It was a well priced boutique hotel in the best location! Close to the subway, restaurants, theater, the Millenium Park, museums, shopping, the River Cruise. We were able to walk most places, and cab rides when we were tired was affordable. The room was spacious, clean, very comfortable, and I loved the size of the hotel. Not too big, but not too small. The hotel offers pet goldfish to keep you company during your stay, there is a wine social between 5-6pm, and free tea and coffee bar in the morning. The mattresses were amazingly comfortable, wish I had them at home! I will always be on the lookout for Kimpton Hotels during my travels. I usually don't overspend for my hotel rooms, but don't go the cheapest either. 5 stars!

Staff this well-trained are rare: they answer the phone personally, email replies are speedy, they are kind and helpful. And the hotel is beautiful - stylish, comfortable, fun. They keep iced water with lemon in the lobby at all times, plus juice during the afternoon, coffee in the morning, and wine at 5 pm. Some rooms have views of the river - which is worth requesting - and all rooms have window 'seats' which are really elevated beds. Great for a nap. Though across from the elevator, we found the room to be very quiet. The drapes are true black-out drapes - and stay shut - a real plus if you want to sleep in on a summer day. There are lovely extra touches - a chaise lounge, full-size desk, good reading light, lots of natural light. Really, we hated to leave the room. Hair dryers need to be requested - but it would be nicer if they were already in the rooms. Also, a nightlight in the bath would be a nice touch.

The window embrasure lounge is the best!view to Chicago river and Marina towers! I loved to sit there with a drink and let the city pass below you.excellent very comfy bed lining as well.

The hotel combines art deco and luxury in a perfectly located hotel in the centre of Chicago. The staff coudn't have been more helpful from the cleaner to head concierge. Nothing was too much trouble

Small, boutique hotel; well-maintained, great restaurant, great people My room have very little natural light. Upon arriving, I asked to move to a higher floor and was charged an "upgrade." Particularly for a new client, and one that travels frequently, a complementary upgrade could have been a wise investment to ensure repeat business. The hotel was not full. Otherwise, great hotel.
