Location. Chosen due to conference discount, but errored in reservation; was charged $299 vs. $179. Asked for courtesy of adjustment; was refused. Only reason chosen was for conf. discount. Obscenely priced food and beverages as well. Very unhappy with management decision; they are capable of making this adjustment, but refuse.

The Hotel was Historic yet cozy. Very close to everything. The entire staff was very friendly with the exception of the conceirge. He was very rude and not very helpful. When we asked hom for information he seemed like he couldn't be bothered and didn't even look at us when he spoke. We ended up asking other hotel staff for information and they were more then happy to help.

Excellent location for our needs. Staff very friendly and always helpful. Beautiful lobby. This is the second time we stayed at the Hotel Monteleone. We had a/c problems both times. The first time we had to change rooms. This time we had to leave the thermostat on 55 and freeze, or turn it up and burn up. Also a big renovation of the hotel was advertised. We did not see any changes from our previous stay ten years ago. However, we would stay there again for the location.

Beautiful Hotel, I had 2 rooms. One for me and my husband and one for my daughter and son. Sunny rooftop pool is beautiful and rare in nola, usually they are in a courtyard. Beds are very comfortable, we had a view of the Mississippi. Lobby is amazing, just beautiful. Location is near Canal Street and the end of Bourbon with all the "Adult" Clubs, tacky! I usually like staying closer to Jackson Square and the French Market area.

Beautiful Hotel in the French Quarter. Walking distance to everything. A bit pricey, especially he room service to the pool area. I would rather stay closer to the French Market/ Jackson Square area. This hotel is near the end of Bourbon Street with all the "Adult Clubs" a bit tacky.

We thought the bed was extremely comfortable. The layout of the bedroom is efficient and the furniture is functional as well as attractive. The bathroom layout and size was especially useful and relaxing. The lighting around the mirror could be brighter, but our bathroom had one directed spotlight that helped for applying makeup. The room was quiet, clean and neat. We also enjoyed the lobby and the lobby bar. It was a great place to gather and it was friendly. We enjoyed being able to watch sports on the tv. The rotating bar was fun and relaxing. This is seems very small, but in the guest directory I would put the hotel name address with zip code and phone number on the first or second page. I had to handle some business and finally had to use my computer to get this information.

Location and bar The A/C system sucked and made me sick from it blowing on me all night long. I wont stay there again due to the windows being permanently closed and an antiquated air conditioning system.

Luxurious, well kept up; obviously well run. Extravagant, I mean $19 for a continental breakfast, and $42 for a golf shirt? Come on!

Classic ellegance in a good location to key attractions in New Orleans. The staff was extremely courteous and design/decor of the hotel was beautiful. Disappointed the dining room had not reopened after remodeling. I had believed from website it might be open by now but not so.

The service is always top notched and they do a great job remember former guest and treat you like you deserve to be treated in this type of establishment. The location is in the middle of everything you would want to do in the city of New Otleans and all is within walking distance. Priced higher then most others but the extra cost is absorbed by the high level of service and professionalism. This box has never been needed by my stays at the hotel.

The location was excellent and we were impressed by the ambiance of the facility. The employees who impressed us the most were the ladies who worked in the morning at the continental breakfast buffet. They made us feel right at home. The bar and restaurant were still under construction and so we were not able to fully enjoy the hotel and what it had to offer.

This is my 7th or 8th stay at the Monteleone. I wouldn't care to stay anywhere else in New Orleans. Even during renovation, it has maintained its high quality of service and comfort. Judith Giblin James

Close to the French Quarter The attitude of the staff was not good - they appeared just too tired to give good southern service. The lifts took ages to arrive often times just missing your floor. The breakfast room had big lines every morning - it was like a Holiday Inn Express.
