I spoke wih a person from booking.com and the Marriott and asked if we could use gift cards for payment. I was told "yes" by both booking.com and the Marriott. When it was time to checkout we were told we could not use the gift cards b/c we didnt book through the Marriott directly. We were quite surprised and disappointed.

We liked the nearby shopping. The ice machine didn't work. No HBO, etc. The spa and pool were offline. Loud partyers on our floor. Loud cursing in our hallway in the middle of the night.

I like that it was very convenient to everywhere we needed to go. The staff was extremely friendly when I checked in and was very informative. They were able to tell me about many of the hotel's features efficiently so I didn't have to wait for a huge speech. i didn't like that there was only one entrance to the hotel. Not really a big deal but it only limited you to be able to park in the front and then have to make your way around.

The staff at Kip's were not very friendly, except for our bartender was very nice. We came with a wedding party and wanted to eat breakfast on Sunday a.m. They were way under staffed and would not seat us even though there were tables open. I felt sorry for the staff, but seemed like poor management. When we did get seated, the food was very good. Disappointing experience there. Otherwise, a very good stay. Nice hotel...but off the beaten path so not sure we would stay there again based on the price. For that price, we would probably stay closer to the action.

Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Very nice pool and hot tub. Well kept general public areas. Requested a room with 2 beds but when I checked in there was only a room with a king available. The front desk staff did offer a roll away bed, however this didn't sound very appealing in that we had spent alot of time in the car and needed a comfortable nights sleep.

We enjoyed how wonderful the rooms were. We loved the architecture and colors. It was comfortable and very clean. The hotel employees weren't as professional as we thought they'd be, especially for such a nice hotel. They were not very courteous nor informed. We would not recommend shopping in their small convenience grocery section, for none of the staff knew the prices of any of the products and we had to wait while they "guessed" the prices.

This is going to sound wierd, when I walked in the lobby, it just felt welcoming, that was even before I was welcomed by the friendly staff. Oh and the chocolate-chip cookies were delicious!!! Due to other travel commitments, I could only stay one night.
