Right in the middle of Little Tokyo, and not that far from Downtown. Different and fun. A bit out-dated....needs a freshening up....should be more Japanese and less Ramada.

The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly. I got in late and they offered me a free trip to the spa. Very nice I got to jacuzzi and sauna before bed This is not a big deal considering you are downtown la. You park next door in a parking lot but it was only $8 versus the usual $30 downtown parking. Also the area ( japan town) is a bit run down but not dangerous

I have stayed at the miyako several times and always got a good room with a king bed. Before I booked directly with the hotel. The moment I book through you I got a room on the 3rd floor dirty stained carpets and a very smelly room. This was my partners first stay here and he will never put foot in again. I will never go back. All the front desk had to say is sorry I don't have another room. I am disappointed at booking.coms ability to get qlty rooms within a hotel because you have discounted rates,

We arrived early and were allowed to check in early. Very friendly efficient staff. Convenient parking and valet. Quiet room. Breakfast buffet was varied with Japanese and American choices, but many of the dishes were cold.

The Miyako was a perfect place for us. It was the best match for location/accessibility/quality/price plus in many Japanese restaurants, food stores and a unique, vital, very interesting and safe neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and will be happy to return if we want to spend more time in downtown la. -The location. We wanted to be near historic and art deco design sites in the downtown and Miyako was perfectly located for that. - The lobby was nicely designed and appointed. - The staff was responsive and accessible. - The king size bed was very comfortable -The TV was excellent -The bathroom was sizable enough but more for one person at a time -The room was quiet with not incoming noises - Near a metro and buses - The best price/quality/location match we could find - The room and entire floor were a bit worn, although that did not make any difference to our stay really. I expect that the floor will be renovated in the near future. Not a big deal though for us. - There was no breakfast included and there are no breakfast places in Little Tokyo.

Nicest staff ever. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Beds were very hard, rooms had acoustic ceilings and old wallpaper that was curling up everywhere. No continental breakfast.

I liked the Staff. The housekeeping Ladies, were awesome & kept us in Clean Towels! Thank you! I liked the explanation of Taxes & extra charges, even though our Internet quote, only matched 2 night, of our 4 night stay. Challenges, gettting to the Staples Convention Center, twice daily for our conference & evening meetings. Buses were great & subway / metro great.

Very good location, friendly staff. The hotel feels old, there are uncover screw holes in the showers (I guess they changed the shower curtain or something and forgot to cover the old holes), the pillows are too high and can be uncomfortable. Very old refrigerator

Location is excellent in the midst of Little Tokyo. Close to fantastic food and interesting shops. Easy to hop on the I-5 to get around la. Aveda products in the bathroom and Japanese toilet with heated seat. The room was rather small but the bathroom was huge. There were signs of wear throughout the hotel.
