Location, close to wedding facility at Seymour Aquarium, clean
Could not spend more time there
The staff, particularly Ernest were absolutely fantastic; really friendly and helpful. The location of the inn was great and only a couple of miles from the beautiful Pacific coastline so I was able to walk from the inn all the way to the Santa Cruz pier. It was also nice too to have free parking and be able to park right outside my room! The room was very clean, comfortable and functional and the on-site hot tub was fantastic! The breakfast on offer was nicely varied and tasty. I would definitely stay again!
I requested double beds from Booking Buddy, and when I placed my follow-up call. The only double left was a handicapped room. First experience in a room with no tub. Everything worked out ok
To be honest, my wife and myself had a high expectation for the amount of money we paid ($185.00 + Tax) I have been through a lot of high class Hotels with the same cost or less, the facility was to our satisfaction. Breakfast: Donuts served cut in half by hand , and we have to ask for refill. Coffee machine and cups in Bathroom.
the breakfast was surprisingly well stocked.
the breakfast room was too small and crowded. the front desk was a bit uninviting...
Clean, safe and quiet
The staff are professional. There is a hot tub and sauna. The carpet was new and clean. The sales on rooms makes it appealing. There is an attempt for cleanliness (except I found stain and hair in sheets, and dust). They have a book of local menus on the front desk. The staff are mostly friendly and accommodating.
The quality of the rooms varies greatly (layout of room, scent of room [from household cleaners to smoke], decor, analog vs digital tv, street noise, natural light, space)- so I am reluctant to book again because the first time I stayed I loved my room (though staff would not let me see it in advance) and the next time I stayed the whole experience was downgraded due to missing features in the room. Check-in experience needs some improvement.
Good clean hotel
A lot of breakfast stuff gone when we got there
I was in town with my grandson who was playing in a baseball tournament in Watsonville. We preferred to stay in Santa Cruz and the commute was easy from the Mission Inn location. Also located close to the wharf where we enjoyed a great dinner on Saturday night. Used the hot tub and hot rock sauna. Good place to stay!
Staff was awesome, rooms were clean, bed's were very comfortable and the location is nice.
The guest in the room next to me kept bumping the wall, opening/closing drawers, pacing and opening the front door from 11:45 to around 4am.
Friendly staff. Immediate response on changing payment method.
Had stayed here several times in previous years but it had been awhile since the last stay. Our room had been nicely remodeled and was very comfortable and clean. Facility is close to Westcliff Drive which runs along the shoreline and has a running/walking trail, access to beach, and you can watch surfers and enjoy the magnificent scenery.
Breakfast dining room is too small and food fare was very average. It's okay for something included in the price of the room but if I wanted a good breakfast I would go to a restaurant.
nice mattress, clean rooms, generally quiet, polite staff, easy parking on site
The "continental breakfast" was a joke. By 9am, almost the entire thing was gone. There wasn't even anyone to complain to, as there was no one at the desk! When I checked out, the clerk admitted they had "dropped the ball" on stocking the breakfast. Caveat emptor.
We appreciated the warm, attentive nature of your team. Thank you for another lovely, quiet and social visit.
Saturday morning breakfast was very busy. There weren't very many english muffins and no light yogurt. We did ok with the regular yogurt! Paco keeps wondering why you don't put a regular butter dish with a half stick of butter out rather than all those little butter containers.
Attractive, clean and comfortable. Pleasant staff.
Breakfast. Not enough and not enough variety.
Clean, Large room. Refrigerator, Microwave. Good parking. Close to all.
Continental breakfast could be more varied
I WANT to give this place a 5, but I can't. The place is really cute but not the prettiest to look at. Upon coming to our room, we realized the bed (we requested a queen) was smaller than what we expected. The room itself is big with a flat screen TV, a fridge, microwave, and a really nice bathroom with decor and the like. We sat down after dinner to relax before bed and we're happy with how quiet the room is minus a few noises from the coffee maker/fridge/AC. But none of those were obnoxious. The guy at the front desk was really nice. I think his name was Michael. He checked us in promptly and gave us great recommendations for food and how to get to our room and where to park. He was very polite and not awkward to engage in a conversation. I booked this place on Booking.com and noticed they had a "special request" section. I've seen the funny things people had requested and had achieved, as a joke I requested a portrait of Old Gregg from the show the Mighty Boosh and forgot about it. We walked into our room and I found a printed out portrait with a hand written note saying she's not an artist, but we hope this counts and we enjoy our stay. My roommate and I couldn't stop laughing for a solid 5 minutes, it made our night and our stay which makes this place a 5 stars in my eyes. A few things I'm not happy about, but nothing that won't stop me from coming back and booking again. PS: Rebecca who works here ROCKS.
The bed seemed more like a full than a queen, the bed was okay, but overall I would come here again. Two thumbs up!
Plenty of amenities near by
No Fresh fruit at breakfast , limited cereal choice too .
The room upstairs was light, clean and comfortable. We were across the street from a Starbucks coffee shop in a Safeway Store- very convenient. A little far from the Marina, but easy access to the highway.
The first room we were assigned was very dark and fairly small, with a room that faced a courtyard with no screening. The management quickly moved us to an upstairs, lighter and larger room upon our request.
The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful
The rooms/décor were very dated and not very appealing.
The breakfast spread for the price we paid was awesome. Plus plenty of dining options within the area. Great, reasonable accomodation.
Spider web in bathroom
Liked the appearance of the building and the grounds, the trees. It was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The pillows were too high, we both woke up with sore necks. Although it was a non smoking room, it smelled like old stale cigarette smoke. The price seemed high for the age of the facility.
Really friendly hotel, enjoyed our stay, the hot tub was a bonus!
Breakfast could have been better, but it was free so can't complain too much.
