The room was a nice sized room. the price of the room was also great
I was able to hear the noise from the neighbouring room the tile in the bathroom wasn't securein the first room the television wasn't working
Clean, good breakfast.
- Extremely close to the highway, still very quiet and soundproof. - Extremely kind, helpful staff. Room cleaned at any hour! - Clean and spacious room. - Free parking.
- No breakfast, but it wasn't a problem for us (and there are plenty of places nearby)
Location of property is good for Bay Area activities. Value is great.
Poor lighting in the room. Need new towels.
They have a good price and it is a perfect place for an overnight, especially if you are travelling with a car since it is close to the highway. It is also good that it is close to the El Cerrito del Norte BART station, but I wouldn't like to walk alone in that area at night (I was either returning early or a friend of mine was bringing me back with a car). They have a new furniture, but the overall look of the room and the hotel was still cheap to me, not like on the pictures here...
The neighbourhood did not seem completely safe, so they lock the front door after 10pm. The breakfast was extremely poor---they had only bread, two types of cereals, butter, jam, apples, coffee and tea. It was a bit noisy---I could hear when other guests were taking a shower, flushing their toilet or walking around. Also, I complained that I could not lock the door from the inside---it was working when the door was open, but I couldn't turn it to the end to lock when it was closed. When I called the receptionist she first was surprised and tried to lock it by herself. However, when she saw that it doesn't work she said that it is like that since they have the new locks and it is locked just by closing the door. True it was locked and additionally they had a swing door guard, but I was not completely happy. Previously I was in a hotel where the same was true, but I could still lock the door from the inside.
The place was clean, staff is friendly, breakfast is ok, fairly quiet, slept comfortably, and price was reasonable. If want to visit UC Berkeley then this is a short drive with options to take the streets if freeway is busy.
price is right, close to food, bart, great affordable bay area place to stay
Hotel was clean & close to Richmond highlights & a Safeway.
The person at the front desk was not very helpful. Note that if you book with bookings.com you cannot change your bed arrangement, even if there is another option available.
good starting point for SF, Oakland, winelands, Sausalito (e.g. 30 minutes drive to downtown SF, except rush hour), affordable and good value for money, clean rooms
Close to freeway (which some regard as an advantage), toll bridge to get to downtown SF, small breakfast room, breakfast is ... well ... I guess it is standard for continental breakfast in the US
While hotel is right next to I-80, I had a room on the other side and it was extremely quiet. Room size was comfortable, slept well in King size bed, bathroom OK. Room was clean. I was pleasantly surprised at overall quality of room for price. I expect less than what I received. I did not avail myself of continental breakfast.
We stayed 2 days at this hotel, traveled for 3 days, and returned for our last night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was handy to shopping and restaurants, the I80/I580 freeways, and the BART. The two queens were very comfortable, although I found the pillows less so. I always check the seams of the mattress for cleanliness; it was VERY clean, almost new! The shower was great. The rooms were also very clean. Sufficiently appointed, all appliances worked well. Much better than we hoped for the location and price
Sketchy neighborhood, but pretty typical for the Berkeley surrounding areas that are located near the BART and freeway.
- Quiet location, we slept very well - nice and clean Room - nice and carrying Staff
- Poor Breakfast - Poor Wi-Fi - Strange smell in Elevator
The faucet tap is a little hard to use, I have try several times to get the hot water.
The hotel is 10 min walking for the nearest BART station. With the BART train it takes only 30 min to get to Downtown SF. This makes the hotel a cheap alternative compared with the downtown SF hotels.
Ease of entry and exit to Freeways. Rooms were excellent, and clean.
Breakfast. No meat offered and 2-3 ounce cups were not big enough to drink confortably out of..
Location convenient to BART, restaurants and grandchildren
Breakfast inadequate, but many convenient options
Staff; location; price
This is a very good value considering the location. This was my second stay here and would do it again the next time I'm in the Bay Area.
I really have nothing negative to say about this hotel.
It was right in the middle of all the places that I had to go while there For two adult people, it was nice to have own queen bed
I didn't realize how close the building was to the freeway so thought that lack of sleep would be an issue but it was sound proofed enough that the freeway noise was not an issue at all
I was there for a high school reunion and the location was great. Right off the fwy and couldn't hear it in the room at all! If you stay here plan some time to visit the Rosie the Riveter museum in Richmond. It is awesome!
I just needed to have a good night's sleep and be off early the next morning. This hotel met those needs. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet.
I think the continental breakfast could use an upgrade. The choices were very minimal.
Location was good. Price was good. Nice selection of items for breakfast.
Our room had an ant problem
Neighborhood is not clean
No cable TV
