Room was beautiful, clean, and inviting. Service and care was excellent, and the rapport of staff was exceptional. Adding an additional night was simple, and stress free.
Wish the room had a water view.
The place is amazing, it was lovely for a long weekend in the winter.
That I had to leave.
The stove didnt work.
I can't believe how great of a deal this place was. Awesome view, super kind staff, easy to book and get to, and remarkably inexpensive (at least during the winter when I was there). I couldn't believe it.
bottle of wine included shuttle service big bed
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the bed wonderfully comfortable. The staff members we had interaction with were friendly and helpful. A wonderful experience. We've stayed there before and will definitely be back again.
We stayed for two days right before christmas and i cant compliment the staff highly enough. Debbie, Juan and Patrick were extremely helpful amd courteous, and room 415 was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Ana the room attendant did an excellent job cleaning our room. The property itself is full of history, and the grounds are beautiful. Highly recommended, great calue for the price.
We loved the holiday decorations, the free breakfast and the complimentary bottle of wine.
We will miss the Tres Bella Restaurant which closed on January 1.
I loved the decor as I first entered the hotel. The fact that they had doormen was in and of itself a very good sign to me that this was going to be a wonderful stay. The lady at the check-in was very courteous, knowledgeable and efficient...love that! The room was quaint and cute. We set off the alarm twice while we were preparing our feast from Omaha Steaks that we brought with us. The staff was very accepting about that...I also like the fact that as soon as the alarm went off the front desk was ringing our room...made me feel very safe! Each room is individually owned and we had a nicely decorated room with personal charm to it...as much as one can decorate without ever being ripped off...it's a shame but a reality as we had to return our remotes to the front desk upon check out. We got to see the lobster roll ...closed now...and sight see different areas...I made the reservations a long time ago and during the interim we became huge "Affair" fans so it was cool to drive around and look for possible settings that aired on the new ShowtimeTV hit series.
My boyfriend and I didn't like the fact that the hallways reeked of stale smoke. They had garbage cans with ashtrays on top...empty of course...but a clear indication to me that smoking in that building ceased only quite recently. I have to say our room, room 201, didn't have that foul odor except when the bathroom got steamy from the showers...so the owners must have painted and you could tell the carpet was new. As for the hallways...they need to be renovated big time in order to get that horrible smoke smell out!
The manor was amazing
Location. Old world charm. Well thought out renovations. Cleanliness. Staff.
Atmosphere peace and Quiet and architecture
Restaurant menu and verrrrrryyyyy slow elevators
The lobby was really good! We spent long time with drinking in night.
Restaurant was closed during Christmas, so we had to go to down town to buy every foods and drink.
The hotel was decked out for Christmas with gingerbread villages, trees and two roaring fireplaces. The perfect place for drinks. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They had coffee and pastries for breakfast as the restaurant was closed.
They could offer valet parking. The front lot is small and the second lot is behind the building.
Very quiet and comfy Great staff service Fireplaces On-site facilities
Maybe too quiet Restaurant closed, no bar No breakfast included
The atmosphere, the silence, the warmth, the fireplaces, the pool, hot tub, sauna, the morning coffee and cakes. We enjoyed the understated, yet lovely Christmas atmosphere.
--The castle is lovely, traditional and peaceful --The grounds are well maintained --The room was generally comfy --The staff was very responsive and mostly helpful (one caveat: we needed to extend our check out by half an hour, but they did not oblige) --The DVD lending library is a nice touch and has a pretty good selection
--Pillows were very uncomfortable. --The recess in the wall at the head of the bed was strange--almost like it was designed to get you to bump your head when you lay down or sat up. --The kitchen was nice but lacked cooking implements (cutting knife, anyone?) and the stove burners were out of place and tilted. --Pet peeve: The pool used to be sanitized with the use of salt water. That was so great, but now you've reverted to chlorine like everyone else. What happened?
EVERYTHING. THE MANOR HAS MANY MEMORIES FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY IN FACT I GOT ENGAGED ON THE DEC 24 AT MIDNIGHT.
Quite, peaceful, beautifully decorated. Not one bad thing to say
Loved our room and they even upgraded us to a two floor room! The staff were so helpful and the free shuttle into town is great since you probably won't want to walk to town at night.
Scenery, staff, being upgraded, simply a beautiful reprieve...
Good choice for a nice relaxing evening in Montauk.. A comfortable room with a nice view and close to the lighthouse and town
It's a spacious hotel, with plenty amenities and very nice views from one aspect. Staff were attentive, room service impeccable and well appointed rooms. Quaint yet large. Choice of Spa services completes it well.
Restaurant was closed when I visited and there is no bar. Given it's 5 minutes from anywhere, and although they do provide a complementary car service, it would benefit from some extra hospitality services, even if it's more geared towards being an activities spa retreat place.
Friendly stuffs Good facilities. Great services.
It's hard to find entrance hill at night arrival.
The bottle of complimentary wine
Wow $4.00 for bottled water
