The internet on the fifth floor didn't work during my stay...
Not very clean in the room, room is dark, and smell wet.
Location is good
Price and location will lure me back next year.
Lack of natural light in the room due to it looking out to what appeared to be a vacant space at the centre of the building - no view.
The location is fantastic! The hotel is two blocks from Boston Common and to a number of subway stations. The room was very small but it was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I thought the breakfast was good and covered the basics toast/bagels, tea, coffee, a variety of juices, fruit, yogurt, muffins and cereals. There was even a waffle maker to make your own waffles! There was complimentary bottled water and nutrition bars on tap in the reception area. Overall I thought the hotel was good value.
Room and bathroom too small
Very good location
The room was right next to an electric factory, which meant I was up the entire night... It was extremely loud. You would have to be more than an excellent sleeper to sleep through that. The breakfast was not very good. Have some healthier options! And have recycling available!!
Great location. Staff was good. The room was clean.
Friendly staff and location
Location and lovely staff
Noise level of the street, lack of soundproofing (second floor double facing the busy Charles Street) No chair in the room
Good location, helpful staff
Used the hotel only to sleep at night. Extremely small rooms but neat and clean. Pretty good for the price and the locality.
Bedroom too small.
The single room is very very small There is no mobile signal in the hotel (T Mobile) The lighting of the room is very poor. The staff are not so welcoming There is no secure place in the room where you can keep your valuable items
The location of the hotel is near the south station.
The location of this property is perfect. About 600m to Boston Common! Plenty of shops and amenities nearby. Close to South Station. I also found it nice and quiet inside the hotel. I only had a King single bed which was fine and very comfortable. Would stay here again. Good value for money.
Furniture showing its age and if you are at the back of the hotel, be prepared for noise from "Blue Man Group". Theatre is next door apparently. Ends around 9:30p.m.
Location, good restaurants in area and proximity to the park and Common.
Staff : 2/3 receptionists I met were pretty unfriendly. Not welcoming at all. WiFi : not working. Very noisy air conditioning.
Private bathroom in the room. Both bathroom and bedroom were clean. Not far away from the public garden / the Commons to have a nice run in the morning.
Parking garage located across street from hotel. Also a $14 off voucher toward the $40 24 hour parking fee, reduced to $26.
We like the breakfast and free WiFi.
You had to have the heater on all the time (as it was freezing) but the heater was so noisy. The girl who checked me in and tried to give me initial directions to town really didn't speak adequate English (for an English speaking country). It was really very expensive for a single bed in a tiny room with no outlook.
Bed was comfy, place was clean and free breakfast and wifi was welcome.
Hot water to shower was extremely slow and variable.
Really uncomfortable experience. I´d left if I hadn´t paid for the hole stay.
My first room (509) was horrible but the bed was comfy and it was clean and mostly quiet (apart from drumming night!). When I returned to room 306 it was much nicer but on the street. Breakfast area gets very congested. Expensive for two star but I believe all accommodation in Boston is expensive.
Staff were very helpful. Wifi was great. Only two blocks from Boston Common. Bearing in mind it is a two star hotel, it was nice to get breakfast included.
Couldn't open suitcases cause room so small, reception and management not interested. Breakfast was appallingly poor, plastic plates, cup, cutlery and shockingly poor choice!
Breakfast room a little small - can get crowded.
Location, coffee on tap, teabags and hot water 24/7,
Just one minor thing. The room beside the front desk where the guests' luggage is temporarily stored with ID tags; it provides almost no security. I would rather hand my luggage over the counter and have it stored by the staff in a room somewhere that is inaccessible to other hotel guests. Nothing went missing, but it made me feel just a bit uneasy having my valuables unprotected.
On all three mornings, I spoke briefly, face to face, with one of the housekeeping staff and requested that my room not be disturbed. I exchanged my used towels with her in person and I wasn't bothered with any knocks at the door...from her or anyone else. Nice. The breakfast service was much more than I expected and clean as a whistle. I noticed the staff being very patient with some of the dingbat guests who didn't have the skill to measure dough for a waffle. Funny.
