the proximity to the theatre district and the boston common was perfect.
the noisy heater in the window . the sink was outside the bathroom and was ok but awkward.
This hotel is very central, we visited everything in Boston walking from it. The staff was very nice, especially James (the night shift recepcionist), who even let us leave our backpacks at the hotel after having made the check-out, because we still had a day to visit te city and there are no lockers at the stations. Breakfast is good and the room very suitable. Totally recommend this place!
A bit noisy outside on Sunday evening, as it is located in the theater district and there are clubs and bars in the area (and the people leaving them were yelling and talking loud, which woke us up in the middle of the night).
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great location. Everything I needed in the room. Can't beat the price for the location!
No TV Land channel! At least I couldn't find it. A channel guide would be nice.
kind staff good location nice room
breakfast wasn't so good there are no desk for work in the single room air conditioning system was really noisy
The hotel was perfectly situated on Boston Common. The room, although small, was very clean and the bed comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and regularly replenished throughout the time food was available.
Helpful friendly staff. Great location and comfy beds. Would Definately recommend
Friendly helpful staff, comfy bed. reasonable rate for city hotel. Good location
Nicely prepared for Christmas
Some renewal would help
The location is very central, friendly staff, adequate breakfast
The heating ventilator is very noisy, the rooms are very small
Nice place to stay in theater district, while traveling solo. Co-operative staff and great value for money, more since I could book at a discounted price through Booking.com
1. Tiny room (like 5-6 m2), no door in the bathroom 2. The heater was dirty and dusty, it was basically on top of my bed (I guess because of the lack of space) and it was extremely noisy, no way to keep it on and sleep 3. Without heating the room gets too cold in 15 min. No extra blanket.
Complementary breakfast. Location Parking meter in front of hotel that allows you free parking from 8pm until 8am (all night)
Rooms are neat and clean but a bit small. The price is okay for whats it is and for a Boston near downtown hotel!
Very central location in Boston - 20 min walk to Boston Convention centre Light breakfast included Courteous staff
Inside hotel decor could do with a refurbishment
I liked the single room I booked. It was very adequate. It had a full bath attached, new flat screen, desk and twin bed. The room was also equipped with a window AC/Heater I could manipulate. Breakfast was also included. Location was great!
One of the staff that worked the desk came across a bit short with clients. I over heard a client call her on her attitude.
Comfortable. Great location. Easy walking and close to subway.
Street side room was very noisy when bars let out.
It was well situated for me. The room was clean, small but relatively cheap.
The hotel hallways were a bit musty.
Walking distance from many restaurants, attractions, and the train.

Staff helpful and friendly
tiny room with no separation between toilet and bedroom. Very dusty looking carpet. Electrical fittings look ancient.
Its a very old hotel, but is nicely maintained. The rooms are tiny but the bed was comfy, the linens were nice, and everything was very clean. The wifi worked great the whole trip without issue, and its open-access, so bring all your devices. I was there for work and I hate now other "upmarket hotels" can make Internet access hell. The location is fantastic; around the corner from the restaurants of Tremont St, and also the Theater District. Staff were friendly.
The carpets were clean but a bit worn down. Forgiveness points awarded given just how long this hotel has been around.
Very near Boston Common and Newbury Street, helpful staff and good breakfast. Free wifi.
Rooms feel like they need refreshing and heater did not work very well.
Double Room far too small even for one person. Shower poor and plenty of dirty grouting.
I liked my single bed smallish room. The wifi worked well. The location was good and I felt save there and outside coming and going. Good for price in a high priced city.
nothing stands out
