same as above...the trashy, dirty outside side walk area. The entrance appearance should be improved.
This is thw worst hotel that I have ever been in my life.
The room and facilities
Staff was very good. Though the rooms were very small the bathroom was adequate. Did not have free breakfast at hotel but she recommended a great breakfast spot nearby. Location location location.
Rooms were very small. Tv did not operate properly
Location, friendly staff and price.
So noisy! Even after changing rooms. Basic breakfast Very basic rooms Unfriendly female staff
Location and staff
I am fine with small rooms. This was a pretty small room, but comfortable. I would stay there again.
Staff all friendly & helpful. Excellent location.
Very limited breakfast available. Room pass key didn't work on a number of occasions. No bar.
Price was comfortable. Room was clean and quiet. No vermin.
Room was very small with no separate door for bathroom or shower. There also was no seaparate closet nor a chest of drawers.
The neighborhood is noisy in the midnight due to a clubhouse nearby.
Price, good chance of snagging a parking spot.
Not the quietest place iin town, so bring earplugs. I slept fine.
Decrepit, old, VERY loud. The traffic outside sounds like it's driving through your room. The staff was slow and unfriendly. The rooms are even smaller than NYC rooms. The maid service is questionable and the bathroom wasn't entirely clean when I checked in.
It's an old and simple hotel, with character. Location is the best thing about this place, also the helpful and friendly staff. It's really close to Boston Common and Center City. Breakfast's good (coffee, tea, eggs, fresh breads, oat, fruits, etc). rooms are simple and clean. I enjoyed my stay.
If you can get ride of the fact that it's an old hotel with old furniture, everything else is ok.
Location and service
Very small bed Not suitable for two people although booked as a double
The comfort of the room. It was really small and poor furniture, not even a chair. It was sloped floor. Poor breakfast Really expensive
Excellent position, two steps from the metro. Very easy to reach. Very close to the city center and to the park Staff very professional
Single room is extra small (8-10 square meters). breakfast good, but with limited choices.
It's a very quaint cute little place. The staff were friendly, the location (close to Boston Common and Cambridge) was good!
When I say little I mean little! The rooms are tiny! And nothing in the room was level; the floor had a little bit of a tilt, the dresser definitely had a tilt to it. And for 2 of the 3 days I was there the tv remote didn't work.
Hotel's location. Helpfulness of staff.
Hotel was in need of some refurbishment and interior decoration. Breakfast was very simple for a hotel and breakfast room was tiny.
The hotel is located in a walking distance from a couple of subway stations. There are quite a few decent places to have dinner in a walking distance. The Boston Common is just a few minutes away in case you want to go for a run. The complimentary breakfast was alright.
The window air-conditioning unit was really noisy and leaving it turned on during the night was not an option. Sometimes (especially during weekends) the neighborhood was really noisy during the night.
Liked the staff and position of the hotel
Breakfast was ok but a bit cramped
Easy access to anything. 15 min to wharf, back bay, etc. Staff were very friendly and engaging. I will say the first of my two nights there I had a shoe box sized room, but it was super comfy and had all I needed. The second night I got upgraded to a wonderful room and felt like a king! Loads of choices at breakfast bar. Stay here and don't be afraid to be nice to the people that work there - they will return your kindness! There is also the most amazing assortment of travelers from all over the world staying in the hotel.
Boston is just plain expensive, but I felt like the second night I got more than a great deal for the price.
great location, close to shops and cafes.
Conveniently situated and an easy walk to the tourist route, Boston Common and shopping. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.
