we arrived. The location is at the edge of town, so it is quiet but close to a park and the downtown pubs and diners. We will stay there the next time we visit Baxter State Park.

When we first arrived, my wife and I had some second thoughts before seeing the proprietor. Deciding to give it a try, we were warmly greeted by the couple who own and operate the cabins. Though small, our cabin was very clean and well "stocked" with amenities. Refrigerator, microwave, cable television and clean private bath. The couples young daughters came by later and greeted us with cookies and muffins right out of the oven. Though we were out, they also left the same in our room the next night. Though Millinocket has little to offer most travelers, it is great for hikers and outdoors type. I recommend a stay at Katahdin Cabins while there.

The owners were very gracious and friendly. The cabin was simple and basic, yet comfortable, and perfectly located for my needs. Each day, when I returned to my cabin, a plate of freshly baked pastries was waiting for me...a welcome, and delicious site at the end of a long day of hiking and photgraphing moose.

nichts!!!

it was clean no sign to identify the cabins or office (the office is at the back of A house next to cabins) - no people - the only time I saw A person was when A young girl delivered home bake cookies and pastry and when I went to check out - when we arrived ther was only A small paper on an unlocked door to identify our room. we tried the phone but were given A cell #.

Friendly staff! Cute cabins. Nice for kids-- basketball hoop, small pool, grassy area for running around, and they let us use their bike trailer which was really nice! These are about the closest lodging to hike Katadin, which was about 50 min to the trailhead. Really cool mountain! The Appalacian Cafe down the street is a good place to eat. Not much else to do in town.... The website said that breakfast was included. We didn't see any sign of breakfast. No coffee pot in the cabin either. This was a bit of an inconvenience for us because my husband and I took turns hiking Katadin while the other stayed at the cabin with the kids. So make sure you bring snacks...or at least don't plan on breakfast. Also, there isn't a sign saying Katadin Cabins. Be sure to look at the picture on the website and have the phone number handy so you can call for directions to get there. Otherwise this was a great spot! Really nice staff!!

Convenience, comfort of the beds, cleanliness of the rooms, value and outstanding muffins. Unadorned, unfinished feel and the curtains in bathroom were see-through.

The staff was very accommodating. We had to check in late 8:30pm and leave early (7am) . They had left the our light on for us, the door open and turned on our fans so when we arrived it would be comfortable for us. And they left us with muffins since we left before they opened for breakfast. The cabins were nice and comfortable. Slept like a champ on their comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who was looking for a place to stay in Millinocket.

Great little getaway spot. Cabin was cozy and comfortable with nice linens and thick, warm down comforter. Owners made every attempt to meet our needs and make our stay pleasant. They recommended spots of interest around town. They brought a small heater for the bathroom (as it was unseasonably cold the night we stayed), and fresh baked cookies!
