The location was ideal. The Inn is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and the Aquarium but in a locaiton that is on the water and very quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They made our stay their very enjoyable.

The clerk at the service desk, Quinn, really made us feel welcome at the hotel. He arranged for a bottle of wine and some chocolates to be sent up to our room on account of it being our honeymoon. Excellent service.

Parking charges

The view was incredible and the staff was great. Rick at the front desk was very professional and friendly and he is a great ambassador for the hotel. I would love to stay here again, but for more time than only one night.

The room was very comfortable, the location perfect and the staff very accommodating. We really liked the breakfast served to the room.

The only drawback I experienced was the "wimpy" showerhead. But, that hardly dampened our wonderful weekend!

The view off our veranda was wonderful. The breakfast was delivered each morning at the correct time, and it was delicious. A lot of attention to detail.

The ocean front room was great. We loved privacy of the balcony from the other rooms. We almost did not stay due to the reviews online. Some had mention that it was in poor condition, and a poor breakfast. We stayed in room (313) it was in good condition. As far as breakfast, well it was ok. Something warm would be nice. It was delivered in a timely manner. Coffee was good.

Exaust fan did not work. Not nice Couple of bottles of free water for the coffee maker would be nice. Breakfast could be better, something warm would be nice.

Room over the water. Great view. Balcony.

Wireless did not work in room. Do not see the need to charge $15 for parking. You have no options. Unless you walk there.

Staff were vacuuming and making noise around 8am in the morning. Kids were running around while screaming and yelling.

This was my first romantic getaway with my boyfriend and this hotel was perfect, right on the water and the price was reasonable.

The staff was fantastic. We had a small plumbing issue and because of a certain amount of inconvenience that was really out of their control, we were upgraded to a beautiful room. Something that could have ruined a short trip like ours turned out to be the complete opposite. Wish we could have stayed longer.

A gorgeous property with modern accommodations, very clean and comfortable right on the water. Walking distance from many restaurants and shops. The rooftop hot tub has panoramic views of the bay. A dark wood desk made getting work done comfortable.

Rooms v good size and comfortable Hotel in great position

For a small hotel, they really invest comfort and luxury towards their guests unlike any other hotel. I choose the Monterey Bay Inn because they have most reasonable price for an ocean view. Also, there's a trail you can walk to get down to that beach outside of your hotel window. The complimentary in-room breakfast & afternoon cookies & fruit in the lobby, luxurious bedding, and huge bathroom were the cherries on top. My boyfriend and I enjoyed listening to waves hit the shore when we slept and watching the sea otters swim in the ocean as we sit and ate breakfast on our balcony.

I loved our stay at the Monterey Bay Inn however there a few little times that might bother some people. They offer a complimentary in-room breakfast to be served at your preferred time and at first I loved the idea. But after my boyfriend and I ate, a staff member came to collect the tray. She knocked twice, I was in the bathroom and my boyfriend was getting the tray ready from the balcony and yelled, "just a minute." The lady unlocks our room door and opened it wide, so my boyfriend felt even more pressured to get the tray to her that he didn't noticed that forks were dropping left and right. I picked up the fallen forks and apologize for not being unprepared. Even though, we know it is her job to retrieve our breakfast tray, we felt it rude of her to unlock and open our door wide. Also, I was surprised to find out that my hotel room didn't have a microwave, yet had a refrigerator. Kind of odd.

Fantastic waterfront location, and within a short walking distance of the aquarium, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf. The room was lovely, clean, spacious, but that is to be expected at their price point.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Very bland, and limited in terms of the food available. The selection of drinks was sufficient. But again for the price of the room I would expect a better breakfast to be included in the price, or at least have a better selection available even if you are charged for it!
