Unique ambiente, very friendly folks around.
It's a minor thing and personal prefference, but it would be nice to have a timeframe in which the host is available. You can always ring, mail or phone, but I'm preffer personal contact.
Staff was marvelous, helpful, and at breakfast most accommodating, especially the lady working the kitchen and breakfast area. Bathroom in unit was modern, practical, and a pleasure to use - especially enjoyed the "heated" toilet seat, that also had other enjoyable functions.
Room was a bit on the small side - but hey, it is in downtown SF. Did not appreciate TV wires hanging bare on wall. Would liked to have known that breakfast was available "to order" prior to eating the great tasting gourmet granola.
First room was too dark and hot. Parking can be a problem.
Very dated. Musty.
I loved my room. You would never guess that it has all the cool things inside. Like the toilet, the heated towel rack. The bed was perfect. I liked the breakfast setup. Everything was clean, and very private.
I was a little confused on how to order breakfast.
Love this bed and breakfast. I travel weekly for business and the Monte Cristo provides a home atmosphere while I'm on the road. I cant stop raving about this place.
Excellent central location. Quaint Victorian decor/ambiance with attention to detail combined with 1st rate modern convenience. Personal service of staff makes you feel like staying with family.
Nice people, comfortable facilities
This hotel was a great find! Quiet and very charming. Upgraded but keeps the Victorian atmosphere. Took taxi to downtown.
The Hotel is small and staff very friendly, breakfast excellent, bathrooms well equipped.
rooms very small, noise insulation to other rooms and hall a problem, plus incredible traffic noise for those rooms facing the road (buses and fire engines all night).
TV was nice and it's close to the public transport.
Very poor value for the money - tiny room with bad taste interior, next to the fire department ( too loud), quite far from the city center, very limited breakfast.
Decor sumptuous. Terri provided outstanding breakfasts.
Bit baffled by fancy all singing all dancing japanese loo
Owner was very friendly and provided snacks throughout the day in addition to a lovely breakfast.
It did not have the sound proofing of more modern hotels.
