Only complaint was that the room smelt kind of mildewy. Could do with a bit more fresh air!
I only stayed overnight, but it was handy for Union Station, very quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
wifi was a bit choppy
the hotel in general was just so nice, and so were the staff.
The only minus was the window in the room - needs shifting out. It wasn't a bother, just obviously old and worn.
The restaurant - breakfast and dinner.
The Miyako Hotel was a nice hotel. They had a really nice spa area. I got a shiatsu massage and it was great! Staff was very polite. I was even able to check in early sincr there was a room available. There's a cute little outdoor mall behind the hotel full of stores that sell Japanese products. All in all i dont have anything negative to say about my stay or location.
restaurant, can't compete with local competitors.
Noise for laundry machine mid-night, not easy to sleep a sound.
Very kind staffs, and Clean.
Wifi is too slow.
The room is clean, comfort. Location is good, easy to find restaurants.
It was all good.
Although I cabbed it going to the hotel after I arrived at Union Station from Seattle (as I wasn't sure where I was going), I was able to comfortably walk back to Union Station for my train departure to New Orleans the following day. Very comfortable bed and helpful, friendly staff.
Always spotless and fresh in appearance, it is handy to the Gold Line which connects you to so much of L.A. We like the many pleasant Asian restaurants near the hotel.
far if you want typical tourist activities
- convenient transportation. - good location. - little tokyo and ramen.
WiFi very slow and could not print out e-mail.
Chris, Cruz and all of Staff was very helpful. Help me get settled in Room and another helper helped me reload the luggage in to car to leave. Restaurant made a great Salmon on white rice with soup and Salad
Valet was very quick, staff nice. No breakfast included in the price.
Overall our experience was great.
Spa and Breakfast!
Convenient location. Great staff.
The valet parking was excellent value. The neighborhood had many choices and fun shops.
The buffet breakfast is expensive, but it's worth it if you're really hungry or are having brunch there.
This hotel is in Little Tokyo which is a much more interesting neighborhood than right downtown which I find sterile. But it's also very close to downtown. There are many good Asian restaurants and interesting shops. The hotel is clean, comfortable. The lobby is merely functional, but the rooms are lovely, well-appointed, well-kept. The wi-fi is better than in many hotels I've stayed in in LA.
Japanese staff seemed to give preference to Japanese customers, for example I was first in the queue at the coffee shop and the barista started serving Japanese visitors at the back of the queue before me! Felt it was a bit overpriced for what I got, considering not even breakfast was included.
Free wi-fi Funky japanese electronic toilet Architecture and style of the building
*part of town - Japan Town is great, also very close to highway * nice, authentic Japanese food
Problems with changing channels tv
No water boiler.
