I really liked this property, the amenities & the location.
Unfortunately, their restaurant was closed for renovations during my stay.
This beautiful hotel gives a warm welcoming feeling like home with fireplace and sofas. Friendly staff. Very convenient central located, rooms are large and with all facilities.
The restaurant was closed so there was no breakfast/room service and this was unclear at time of booking. But they compensated this with free pastries and some whole fruits in the morning which I appreciated as very thoughtful.
Friendly and professional service all-round. Helpful people always immediately available.
A year later and the same distance from the center, we found that the room, although clean & comfortable, was cramped in comparison to other places I stayed. Very expensive square foot indeed....
Clean hotel with modern furniture near Union Square (central SF area). The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy.
Breakfast was basic and nothing special. Expected more with the price you pay.
Great weekend away for my birthday staff was very good great hotel
Bed uncomfortable, very tiny room
Complimentary free wine, free light breakfast, free wifi, and traveling ammenuties. Straight shot short walk to union square. Bunch of late night restaurants and mini mart around the hotel. Staff has excellent service.
No complimentary water in the room.
Beautiful lounges and entrance.
No restaurant or dining room where to have breakfast. They just gave a piece of fruit and a pastry in one of the lounges.
The hotel was very nice, friendly, and is a great location for walking to Union Square.
We were put in a room with absolutely no view. It faced right into an adjacent building. Solid wall. It was a surprise one night stay in the city with my daughter. When I explained to the front desk my displeasure, the clerk just replied, sorry???
Location is excellent.
Having just returned from the Monaco, I have to say it was my fault for not reviewing the details on the confirmation but the Hotel does not currently have a restaurant or bar as a result of renovations. They offered a sub par continental breakfast but it was a hassle without any F&B on site. Next time I'll look at the confirmation closer. Also, please note, there really aren't any view rooms even though Booking.com allows you to request a room on upper floors, they mostly look into the wall of the building next door.
The staff was excellent. From the concierge, Austin in particular, to the bell boys and cleaning ladies, everyone was extremely helpful.
Complimentary coffee and Pastries were available from 7 to 9 am only. Should be extended to at least 10 am for those who are jet lagged or like to go out in the evenings. Also the Danish were limited to one piece per person, and being pretty small in size, albeit tasty, could be devoured in two bites.
The staff is great, the hotel is beautiful, and they are super pet friendly.
We couldn't find any parking near the hotel (all the lots were full) and they offer parking in a private lot, but it was $52 plus tax so it came to over $59 just to park.
Great location. Love the fact it is pet friendly. Have stayed at many klimpton hotels. Love the lobby and the wine and cheese
Non-drab decor free WiFi great location lounge area great to work after you check out Great staff
Friendly helpful staff. Complimentery wine tasting after a long day.
Friendly and helpful staff, superior quality with the same price compared to other union square hotels
There was no proper breakfast service but this was not a major problem with many options available in the area.
Very quiet room Breakfast croissants very tasty Convenient for getting around town by public transportation and my rental car
hotel does not have a summing pool Room small but adequate
decore, friendliness, location, wine tasting, bathroom amenities, funky bath robes; complimentary light breakfast while dining room closed for refurbishing
Fabulous room, attention to detail and spotless. Great front of house staff and the fantastic evening wine hour, which as a solo traveller was a time when you could chat and meet fellow travellers/tourists. The location couldn't be better, I got the BART from the airport and was able to easily walk to the hotel. I would strongly recommend this hotel.
Construction noise from remodel of restaurant next door.
The hotel was good and The location exelent they have complementar y bikes that we enjoyed a lot.
We were overwhelmed by the kindness of all the staff at the Kimpton in SF, particularly Jonathan at the front desk. A fantastic hotel and I look forward to returning in the near future! This boutique hotel ticks ALL the boxes. Thank you!!
Location of the hotel is about a block away from the tenderloin district, which is considered a dangerous area of the city. The hostess at one of the restaurants warned us to stay away from the area.
Quite comfortable room
When my room access card was blocked for reasons best known to hotel management
fabulous service and exquisite public spaces
Made reservation at one price but was informed they were able to upgrade my room. However, charged me more! Typically when upgrades are provided, it is with no extra charge. Felt like a bit of a bait and switch. Quite a shock at check-out.
