The staff is laid back but incredibly attentive and welcoming. The beds are just a dream to sleep in. Best nights sleep on our whole trip to Portland.
friendly, professional service, wine and beer reception, good location comfortable beds, large rooms, romantic, two flat screen tvs,
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Fantastic service, location, amenities, cleanliness, comfort.
Check-in = best ever. I had a cold, it was raining and fairly miserable weather, and Heather immediately helped us get settled and gave us drink tickets for the restaurant so that we could truly relax .... Above and beyond!
Nothing - all was great!
Room is a bit small, but clean and cozy. Location is good, close to everything.
Welcoming staff Fast internet They upgraded my room for free
Front desk ladies are a bit cold faced. One slim male server in the dining room had a very bad attitude . We had to wait for extremely long to get our meals. He brought us a wrong bill and didn't even bother to apologize for it. Don't understand how he could be a server without any serving heart. In addition, the room temperature can be 76 the highest. It was cold in the hotel room. Will never come back here.
Quirky and cheerful decor. Warm and hospitable staff. Cozy environment. Daphne, their Director of Pet Relations.
Inconsistent temperature of shower. It went up and down in waves during every shower in our room (# 1101).
Valet Parking available on lower level which allows you to drive directly to lift for reception.
Free Wifi, location, friendly staff, restaurant happy hour 4-8 every day, wine hour in lobby, fitness center
Bed was on the hard side
The location was very good, close to transportation and shopping, hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable; lots of dogs in the lobby for Holiday photos with Santa! I liked the hotel and would book another stay there.
Having to pay for wi-fi is draconian, especially when booking one of the more expensive rooms. The adjoining Red Star Tavern was a big disappointment. Service was very slow both at Happy Hour and the following morning at breakfast. Staff were not helpful and borderline rude. I understand it is the Holiday season and they were busy but that's when a cheery smile does wonders to offset terrible service! Suggest a change in management and or better customer service training for the staff. It sort of felt like amateurs trying to be pros and falling short of the mark.
Great decor and atmosphere. Pet friendly but you don't notice anything offensive(don't have pets)The restaurant serves brunch until 2, we slept in until 11 and were able to have a delicious breakfast!
The shower could be better in the room, even changing the head out would help.
The service, the rooms, the atmosphere
Very pleasant room with a view. Wine hour a nice perk.
The attached restaurant was a weak point.
Great location. Free hot cider and wine tasting every day. Attractive, bold interior design.
Breakfast at restaurant was not good.
The ambience, the water station. The free drinks hour. The comfortable rooms . The Staff were very friendly
The restaurant was so full we could not eat there. I think hotel should. Have a way to help residents with this. There was only one maid on. Our side of. floor. She worked very hard but did not get to our room until 5
I loved the sitting room with the fireplace and games. It was nice to have good coffee and hot chocolate served in the morning. It was great for my kids!
Location is good.
Macy's store back is opposite the hotel and the noise throughout the night, beeping trucks and loud workman went on nearly all night as deliveries were made, on all three nights we stayed. No fun given that this was an expensive stay compared to much cheaper and quieter locations that we have frequented in Oregon.
convient to everything. Free Wi fi
The cost of parking, squeaky floor, not enough umbrellas for everyone, the counter in the bathroon is not large enough to place your things.
City view....not really
Staff Events Room comfort
Quality of sleep may have had nothing to do with the hotel but the air con fan was noisy
good location, so close to the shopping center. good facilities, beautiful lobby.
Nothing. It was just fantastic. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It makes me want to seek out other Kimpton Hotels. Great job! When I see happy employees I assume they are being treated well - as they should. Good job!
Portland is such a bike friendly city. It was great that the hotel had loaner bikes for their guests to use. We spent two days in Portland and used the bikes both days to completely explore the city.
