Monterey Oceanside Inn  

It was clean, it was comfortable.

The parking lot was not large enough to accomodate the cars. It was very small. There was no coffee pot in the room.

The price

The place was filthy dirty to start with, I had to go buy cleaning supply's and clean the room before I brought my stuff into the room. It was that bad! It had really nice granite tile but the grout was falling out and the room was not fully painted, the bathroom door was broken like someone had punched a hole in it. The unit had nice carpets but they were filthy dirty as well. The desk legs had been broken and were repaired and it looked like it was going to fall over. However Monterey is a great place to visit I do not recommend the Oceanside Inn.

Location and customer service was good. The person in charge gave me all info needed to get to the places where I needed to go.

The room was not cleaned during my two days that I stayed.

Easy to find. Large bathroom good hot shower and hair dryer. Good working fridge. Easy to get to Fishermans wharf and cannery.

Microwave was in office rather than the room itself.

The parking was terrible

Close to the beach, reasonably priced.

Air conditioner was very old and very loud when in use. Bed was a bit hard for my back.

The dried up chicken bone in the bedside cabinet. The paper thin walls - I could hear every word the people next door spoke. Grubby bathroom and door surrounds. I realize it was on the lower end of the price scale, but there is no excuse for dirtiness.

Not very clean. Pictures make it looks so much better. The bathroom was the only nice part of the complex.

Price was ridiculous for what is offered. Motel 6 would have been cheaper and nicer. The drapes fell on my head when I tried to close them. The walls are paper thin and filthy. There was no iron or place to iron. The coffee has grounds in it. There was not enough parking available for the number of rooms/people. I feel ripped off. I will not stay there again and I will not recommend to anyone this motel.

Attractive external appearance and easy access. Relatively convenient for the town and its attractions

Easily the worst place stayed out of about a dozen motels in California and Utah. Grumpy reception, room only just clean enough (poor maintenance and upkeep). No coffee or other facilities in room. Only a large urn of awful stewed coffee available at reception in morning. Reception stank of curry. Very pricey for what it was anyway. Suspect it will get worse before better. Avoid.

The room was small for the money. For the money the room should have had a microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board, which it did not. The heater did not work in the room, so they had to bring a space heater. This is unacceptable in my opinion. The manager was very rude and lacked customer service skills. Parking for the motel was very minimal. The price was higher then what I was quoted on this website. The motel was not worth $189 for a Saturday night.

The toilet was dirty and the shower was moldy.

Good location

I had a very low expectation about the room since the price was cheap but was vey surprised about the roominess and how clean it was. The sheets was crispy white and the bed was comfortable and the room was quite.. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The room had a small fridge, a flat screen TV and two small wingback chairs and a small round table to eat on. I would definetly stay here again!

The Room was large & decorated very well. Very clean room. Very comfortable bed. The parking was small but you could pull right up to your room door. The outside & parking lot had beautiful flowers & great climbing large leafy ivey.

you couldn't see the ocean from the motel even though it was a block or so from the motel.

Nicely decorated building with a lot of greenery incorporated. Cosy room with consistently matched furniture. Spacious bathroom with a large tub, and an abundance of toiletries provided. Much more enjoyable than a chain motel I stayed at the night before. Wi-Fi worked well, as well as the heater. Nice and helpful lady at the reception. In general, I liked all of it.

Contrary to the information provided at the time of booking, there was no complimentary breakfast. Supposedly, they stopped serving it because previous guests hadn't liked it. Not a big issue, as I would have booked it anyway without breakfast, but still the description should be updated to match reality. As far as eating options are concerned, head approx. 300 m north for a nice taquería.

Wenn man auf der Durchreise ist, ist das Motel für ein oder zwei Nächte total ausreichend! Die Zimmer sind sauber. Die Klima- bzw. Heizungsanlage ist zwar etwas veraltet, aber sie funktioniert einwandfrei. Es sind ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Vor dem Motel geht eine vier-spurige-Strasse vorbei, aber in den Zimmern ist nicht viel davon zu hören.

Es ist etwas abseits! Zu Fuß braucht man locker 30 Minuten bis zum Hafen!

éTonnamment, nous avons payé 98$ alors que la réservation hors taxes était de 72$... La chambre était propre mais totalement surannée, on sent bien qu'il n'y a pas eu de travaux depuis bien longtemps. Pour une seule nuit seulement cela reste suffisant mais il ne faut pas avoir de problèmes de dos (le matelas est très très mou) ou être difficile sur la déco...

Die verdreckte Badenische, das undichte Fenster, die ausgesprochen unfreundliche Rezeptionistin, die dünnen Wände - wir haben dem nächtlichen Treiben der Nachbarn in Zimmerlautstärke beigewohnt. Das Leintuch hatte auch Flecken.

La localisation et le rapport qualité-prix. Le parking gratuit.

We specifically chose this for the location and the cost. The room also came with a flat screen, cable, and wifi,which were pluses.

I've never slept on a more unpleasant mattress than the one in our room - and this is coming from someone that frequents hostels worldwide.
