Great location staff could,nt be more helpfull very comfortable throughout the hotel which is very attractive add to that the carousel bar and swimming pool I would'nt think of staying anywhere else
Welcomed graciously by all associated with Hotel Monteleone.
Many guests for a Monday Night game. Management of Food & Beverage did not provide opportunity to gather after the game to share food and drinks. Very disappointed.
The beauty and history of the hotel. Excellent staff! Fun bar.t
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
Location, location. Bar.
Two beds left no room for suitcase.
Friendly reception and staff throughout our stay, gorgeous lobby.
No one went out of their way to show us why their hotel was $500/ night. I felt like it was assumed I was a rich drunk instead of someone celebrating my sister's 50th birthday in style. Valet parking was poorly handled at check-in time and caused us to have to change our dinner reservation at the Court of Two Sisters. Our security box in the room did not work and no one came to fix it before we had to leave for dinner. One of the beds was very rickety - hardly close to the tempurpedic beds we had at another hotel the night before for 1/3 the price. I thought the hallway carpet looked tired and the staff at the rooftop pool did not welcome us and ask if there was anything we would like. We took in the city view and left. I would have expected chocolates on the pillow and a much more responsive facility manager for the price.
Staff (in every department) was very nice. Location was excellent.
Bathroom too small.
In-Room Coffee Maker and refrigerator; Nice Bathroom;
When booking, requested a water view, but was given a view looking at a building;
Great location, beautiful common areas, good size room, fantastic hotel bar.
The room had full size beds (queen should be the standard). Beds were too soft for my taste. Bathroom was pretty small.
Cruise ship ambiance in the lobby for old school prices Slow service stayed four days never had our room ready before 3pm
The location is superb and the whole ambience is stimulating. This was a long overdue return visit since 1987 and a great pleasure.
Not being able to afford more than one night's stay!
A hair salon would be very nice to have available. The restaurant is the best in New Orleans in my opinion, staff are wonderful from Kaia in sales to all the restaurant staff and managers to the front desk to those in housekeeping.
location cleanliness staff bar
expensive some street noise
Love this location. It was nice staying in a nice fancy hotel in the middle of one of the best places on earth. Must go to the pool on the roof for some great views. Also, must check out the famous Carousel Bar downstairs in the lobby. So glad I chose this spot. Only 1 block from some famous Beignets too!
Just a bit expensive. But that comes with the territory.
Location, luxury, great bar and entertainment. Staff was approachable, knowledgable, eager to assist with any need.
Location and staff
Had trouble with tv and they were slow to let me know the problem. TV was down for entire hotel and they should have said that before my 3 calls to service. Had trouble with safe as battery had run down. They were slow to respond, took 45 minutes.
Location Staff excellent Very attentive garage staff Historical and beautiful
High price of parking
The historic Monteleone is the perfect place to stay. When we arrived, the receptionist at check in was calm and helpful. For some reason, they did not have our reservation even though I had the confirmation page from Booking.Com. He said, "not a problem" and not only gave us a room but also upgraded us since our room category was sold out. Doormen were helpful; one even helped me fold my umbrella that I had purchased at a store when we were caught in the rain. Luxury surrounded us from the lobby to the room to the famous Carousel Bar. It's a perfect location away from the noise of Bourbon Street but just around the corner from the action. Mr. B's Bistro is right across the street and a yummy place for a nice meal. The fact that you are staying in the same hotel where Hemingway, Welty, and Capote slept is a dream for anyone who loves history and literature. We had a refrigerator to keep cold the water we purchased from the Walgreens on the corner, and the cold water was a welcome relief from the hot, humid day. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that we didn't want to wake up. This is a wonderful hotel.
Pretty wel everything
Excellent hotel, great location, friendly, professional staff. Great value in an upscale hotel.
No complaints. Would not change anything.
The location was great, the staff was wonderful, and the hotel ambience can't be beat.
This hotel has one of my favorite bars in the quarter. The hotel lobby area is gorgeous.
The rooms are very small and definitely need some updating.
the restaurant food was incredible the employees the best super clean for its age just great service
the bed was pitiful its probably as old as the hotel please fix problem and than you will be 4 stars hotel.
Location Clean Carousel Bar Front desk staff was really nice! Comfy bed
Room Service lady was REALLY pushy. Room was very small for the price we paid.
The carousel bar was my favourite aspect of the hotel. If you're from Canada like I am, know that they make the best bloody Mary (aka closest to a caesar that i've had in the us). The rooms were beautiful, amazing shower pressure. Great location in the French Quarter.
What they don't tell you is that parking is $48 a night... We ended up parking close by for $10 a night and walking. Not really a negative but the carousel bar is super busy, my boyfriend and I were only about to get a seat around 12:30pm (and that was on a weekday!) So if you want to go and get a seat at the bar go early!
