Staff members as follows..T the doorman, isabella the waitress at red owl, ommar at front desk, Rob at front desk and Christina at front desk
The staff on rooftop not nearly ad friendly as red owl and lobby. They should hang with those other folks to vet a better sense of true customer service and authenticity
- Location - Wine reception
Noisy neighbours. Hotel security was requested (twice) by me at 5am to ask people in room across the way having a party to keep it down - they didn't. Hotel was unable to give me ear plugs as they didn't have any - I'd expect this as being standard
Staff were all excellent. Great atmosphere and decor.
Location and ambiance
I love the decor and the quality of the linens and products used. The rooms are a good size and set a luxurious tone. The staff is friendly, accommodating and focused on delivering great service.
We moved rooms after the first night. The staff was helpful and excellent at moving us to a different room when requested. The first room was smaller and the water in the shower never got hot. The location of the first room made it very noisy. Every time a room nearby opened or closed their door it could be heard loudly in our room and almost gave the impression that someone was entering our room. Also there was a mirror directly facing the bed where you could see yourself from the bed, which is poor feng shui. The room we moved to was perfect.
This is a high-end hotel with tons of style. Colorful and quirky and a change from what I usually stay in. Staff was great a well as the complimentary daily wine happy hour.
Only bad thing was had trouble getting a hot shower. It was about 10 degrees out and the hotel was at full occupancy so I understand but it still wasn't the best way to end my stay.
1. Soaking SPA tub!! Very, very deep set tub, water temp gets very hot which I like, and pressure great as tub fills up quickly. 2. Overall bathroom was nice...shower was great too. 3. Complimentary wine hour, complimentary coffee/tea/cocoa in the mornings in lobby. 4. Concierge/Valet Services. 5. Staff overall very friendly, patient, customer focused (except for my delay in getting wine opener), and seem to enjoy working there. 6. Vicinity to Historic Philly and great restaurants/cultural area of the City.
1. Had to call multiple times to get a wine opener. Took almost 30 minutes total. 2. Rug in room not totally clean...visible dirt, etc. 3. Position of tv stand to rest of room awkward (I was in King Spa room). Could barely see tv from the side chair. Would have been better for the desk to be swapped with the TV stand/armoire. 4. Very thin walls...heard guests next to me, and there was a connecting door in my room I believe. Could hear doors open/shut in the hallway near my room. 5. Room Service quality fair...pricey for what you get. Ordered a cheese plate and a beet salad...no roll/bread for the salad...no salt/pepper...just the salad plate and the cheese plate and silverware. Strange for higher end hotel. And food was average... 6. Food in hotel restaurant average, menu limited, pricey.
Lovely, staffed with pros, great spot, great spa tub
I loved the look of the hotel and room. The staff was friendly. They were quick and accurate.
I thought the valet was a bit pricey when you can stay in parking lots around the area for half the cost. I saw a dark shadow in our bathroom. I think the hotel may be a bit haunted. I'm a paranormal investigator and I know when I see an apparition.
yoga mat bathrobes bright room upgraded to overlooking park after initial mix up with reservation
Complimentary wine hour.
Small rooms. Bed was right next to the bathroom. You could touch the toilet while laying on the bed. No door on the shower.
By joining the hotels loyalty program WiFi was free. The hotel is exceptional, the location is a little out of the centre of the city, but a comfortable walk away. The hotels had everything!
Nice style, comfortable beds, clean, modern and appealing. Friendly staff.
Loud vent inside the room, not able to turn it off. Very annoying at night.
location and evening wine reception
As a history buff I enjoyed the fact that the Monaco is right next to and around the most historical part of Philadelphia. The staff was just simply amazing! So incredibly friendly and helpful. From the doormen, to check in, to the ladies and gentlemen of housekeeping. The rooms were always kept spotless and smelling amazing, the living room in the reception always warm and inviting. Loved it!
The restaurant adjacent to the Monaco, the Red Owl Tavern. Quite pricey and the food was not anything I would rave about.
*the attention and professional attitude of the staff * eclectic interior * assistance of Ms. Samantha Levy : our reception organisor * our reception in the Chef's Table * friendly and helpful doormen : Brad, Shaun & Polite * Brie and Kirstin on reception : all stars in their own right
* coffee machine supplies were not automatically refilled * unfitted bottom sheets made sleeping a tad uncomfortable
Good value. Would like to be offered special rates when available.
Staff was superb. Location is fantastic. Room was modern and spacious.
Loved this hotel and will definitely stay there again. First of all, the price was excellent. The staff is super friendly, courteous, and helpful. The location is perfect since many attractions are close. The rooms are clean and beautiful. You will get your money's worth and more.
Loved the whole thing! It was light and easy combined with elegant and a little swank.
The only draw back was the TV had poor chooses and and no NetFlix.
Staff were welcoming, efficient..location near historical section wonderful. LOVED the Ambience, the wine hour and standard of wine was excellent..
Room was not clean and neaded recleaning after check in. Warm water is not available during the night which makes an early morning shower a true wake up experience.
Beautiful, comfortable rooms with excellent service make this hotel a great place to stay in Philadelphia. We spent the night in one of the tasteful and uniquely decorated King deluxe rooms filled with all the modern comforts you'd expect. The location is hard to beat as well, our room was overlooking Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. If you're looking to spend an unforgettable night or two in Philly this is the place to do it.
Paid WiFi. If I'm paying four hundred plus dollars to stay a night in your hotel I expect things like WiFi to be complimentary. In addition the room only came with one bottle of water, the others in the mini bar came with a price tag.Long story short, I don't like being nickle and dimed over water and WiFi.
Decor, free happy hour, the lobby, and location!
Didn't get to use my Kimpton $10 credit due to some misinformation from the receptionist :(
