Perfectly located close to family. Liked the courtyard orientation of my room. Staff was courteous and friendly. Bed was super comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Great value for the price!
Small things such as location of bathroom light switch all the way into the vanity area. Bring a flashlight for nighttime trips to the commode. No setting for fan-only on the heating unit, which I like to do as white noise. No big deal, just a small "aw-shucks" thing.
Better value might be found in a hotel that had more style and a better lounge area.
The room lacked flair and decor of any kind. The one window looked out into the courtyard and did not provide much light or privacy. The wifi connection was so slow that it effectively was close to useless. No breakfast was provided although one was advertised.
Clean, comfortable, good location
There can be people socializing in the gazebo area in the evening, making one shut the window for it to be quiet.
I liked the whole package. The rooms were nice and they provided two beautiful patios for us to have a little meet and greet at no additional cost. It was a wonderful place and we will recommend it to anyone.
Room was very nice, clean. Staff was great. Location was good.
Property was in need of update, seemed somewhat neglected. Once we got through the front, the grounds were unkempt and the hot tub area was totally rundown and uninviting. Some poorly lit areas of parking in back. We did not go to the breakfast.
Good breakfast, clean room and property
No hot tub and sauna was locked up.
Breakfast good. Location good. Room size above average.
Wifi connection slow and spotty.
Location is good if you're looking for conveniences such as Safeway within walking distance . The same complex has Pabda Express, Wing Stop etc. Short drive to Cliff Drive and Boardwalk.
I think the room was a bit stuffy for me . My boyfriend didn't think so though . Internet was weak but at least it's free .
The guy at reception at arrival was very nice, with good recommendations. Room was OK, clean and reasonably comfortable.
Somebody was walking up and down in the upper room (or somewhere on first floor) from around 6AM and we could hear every single step, that was very annoying (no soundproofing at all?). Breakfast room is tiny, when it's busy it can be noisy and food can disappear quickly.
liked the cleanliness of rooms -staff was great
could only stay to nights
quiet away from street noise clean room nice breakfast
the heater was leaking on to the rug
Location, close to wedding facility at Seymour Aquarium, clean
Could not spend more time there
The staff, particularly Ernest were absolutely fantastic; really friendly and helpful. The location of the inn was great and only a couple of miles from the beautiful Pacific coastline so I was able to walk from the inn all the way to the Santa Cruz pier. It was also nice too to have free parking and be able to park right outside my room! The room was very clean, comfortable and functional and the on-site hot tub was fantastic! The breakfast on offer was nicely varied and tasty. I would definitely stay again!
I requested double beds from Booking Buddy, and when I placed my follow-up call. The only double left was a handicapped room. First experience in a room with no tub. Everything worked out ok
To be honest, my wife and myself had a high expectation for the amount of money we paid ($185.00 + Tax) I have been through a lot of high class Hotels with the same cost or less, the facility was to our satisfaction. Breakfast: Donuts served cut in half by hand , and we have to ask for refill. Coffee machine and cups in Bathroom.
the breakfast was surprisingly well stocked.
the breakfast room was too small and crowded. the front desk was a bit uninviting...
Clean, safe and quiet
The staff are professional. There is a hot tub and sauna. The carpet was new and clean. The sales on rooms makes it appealing. There is an attempt for cleanliness (except I found stain and hair in sheets, and dust). They have a book of local menus on the front desk. The staff are mostly friendly and accommodating.
The quality of the rooms varies greatly (layout of room, scent of room [from household cleaners to smoke], decor, analog vs digital tv, street noise, natural light, space)- so I am reluctant to book again because the first time I stayed I loved my room (though staff would not let me see it in advance) and the next time I stayed the whole experience was downgraded due to missing features in the room. Check-in experience needs some improvement.
Good clean hotel
A lot of breakfast stuff gone when we got there
I was in town with my grandson who was playing in a baseball tournament in Watsonville. We preferred to stay in Santa Cruz and the commute was easy from the Mission Inn location. Also located close to the wharf where we enjoyed a great dinner on Saturday night. Used the hot tub and hot rock sauna. Good place to stay!
Staff was awesome, rooms were clean, bed's were very comfortable and the location is nice.
The guest in the room next to me kept bumping the wall, opening/closing drawers, pacing and opening the front door from 11:45 to around 4am.
Friendly staff. Immediate response on changing payment method.
Had stayed here several times in previous years but it had been awhile since the last stay. Our room had been nicely remodeled and was very comfortable and clean. Facility is close to Westcliff Drive which runs along the shoreline and has a running/walking trail, access to beach, and you can watch surfers and enjoy the magnificent scenery.
Breakfast dining room is too small and food fare was very average. It's okay for something included in the price of the room but if I wanted a good breakfast I would go to a restaurant.
nice mattress, clean rooms, generally quiet, polite staff, easy parking on site
The "continental breakfast" was a joke. By 9am, almost the entire thing was gone. There wasn't even anyone to complain to, as there was no one at the desk! When I checked out, the clerk admitted they had "dropped the ball" on stocking the breakfast. Caveat emptor.
We appreciated the warm, attentive nature of your team. Thank you for another lovely, quiet and social visit.
Saturday morning breakfast was very busy. There weren't very many english muffins and no light yogurt. We did ok with the regular yogurt! Paco keeps wondering why you don't put a regular butter dish with a half stick of butter out rather than all those little butter containers.
